1541  Bitcoin / Mycelium / Re: Mycelium Bitcoin Wallet on: September 15, 2017, 11:58:14 PM
I had 2 incoming transaction yesterday but both have problems:
1st - Unable to broadcast
2nd - Unconfirmed parent
On txid they are with 60+ confirmations, so looks like it is mycelium problem. Anyone had similar issues? Do I have to just wait of is there a fix to this?

i had this too. the transactions are valid. what mycelium is displaying to you is wrong.

i sent out from the wallet while this was happening and it went through fine despite what the wallet was telling. maybe in retrospect i should've waited for it to sort itself out just in case which it did a couple of hours later.
1542  Economy / Exchanges / Re: BTC-e hacked ?? on: September 15, 2017, 11:55:23 PM
So what is all this 55% talk? Did they get hacked or were their funds seized? I was assuming it was a seizure in which only funds associated with criminal activity should have been impacted.

Myself, and I am sure many other users were not involved in any criminal activity and only had some funds there to trade. So why are we only getting 55% of our funds back? Are we socializing the criminal losses, did the government or whoever simply take 45% across the board? If the later is the case, I think we should have the option to go after 100% of our funds since our coins were not the property of BTC-e, they were simply the custodian. Too many questions seem to be left unanswered for everyone to be simply going oh-well at least they are back.

their funds were seized. the us government took the contents of the bank accounts they could find and i assume btc-e kept the crypto. the americans ain't too picky about whose money they steal in case you hadn't noticed. be thankful people got anything back.
1543  Economy / Exchanges / Re: BTC-e hacked ?? on: September 15, 2017, 10:25:04 PM
so is it a pure withdrawal site or do they intend to continue trading too? i remember their plans changing over time so i don't know what the current score is.
1544  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Which exchange is reliable for withdraw USD or CAD? on: September 15, 2017, 10:23:08 PM
if i had usd i'd go for gemini. it's gonna depend on where you live though. there don't seem to be many options for cad and i wouldn't bother if i had a use for usd.
1545  Economy / Exchanges / Re: BTC-e hacked ?? on: September 15, 2017, 09:23:18 PM
kudos to the btc-e guys. it may be super slow but at least it's happening. and let that silence all the negative assholes too.
1546  Other / Off-topic / Re: Samsung Galaxy S8 plus vs Note 8, which one to go for? on: September 15, 2017, 08:07:07 PM
i had a look over both. the s8 plus looked like the sweet spot size wise to me. the note 8 was just that little bit larger than practical. the note 8 also has a smaller battery. i'd stick with the plus myself.
1547  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Litecoin is the sleeping giant on: September 15, 2017, 07:44:59 PM
i'm interested to see how litecoin will operate without cny markets. i assume the chinese exchanges that stay open will go alt only. that may increase the pumps.

Can I use hardward bitcoin wallet (Ledger Nano S) for this airdrop rather than bitcoin desktop wallet version?

to sign a message? yes. but not if it's a segwit address which ledger offers. it's got to be a vanilla bitcoin address.
1549  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Best airdrop you ever got (or didnt get) on: September 12, 2017, 01:06:17 PM
i've participated in byteball, stellar and btx. they've all been good. i don't care about stellar at all but byteball and btx have bright futures.
1550  Other / Off-topic / Re: What's the most jam packed PS4 games you ever played? on: September 12, 2017, 12:59:35 PM
jam packed as in content and action? fallout 4 has to be up there. it's very cheap these days and there's a ton of story to play with. it also allows mods now so you can tinker with a few things.
1551  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BYTEBALL: Totally new consensus algorithm + private untraceable payments on: September 12, 2017, 12:57:28 PM
Segwit has no protocol for signing messages so at this time it is not possible to do.

wow. i did not know that. that's a huge function to be missing. i'm signing stuff all the time.
1552  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BYTEBALL: Totally new consensus algorithm + private untraceable payments on: September 10, 2017, 11:45:43 AM
time to think

that's not great but all volumes for all coins are way, way down compared to where they were a few days ago.

