1561  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][XLM] Stellar - Decentralized trading platform on: September 05, 2017, 08:44:56 PM
so how many people held and how many people insta dumped? i was an insta dumper when the airdrop first opened. i think i sold for about 1100 satoshis.
1562  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DAO] 🚂 The Movement | Unstoppable Organisation | Airdrop Closed on: September 05, 2017, 08:41:44 PM
if they stay quiet then everyone should take the idea and run with it themselves. that's what something like this is supposed to entail anyway.
1563  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BYTEBALL: Totally new consensus algorithm + private untraceable payments on: September 05, 2017, 08:40:05 PM
Hi. What is your price prediction for next days or month?

I'm absolutely non an expert, so it's a huge chance that i am wrong.
I think next week GB price will be down to 0.06 or even lower. Because:

- probably lot of people are holding to get airdrop and then can decide to sell (and Bittrex itself can sell it's airdrop's bytes)

- next airdrop in 2 month. Some people can decide not to hold bytes for airdrop value

- i don't know any significant factor for price to go up. Maybe you know?

interesting question. i think it's gonna go into hibernation for a while. there's some cool developments on the horizon but the excitement might tail off. there'll also be some hodlers who'll be dumping and there's alot to dump. price is going down.
1564  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: How to buy Tether USD? on: September 02, 2017, 10:37:50 AM
Who in their right mind would actually give away a real dollar for tether?

That's probably why kraken volume is so low.
1565  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Have you dumped your BCC yet? on: August 30, 2017, 10:55:59 PM
I don't believe price will be pumped that hard.

i think it's possible. most will still be locked away. many will have been dumped already. there's no point comparing it bitcoin when it comes to distribution even though it's nominally the same. it's prime pump fodder. between now and the end of the year there will be a mega pump.

even if it's increasingly clear it's no bitcoin rival at all, that ain't gonna stop a few whales having some fun.
1566  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Bitcore - BTX - SEGWIT - BLOOM - ONLINE - CORE 0.14.1 -431110+ BTX Claimed on: August 30, 2017, 10:49:55 PM
I think its a good idea to change the rules. No need the massive dump after 2nd November. I think need distribute faster, but gradually.

byteball have also eased off on their distribution and it'll definitely make alot of sense in the long run.

with bitcore there's one hell of alot to distribute though. perhaps the best thing to do between now and november is try and make as many bitcoin holders aware of it as possible. maybe create a signature people can add that links directly to the distribution page.

i've seen it mentioned in a few big threads. the general opinion is that it ain't worth enough to bother doing.
1567  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Blockchain.info, does recovery phrase recover all wallets? on: August 30, 2017, 10:45:16 PM
coinbase to gdax might be free as it could be an internal transfer on their own database, but then again maybe they're not that closely interlinked.

transfers between your own bitcoin wallets would incur a bitcoin fee as you're using the blockchain. transfers in and out of exchanges to wallets you control also use the blockchain so there's a fee involved.

i don't know much about the coinbase vault. you do have a key, but they also have one. best ask coinbase themselves.
1568  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Blockchain.info, does recovery phrase recover all wallets? on: August 30, 2017, 10:25:00 PM
Can you explain this in more detail please? I didn't understand at all.

if you send with too low a fee then your coins might get stuck forever. however most wallets these days crazily overestimate the fees so it's rarely a problem. it also means you're giving away bitcoin needlessly.
1569  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: New trader, advice on starting up please? on: August 30, 2017, 10:22:22 PM
for argentina have a look here - https://www.buybitcoinworldwide.com/argentina/

try asking here - https://www.facebook.com/groups/BitcoinArg/

very occasionally altcoins are given away for free like decred was that you could swap for bitcoin. there's a list here - https://airdropalert.com/ most of them require linked bitcoin, but some don't.

you might find someone here willing in the currency exchange section willing to deal with paypal, but you're gonna end up paying a lot and you might have to stick around before anyone trusts you. other than that the most obvious route with paypal is with virwox, but again you're gonna pay.
1570  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BYTEBALL: Totally new consensus algorithm + private untraceable payments on: August 30, 2017, 10:09:24 PM
Hello

Does anybody know if cryptox
distributes black bytes upon request?!

Thanks.

as far as i know no exchange distributes gbyte, let alone blackbytes. blackbytes are tied to your personal wallet. they'd have to sync with a wallet you create to give it to you. no way they got the time for that.
1571  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Poloniex: Still safe ? on: August 30, 2017, 10:07:12 PM
even if it is 100% safe, support is so freaking dire that if you have any type of problem, and many do, you might wait months for it to be resolved. no exchange that operates like that is getting a penny from me.
1572  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Bitcoin Cash - Fork 1:1 of Bitcoin - Pro on-chain scaling - Cheaper fees on: August 30, 2017, 10:05:36 PM
How 16,552,975 BCH have been minted in less than a month? is BCH POW or POS?

