361  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Janus [JNS] Blockchain secured global business - Nxt || Ardor on: December 08, 2017, 07:37:58 PM
Hi, could you please confirm if the website Trade Mimic is finally being realeased next week? Just wondering as it's been postponed three times since August.

I hope it goes live this time.

Unfortunately not. I have been diagnosed with early stage skin cancer and am undergoing treatment. I am sorry, but for now this needs to be my focus. We'll re-establish time lines with the rest of the team in the near future once my future is a bit clearer.

Oh shit man. All the best to you in this fight, youll get through it im sure!

363  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [SCAM SCAM]MONEYPOT[SCAM SCAM] officially announced not to buy RBIES as promised on: October 20, 2017, 05:28:32 PM

I am not defending them. And to bring some clarity to your first part. I was an investor in the BetterBets program (the team that made Rbies). And i held over 500k Rbies bought way above the current price for the most of it. I have now swapped it over to the R2B2 token.

And to clarify my stance, im actually very grateful that they gave the investors a chance to get out for so long (something i should have also done).
I would like to make sure everyone remembers that they did not own the token nor make it. (tho some blame of its failure could be placed on them)

As for the answer. Would i like for them to continue it ? Yes, ofcourse i would.
The current situation is what happens when people dont have sound financial planning/understanding.

If you sell them to me for market price, i will buy them. My offer is at 100 sats per coin.

While backing out of a promise does not bode well for them as a business i would still like to remind everyone one simple thing. Everyone who invests in anything, crypto or otherwise, should still remember that we all take responsibility for our own investments. It is easy to play the blame game (even if it is justifiable) but in the end you make your own success.

first of all good to see that we can do a conversation without any personal attacks (very much appreciated). this Scam thread is about Moneypot's Promise and not about me Jackpotracer. I did not promise anything and I own BIES
anyone who has a problem with me can open a thread against me

yes I remember when BetterBets invented RBIES and I said to myself that it was a very clever idea. so you were a stake holder then.
with 500k you still own a nice stake and even switched it to R2B2

we bought RBIES as soon MP announced that they will implement RBIES.  I know that everyone is responsible for his investments. please understand that we were in those times an app owner and we wanted to be a part of the RBIES Bank Roll and wanted to add RBIES to our games. I could show you all the free RBIES Promos we did even RBIES were not implemented yet. we trusted MP and were sure they will implement RBIES "Soon"

as we all know RBIES till today are not implemented same for R2B2

MP did a RBIES decision and no one knows why they took over or were glued to the RBIES idea. only they know and therefore they gave the famous "always" promise. I agree and some more users with me that they did not think it through and ignored warnings from trusted and smart users. we agreed before that everyone is responsible for his Investment decision and this applies also for MP owners.

why would they blame now RBIES holders? it was their decision to give the Promise and just to cancel the promise as Dogedigital did is a much to easy way to let him get away with it, IMO

this wording of Dogedigital when he did the announcement is giving a lot of doubt that he want only good for the RBIES holders
Rubies 2 (R2B2) will be an available cryptocurrency on Moneypot.com within the week.

Rubies will not be accepted, but it is highly suggested to convert to R2B2 via swaps to participate for Moneypot.

Dogedigital wants to force now RBIES owners to switch to R2B2 and this IMO stinks (at least for me). I want to sell my RBIES and not switch to R2B2 at least not at this stage as R2B2 is also an empty promise till today

Dogedigital also promised a floor of 1000 Satoshi for R2B2. do you know or anyone the price of righ tnow of R2B2 in Satoshi?

you are offering the market price of 100 satoshi for 1 RBIES. could you please point me to the exchange where it is traded 100 satoshi?

RHavar, Dooglus and I we gave MP IMO very good ideas how to get out clean of the promise but they as always are ignoring it ( I am afraid that is because all those solutions would need that they own some more BTC)

I dont need to prove me right because sadly MP will prove me right. just a question of time

good luck to all

I swapped over to R2B2 because i think it is the only version under which we have the slightest possibility to get back that price floor. With the 5% inflation, it will never happen. (i could have remained staking but i felt the extra inflation wont help us)

There were several ideas which were put out and all of those sound as they could work. There are a few issues that make me sceptical however. The ICO they did, flopped, the development has been taking ages and it would be substantial financial commitment (especially USD wise) to buy back all the Rbies at this moment. I do not see them doing it, especially as the new version has just launched and they are still working on getting it on track.
364  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [SCAM SCAM]MONEYPOT[SCAM SCAM] officially announced not to buy RBIES as promised on: October 20, 2017, 11:49:41 AM
Has the entire ordeal with Moneypot (delays, promises and so forth) been a god damn shit show ? Sure has.
I see they are understanding that promises like that dont work and they need a whole lot more thought put into them before announcing.

