+1 on xpool. Tried it and loved it !! Just have to get used to shifts thing if you've never done it before. Its great! It works. It rocks! Does wonders for DRK.

Keep up the great work guys

Oh, do you have to keep an eye on the shifts?  I mean, I'm really getting close to a payout at slush's pool, and want to switch to xpool so I never have to think about it again, LOL.  Also, I'm hoping that I can do a little better with someone managing my hash, LOL.  But I don't think I'll be able to be "on top of it" if we have to manually switch when there is a shift to another coin?

some advice guys about the following tip i got for my AMD R280X thats currently running at 4.3 MH/s for X11
(using SGminer v5 with -k darkcoin-mod) --> http://www.reddit.com/r/DRKCoin/comments/2bbqt3/holy_cow_batman_i_just_downloaded_the_new_sgminer/

*****************************************************************************************
press g on sgminer, then press x. after that type 500 and press enter. tell me if that boosts your hashrate.
I think you need more than 4-8gb of ram for it to run without hardware errors though. DDR3 ram to be exact.
I also have the new pci express i think its either 2.0 or 3.0 i have to check.
*****************************************************************************************

what does that x 500 (--xintensity 500) precisely do ? i dont feel like blowing up my graphic card just to find out... Smiley

btw.. this is my current batch file (i dont use conf. files) :

setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
setx GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1
c:\sgminerdarkcoin\sgminer.exe -k darkcoin-mod -o stratum+tcp://stratum-eu.suchpool.pw:3335 --failover-switch-delay 60 --no-submit-stale --gpu-dyninterval 7 --gpu-platform 0 --api-mcast-port 4028 --api-port 4028 --expiry 1 --log 5 --no-pool-disable --tcp-keepalive 30 --temp-hysteresis 3 --shares 0 --vectors 1 -u YrUsername.1 -p Yrpassword --expiry 1 --queue 0 --scan-time 1 --gpu-engine 1150 --gpu-memclock 1500 -g 2 -w 256 --lookup-gap 2 -I 18 --thread-concurrency 8192 --shaders 2048

As I've gone full retard and moved into my warehouse where my farm is located, I've gone for the low power/low noise option for my rigs... They still do OK in terms of speed, if anyone is interested here's a whisper quiet config for the fans and it sucks less power:

290 @ 4.7 Mhs (Core Clock 520, MemClock 625) -I 17 --expiry 1 --queue 0 --scan-time 1 --temp-target 75 --auto-fan --no-submit-stale
280x @ 3.8 Mhs (Core Clock 535, MemClock 735) -g 2 -w 256 --thread-concurrency 8192 -I 15 --expiry 1 --queue 0 --scan-time 1 --temp-target 75 --auto-fan --gpu-fan 10-85 --no-submit-stale.
270x @ 2.9 Mhs (Core Clock 575, MemClock 750)  -g 2 -w 64 --thread-concurrency 8192 --rawintensity 81920 --expiry 1 --queue 0 --scan-time 1 --no-submit-stale

rem setx GPU_MAX_HEAP_SIZE 100
rem setx GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1
rem setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100

Enjoy  Smiley

It's all automated. The pool chooses which coin get mined and everyone's hash is automatically transitioned, without interruption, to the next coin. Those coins are then exchanged automatically and the BTC/LTC proceeds are then used to buy up DRK, then your are sent your share of DRK that is relative to the % you contributed.

You do have to give it some time to "ramp" up and get a solid spread of shares. You only get paid for blocks you've contributed to and have matured. So if the pool finds blocks during your shift, you may not actually received the DRK for those coins until the next shift if the block hasn't matured before the end of the shift.

That being said... someone on the darkcointalk board was happy to see when they had to move and turn off all their miners, they actually still earned dark on the 2 days they were moving because some of the share they had contributed to, didn't get confirmed for a couple days. That includes if you mined on a coin and no block was found, it all carries over.

Cheers!

ZPOOL - the miners multipool! Support We pay 10 FLUX Parallel Assets (PA) directly to block rewards! Get paid more and faster. No PA fee's or waiting around for them, paid instantly on every block found!

TanteS you just point your miners at xpool and you dont need to do anything else. They think about everything. There are 3 algos and the shifts mean every algo has its time but all algos mine 24/24... After all btc earned change name through exchange on drk Smiley which goes on every miners drk address Smiley thats all so simple.

Also be aware it's Winter in Australia so that is not a summer configuration, temps on each 280x are around 60 degrees and fans are less than 20%.  I've left enough padding for when the weather changes, I shouldn't have to tweak too much.

Using 14.6 Beta.

I'm using MSI Afterburner Profiles, I find it easier to play on the fly...

I was going to suggest, you can keep clocks at standard speeds, it doesn't seem to make that much difference on power and speed with 14.6... I just do it for good measure...

It makes no difference how I adjust clocks... It's a leftover from the very first NIST5 miner not having the ability to adjust clocks within the software, I haven't gotten around to updating my farm.

I wouldn't put it past an XC supporter - they have a tendency to hi-jack Cloak and DRK posts via reddit/twitter/articles. There's been a fair share of shameless XC plugs in the Cloak thread.