byteball needs to transition from excitement about the airdrops to excitement about the developments. it's well on its way to doing that.
1553  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you hold chinese Altcoins, and will you keep holding them? on: September 10, 2017, 11:38:53 AM
it's surprising how many alts i've never heard of that are big in china. since that's the case i have zero interest in getting in on something that's dependent on a market that's soon to be deader than a dead thing. they're not gonna make the transition to non chinese markets when there are enough other coins out there.
1554  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Real Reason China Banned Exchanges? Cryptocurrency is a Ponzi Scheme on: September 10, 2017, 11:33:10 AM
the reason china is cracking down is because they're determined to retain control of their population's money. they ended bitcoin's use as a currency in 2014 just as they did for qq coin and others in the past.

anyone throwing the word ponzi around is a worthless moron.
1555  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: List of "Airdrop Coins" based on BTC balance per specific date on: September 10, 2017, 11:07:10 AM
no mention of this site yet - https://airdropalert.com/

some of them look like far more trouble than they're worth but there are some good ones.
1556  Economy / Services / Re: [1 SLOT] ChipMixer Signature Campaign | 0.00075 BTC/post on: September 10, 2017, 11:04:17 AM
of course, he acts like a dictator with hidden, nontransparent rules and nobody is able to read this rules.

let him thinking about his behaviour and let him go public with the rules otherwise negative trust will follow after some time.

EDIT: he is advertising for managing foreign campains. so then it should be in his own interest to be as most transparent as he can. he should prove that he follows the rules of this campain from post #1 in this thread.

first step should be to go public with a waiting queue of aspirants for this campain in the order of their applications.

dude, this is not a good look.

it's a private operation and they're free to operate however they want with who they want. they have no obligation to explain anything to anyone for any reason.
1557  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BYTEBALL: Totally new consensus algorithm + private untraceable payments on: September 05, 2017, 09:10:10 PM
A true hodler doesn't sell in a bear market.  Personally, I'll be hodling for a good 2-3 years until the next crypto bubble.

Byteball is one of the few cryptocurrencies with real intrinsic value, so I'll keep it until well after the end of the distribution.  I may be spending at the merchants when they announce some good ones, too.

i'll be holding too. it's really gonna go places in the future. that doesn't stop me believing it's gonna be a rocky road in the short to medium term.
1558  Other / Off-topic / Re: The most painful thing in your life on: September 05, 2017, 08:58:57 PM
two things have caused me the most bother through my life. one is not knowing what i want to do with it, i can't imagine that's gonna change. the second is betrayal by people who are supposed to be friends. that won't change either.
1559  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ICO forbidden in China? Will same thing eventually happen in all countries? on: September 05, 2017, 08:54:07 PM
it'll be the same as bitcoin markets in china, icos will return there when they're regulated to china's satisfaction.

eventually most countries around the world will regulate them too. there's too much money and too much risk for them not to do something.
1560  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Bitcore - BTX - SEGWIT - BLOOM - ONLINE - CORE 0.14.1 -431110+ BTX Claimed on: September 05, 2017, 08:49:23 PM
Received, with no problems.

They might never let a coin get listed with such a big dev-owned premine that Bitcore currently has. That's why we have to get rid of it in the November by dropping it to holders so the BTX can progress forward. If we keep on the air dropping at 3% we cannot get listed to bigger exchanges in 2-4 years!

Regarding the November's drop - I suggest to do four consecutive 10% -> 40% -> 30% -> 20% (total 100%) weekly drops instead of one 100% drop for the whole November to limit the dumping. These four massive drops should also scale regarding to how much/many BTX one is holding. If you dump after the first or second massive drop you will not get as much in the third and fourth massive drop. The biggest 40% drop is second because it will also smoothen dumping. (Drop percentage is referring to the whole pot how many BTX is still unclaimed.)

Please consider doing something like this!

I like this approach!

+1
I think this looks like a decent approach.

kinda looks like noodling about to me. no matter how it's done, there are so many coins the market will crater no matter what. it doesn't really matter in the long run if it starts to be useful. we may as well get it over and done with rapidly.

in the meantime more bitcoiners need to be informed about them all being able to claim it. that's the main thing that gives it some short term protection from a dump apocalypse.