I have no technical knowledges of cryptos. I don't know how to create a coin, neither a blockchain. Can I try to fork Bitcoin to make my own coin? it will save me a lot of time, brain teaser and electricity cost.

yep. it'll also make you look like an asshole. by this time next year there'll probably be tens of dead bitcoin forks that no one cares about. and if you have no technical knowledge it still needs a little housekeeping.
1573  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Bitcoin Cash - Fork 1:1 of Bitcoin - Pro on-chain scaling - Cheaper fees on: August 29, 2017, 08:47:26 PM
From each other's perspective the other has indeed "taken over" so we see on the merit of the product. I just shot $100 across the bow for super cheap, guess which coin I didn't use.

at this particular moment i'd like to see everyone get schooled, even though it's impossible. all factions need reminding that their way or the highway is screwing everyone.

what i really wish is that satoshi had left after having laid the foundations for scaling.
1574  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What other anonymous coins there. As monero? on: August 29, 2017, 08:34:23 PM
May i ask what's an anonymous coin?

one which has transactions that can't be traced. so no publicly viewable blockchain basically.

though the early users thought bitcoin was anonymous it very definitely isn't.
1575  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Bitcoin Cash - Fork 1:1 of Bitcoin - Pro on-chain scaling - Cheaper fees on: August 29, 2017, 08:30:24 PM
What makes one hostile takeover palatable and another not(do we subscribe that BCC is the hostile takeover, or as result of the rejection of the takeover at play via core), very selective and twisted defining of "hostile takeover" at use in this thread.

i think core are passive aggressive pricks who have stifled bitcoin. i also think they are very competent which is how they've managed to stay at the wheel for so long.

if someone really wants to take over bitcoin's direction all they have to do is come up with better concepts executed in a prudent manner. nothing the big blockers have come up with fits those criteria. they have the money but not the skills or the will.
1576  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Bitcoin Cash - Fork 1:1 of Bitcoin - Pro on-chain scaling - Cheaper fees on: August 29, 2017, 08:24:19 PM
I don't expect 2x to be any kind of threat it was a compromise for the big blockers but they now have this so support should be low to non existent if anything 2x is more a threat to BCH

even if it its problems are sorted and it functions well, all bcash will achieve is hammer home to the big blockers that there can be only one bitcoin.

2x'll be their next chance, but the launch of bcash has exposed them as disruptive assholes and increased opposition to 2x. the only people who'll support it will be the signatories versus virtually everyone else.

they're big players but they're not the community or the market.

personally i would've been happy with 2x had some real developers been courted and consulted and realistic timeline created.

1577  Bitcoin / Mycelium / Re: Mycelium Bitcoin Wallet on: August 29, 2017, 08:15:12 PM
I wonder how Mycelium would fare with a free, basic version and a paid, high-powered version with extra features for people who use bitcoin more intensely and want special capabilities.

I have no experience with app marketing, but it seems that Mycelium is already a bit to good for a free app.

they badly need to do something. they're slowly destroying all the good will they've built up with adding scammy crap to an app that thousands of people trusted once upon a time.

i don't know who's in charge there, but they're stupid.

it needs segwit and total fee control at the minimum, plus the option to pay for it to remove their nefarious mods to it.
1578  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Bitcoin Cash - Fork 1:1 of Bitcoin - Pro on-chain scaling - Cheaper fees on: August 29, 2017, 08:11:47 PM
BCash is nothing compared to the next coup attempt waiting us in November.

it's a great arbiter of the market's appetite though.

as time goes on the attitude to hostile forks will harden. 2x ain't looking any friendlier than this despite the names tenuously attached to it. the lack of replay is the first insult. there'll be plenty more to come.

i reckon 2x will be dead by november and bcash will have helped in that.
1579  Economy / Speculation / Re: When will the bubble burst? on: August 29, 2017, 08:08:52 PM
For the record, too many people think i am talking about a bubble right now. I'm not... i don't care about these "small" fluctuations. I am seeing a future where crypto is implemented in our everyday life and where you and me will be the few who got rich because of early adopting even with just a few coins. I am talking about the bubble in 10-20 years like the tulip mania bubble in 1936. Allso please don't think that bitcoin will still be !the coin! Because That sounds really narrowminded. (Don't take this the offensive way)

so if you're talking a crypto that has conquered the world then the horrific bubble will already have happened if there is to be one. that'll be the final wave of speculation. once speculation is out of the way real users will make real use of it.

and the longer bitcoin stays ahead the more incentive there is for everyone to keep it ahead. don't get into the myspace/facebook crap when switching between the two cost nothing and took a couple of clicks. it's a whole different ballgame when people have real money invested.
1580  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Bitcoin Cash - Fork 1:1 of Bitcoin - Pro on-chain scaling - Cheaper fees on: August 29, 2017, 08:03:03 PM
I would take a friendly fork over all the trash ICOs any day and a hostile fork like BCH

Bitcoin cash would have had a much more friendly welcome to the cryptospace if they chose to use a different PoW algorithm and possibly a higher value too

Imagine bitcoin cash using say the equihash PoW at the current value it would be one of the most profitable coins to mine and could of taken a huge chunk of the ether mining power especially with it going PoS

which tells us everything about the motivations of bcash's creators. as it's always been, it's yet another bitcoin power grab albeit from a different and more destructive angle.