This doesn't however change the fact that you, JPR, are the most obnoxious, annoying and egotistical bastard i have ever seen talk/write.
You have acted like a spoiled brat for so long that if you had put even 5% of the effort you put into trolling and raging on the forums into your game, you would most likely be very successful.

Its a god damn miracle or (very poor understanding of business) that they kept you on there for as long as they did.

Also, Please for fucks sake, start using quotes. The way you are trying to convey your message through the hot mess off bolded text and mindless lines of babbling really doesn't put the message through.

thanks god you chimed in LOL I was missing you and still missing some more

you are a crying shame to still be on MP owners side even they cheating users and Investors but according to your posting you were not an Investor or a RBIES holder because if yes you would cry heavily!!!

ARE YOU SAYING THAT MP WAS RIGHT TO CANCEL THEIR PROMISE TO BUY RBIES AS PROMISED?
"Moneypot will always honour an exchange of at least 1000 Satoshi for Rubies."

lets see your Balls to give a straight forward answer?

edit
you as a Legendary user should give them red trust if you think they did cheat and hurt Investors and RBIES holders! if you think they did fine so you need to give me red trust! easy as that

edit2
sorry I forgot to ask you if you will now buy my RBIES? or what would you advise me to do with it?

I am not defending them. And to bring some clarity to your first part. I was an investor in the BetterBets program (the team that made Rbies). And i held over 500k Rbies bought way above the current price for the most of it. I have now swapped it over to the R2B2 token.

366  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will holiday season affect ICOs?? on: September 27, 2017, 05:04:43 AM
Go look at historic chart of btc/crypto prices and volumes. You will see what is coming Smiley
Some things might change but human behavior during holidays does not.
367  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Pre-ICO Higher Risk? on: September 05, 2017, 06:51:17 PM
I have seen discussions on high bonuses for pre-ICO.  It seems to me this is appropriate for early investing.

My thought is the bonus is warranted as there is likely higher risk involved.  The pre-ICO might not be escrowed as it is being used to fund the marketing and launch of the ICO.  This means if the ICO fails to raise its minimum, the pre-ICO are simply out their investment, but certainly if the ICO is a success, then the early investors are rewarded for their risk.

I see the concern about early investors liquidating after the initial ICO close.  This could cause the price of the token to drop rapidly.  Is there any tricks to prevent this or slow it down?  My thought is the company that minted the token to hold enough demand (Say, 500,000 tokens distributed during pre-ICO, if the company held demand for 500,000 tokens at a fixed price (say final ICO price)) would this help stabilized the possible spike in sales at the ICO close?

Pretty much every ICO in existence has had a pre-ico. This is how whales and funds make their money from the sheep who buy the regular ICOs and it seems to be working just fine.

I wanted to sell 0.2BTC today and i was offered 758$ for it. This means this service is taking a fee of roughly 20% (At the time of trade BTC is trading at 4650$)

While it is a buyers market and anyone can set their own rates, i recommend people stay away from traders as greedy as this one.

371  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why Can’t Cryptocurrencies Replace FIAT? on: July 20, 2017, 07:46:08 PM
Crypto currencies will replace fiat but its rather unlikely they will do so in the near future. There will most likely be gov created tokens that will be used in place of the current system, not much will change other than the costs to run the system. Crypto as we know today serves another purpose.
372  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How many days does it take to learn ICO and Bitcoin on your own? on: July 20, 2017, 07:36:19 PM
Are you still learning?
For example, I have learnt the base of it for 5 days, but every new article or news are lessons for me.
How do you "upgrade" your knowledge?

It takes time, you can learn the basics behind it rather easily but a deeper knowledge requires time and patience. It can take years depending on how fast you grasp things
373  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why Most ICO's are SCAM ? on: July 20, 2017, 05:56:33 AM
Also most ICOs are done by newbies. Why newbies do ICOs? because they want to hide their identities and collect quick money. If they had intentions to do something, they will not use newbie to start ICO.

So all newbie started ICOs are almost guaranteeed to be crap.

By newbies you mean accounts i assume. By your post it seems you assume this forum is the alpha and omega of crypto which is pretty insane of a statement in itself.

The reason why projects are started by newbs is a) as you said they do not want to share who they are and b) They simply did not have an account here. It is as simple as that. You really think everyone who is joining crypto has an account here immediately ? lol

It is just a forum. It used to be "the place" but as new crowd comes in, this place serves more as a place to post some information while main discussion and information sharing takes place in other places.
374  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why Most ICO's are SCAM ? on: July 19, 2017, 06:28:56 PM
Do you know that most of the ICO's are scam .

