It's sad to see how the main web browser doesn't care about the security on the extensions, i have see and i have reported tons of this kind of addons, and is a complex process to take them down. Too bad Google doesn't double-check the code before making it public. The only thing w ca do is to avoid installing unknown extensions.

I want to spread mainstream adoption of Bitcoin by doing something called "geotagging". For instance, you can look for a location on the map and "pin" it for other people to go there using their phone's GPS and do some "treasure hunting" for Bitcoin. If made possible, this could greatly increase the adoption of Bitcoin and crypto worldwide like never before. There doesn't seem to be an "app" for that nowadays, but maybe I'm missing something here. If you happen to know of a way to do "Bitcoin Geotagging", please let me know. Any help, suggestions, or recommendations will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.  Hey, the idea is great, and as you say, there no app today to make this. If these were in my hands i would use coordinates and not a digital map, this way the project doesn't depend on google maps. And you can use a social network to post those coordinates. Hace unos días se me ocurrió la idea de empezar con el negocio de compra y venta de computadoras. Creo que hoy en día puede ser un buen negocio ya que las personas se están viendo obligadas a hacer home office y hay muchas de ellas que utilizan equipos obsoletos con windows 7.
Y a la par hay mucha gente vendiendo los equipos a muy bajos precios debido aque los bienes sirven para remediar los males. Esto yo lo veo como gran parte de la oportunidad.
Ya que marcas de computadoras hay muchas y es un mercado enorme, me estoy enfocando en Thinkpads, creo que son buenas máquinas que cumplen con las necesidades de hoy en día.
Ahora hablando de números, esta semana compré 3 laptops una x240, x250 y T430, los precios que pagué por ellas son $170, $230 y $140 respectivamente. No son los precios a los que están en el mercado estos equipos, la movida fue comprarlos baratos para inflar $50 dolares a cada una.
Espero que las otras 2 salgan rápido para poder re-invertir ese dinero. Es una buena oportunidad de negocio y quería compartirla con ustedes. Pronto publicaré la actualización de como me va con esto.

Well, that was an interesting turn of event for the hunt. Now I guess they would either have to cancel the hunt because of DMCA or they would have to restart the hunt with a different image. I think its better to open a new campaign and use that 100 eth as rewards dont make another puzzle but a campaign that can help them . A promotion is the exact words and they have bounty already adding that 100 ETH rewards will help advertisers to join in a bounty. They haven't say what will do about all this issue, i think to stop this giveaway and make a new one would be a wise desition and if he decides to move on with this image, then they will only prove how they give zero fuck about the artist, and that is not fair. |

Concuerdo contigo colega, da gusto tener algo de debate en nuestra sección y me gustaría hacer énfasis en que no es seguro hacer esto de enviar BTC por servicios de mensajería, sin embargo podemos desarrollar nuestros propios modos seguros. Por ejemplo podríamos mandar una imagen, que la persona descargue esa imagen y obtenga un sha256 de esta,y luego tomamos los últimos 18 dígitos y hacemos un doble sha256, el resultado podría ser usado como una brainwallet. Lo interesante es que nadie tiene por que enterarse que esa imagen contiene bitcoins. En resumen, el que busca encuentra. |

Enviar contraseñas por apps de mensajeria controlados por Facebook.... mal Enviar claves privadas !!! ... mal, en cualquier contexto! Fatal! Una vez se introducen en algun sistema conectado a internet, esa clave está comprometida, y esperar a que la otra persona haga un sweep en lugar de importarla es casi apostar a la loteria Brain wallets... terrible idea en cualquier contexto; y más aún para enviar y todavia peor en una app controlado por FB.... Ya siento ser tan poco "critico constructivo", pero me ha dolido leer ese mensaje, sobre todo viniendo de alguien que no es precisamente nuevo en todo esto.... Todo mal, todo mal!!! jajajaja  Concuerdo contigo colega, los métodos que propuse son extremadamente vulnerables pero quería hacer énfasis en lo simple que es hacerlo y que hay muchas maneras. Si quieres hacerlo de la forma segura simplemente no hay que enviar bitcoin por whatsap o por cualquier sistema de mensajería, para eso existen las carteras, para enviar y recibir mientras tenemos los BTC en un lugar seguro. |

3. Volatility and purchasing power - isn't this a potential issue? If I bought a car for example for 50BTC, and the current fiat value was worth $ 50 000, but then in a years time the BTC value halves (or doubles), does that not mess around with underlying value of anything significant you may buy with BTC?
This is the main issue about BTC today is at one prize and tomorrow we don't know what will happen. For people like me who join in 2014 to this world, to look back isn't an option. I see bitcoin growing from $300 to $20k and i spend them at all his prices. I regret to not hold but sometimes it feels like losing and others like winning. Think on your example but in the opposite direction, what if you buy a car with 50btc at $50k and the prize of btc goes to the half. |

How did they know those are the total amount of lost coin? I am pretty sure there are more and thousands of those lost coins aren't reported at all.

That's a good point, is hard to know how many coins are already lost, i think some of the holders' coins could be considered as lost coins too. Anyway, it's an awesome graph great job, it reminds me of the Windows Disck defrag. Thanks for sharing the source. |

Creo que no se necesita que la plataforma tenga un desarrollo adicional para poder enviar bitcoina otros usuarios. Si tenemos un poco de creatividad encontraremos muchas formas de hacerlo como:
1.-Enviar un usuario y contraseña de algún sitio en el que tengamos BTC en la cuenta.
2.-Enviar la llave privada de una cartera de bitcoin.
3.-Enviar una frase en forma de brain wallet.
4.-Solicitar una dirección de Bitcoin y hacer el envío.