Well if you don't here are some reasons behind it :-

1.) Most of these ICO's have no business model  Angry
2.) Most of these ICO's would never be profitable  Sad
3.) High Market cap for a project / ICO with no development , code or any past experiences  Tongue
4.) Most of them have a 1 year roadmap which means no vision  Huh
5.) 5 months of hard work and for that they get Millions in funding  Undecided
6.) Dumb people running the shitshow  Grin
7.) Behind the scenes it is all about Money

What makes an ICO legit ?
1.) Working product
2.) Practical Use case
3.) Legit Team
4.) Limited Funding ( Based upon Fair Market valuation )

Why are these days ICO raising so much money ?  Shocked
Answer :- People are dumb and greedy they want to invest in the next ETH , STRATIS , WINGS , EDG , IOTA , XEL but they do not understand that Stratis had less than 1000 contributors and most of these ICO's happened during bear season when most of the people were not active in the scene .

Should I invest in ICO's ?  Huh
Yes , some ICO's are legit and can be good investments such as MobileGo , Edgeless ,  Civic etc which can yield you good ROI in long term but then always due diligence is important .

Should I invest in ICO's with high marketcap ?  Roll Eyes
No , High marketcap means a lot of people have invested in an ICO seeking for quick buck or the ICO team has been dependent on marketing to get more investors which makes a lot of weak hands so when the marketcap is not able to sustain the demand and supply the price will likely go down . When the price goes down is the time to invest but not during the ICO .

I fomo like a noob during ICO as I don't want to miss it .  Cry
Well then you are a fuking sheep who want to buy in today and be a millionaire tomorrow well it does not work that way , you can always buy after it hits the exchange . Always have a good risk management system in place where you are able to manage your risk/reward ratio according to your portfolio .

Always :- Ask tough questions to the team and you will know the reality

Best Regards ,
VerthagOG

While i agree with you that many of these projects are shady and some of them even straight up scams, i feel crypto in general has been playing the labeling game for far too long.

As per your points.

1.) Most of these ICO's have no business model  - So ? They describe what their plan is (be it via whitepaper or other documentation - some even have partial or working products). Giving a shot at something experimental or sometimes even outright stupid does not mean that the project is a scam. They let you know what amount they want and what they plan to do. If people wish to support that idea they are free to do so.

2.) Most of these ICO's would never be profitable - They do not have to be. People seem to be under assumptions that only profitable projects may exist, that however is not the case. Many good projects run at net negative, that does not mean they are a scam however.

3.) High Market cap for a project / ICO with no development , code or any past experiences  - Depending on the ICO, if they promise development (high or low marketcap has no difference here) and they do not deliver then it is a scam. Lack of past experience does not mean it is a scam, maybe they are starting fresh and want to get into the crypto sphere. For it to be a scam, they would need to actually scam.

4.) Most of them have a 1 year roadmap which means no vision  Huh - Vision and direction can be shaped over the course of the year. This does not automatically mean it is a scam.

5.) 5 months of hard work and for that they get Millions in funding  - This does not mean it is a scam, it is THEIR choice how much they want for their projects funding. They set their own goals, be them what they may, and if people think those goals are justified they will give them the funds.

6.) Dumb people running the shitshow  - stupidity and ignorance does not make anything a scam.

7.) Behind the scenes it is all about Money - Tell me me one business that is not after money.

While i agree that there is a lot of money grabbing and outright scamming going on, i think it is time to stop labeling everything as a scam. Its been a plague that has been infesting the whole crypto sphere for way too long and people need to grow the fuck up if we ever want to be taken seriously.

Hi edmundduke, only one shirt is needed. So, whichever the shirt fits better. Wink

Speaking of shirts, don't forget we are raffling another EGCC t-shirt in the month of July, https://evergreencoin.org/product/egcc-t-shirt-raffle/ Tickets are only $1 and pay with EGC and it counts 2 entries /per!

We will get there and beyond, no worries. How long the journey is the only question.

Thanks for the support!

Yeah im joining the draw and if i do not win ill just buy one. I was looking and could not find a T-Shirt with a tree however, the cannabis one looks kind of meh. Can i submit a design somewhere and see if anyone likes it ?

And above question, i ment if the bounty is per tree planted Cheesy

It is time to realize that adding exchange will not change anything unless we get out of this state of nothingness, delays and empty promises. This coin needs some kind of a shift forward in either development or adoption or it will stagnate as it has been for a while now, adding exchanges will not change anything.

I have seen the same thing countless times and the end result is always the same.

Maybe they should also invest in a babysitter, someone who would hold you hand and comfort you when you feel you made a bad decision.

I like the way your thinking  Grin
But demands in here seems reasonable. Regular update and an exchange.

I agree with updates. But people should realize that this forum is a cesspool of bullsh**. I am rather sure they never ment this place to be their main outlet, so people should stop expecting it to be one.
There are updates but they are in Telegram.
