The rejected goal of Marcos Alonso is not enough to stop them and they did score another third goal to equalize the aggregated result. I was amazed at Chelsea's performance! At first I was sure they would lose, but then I began to doubt... In the end they still lost, but the game was superb! This is the most interesting football to watch. It all happened for 90 minutes + 30 minutes before finally Chelsea ducked and Real Madrid jumped with joy including the supporters who were in the stadium and watching on TV.

No doubt the game was breath taken, Chelsea foot ball club showed class and superb performance starting from the first half of the game until the the 90 minutes.  Chelsea pressed and dominated the game and eventually got the reward in 15th minute with a goal score by mason mount, Antonio Ruediger doubled it in 51 minute of the second half, Timo Werner scored the last goal for the blues and everybody felt it was over for Madrid not until Rodrygo brought Madrid back in the with his goal in 80 minutes, Eventually the French man karim Benzema scored the winning goal for real Madrid, sending the blues back home and assuring the world again that Madrid is the extra time lords, the game was indeed a champions league game.

If you look at their game, Chelsea are very good but I think they were just unlucky. Real Madrid's goal in the 80th minute became their start to be unfocused, as a result in the first 15 minutes of extra time they had to concede again and ensure their defeat. I thought Chelsea would qualify after they were 3 goals ahead of Real Madrid but Ancelotti's substitution in the second half responded quickly by scoring the goal which forced the match into extra time.

I don't know exactly why Tuchel was so disappointed with the referee after the match but I believe Chelsea did a very good job in the match even though I had expected they could win but would not qualify for the semifinals. But Villareal was amazing last night, they qualified for the semifinals after successfully holding to a draw with Bayern Munchen in the second leg which means Villareal are ahead on aggregate after winning the first leg 1-0.

Actually, I don't believe that Benfica will cause too many problems for Liverpool. Liverpool has already got a healthy lead and I do expect them to win in the second leg also regardless of the aggregate score. Liverpool could not get a win against Manchester City in their last match in the English Premier League and I think they will be really determined to win this match.
Atletico Madrid is already behind and I don't expect them to win in the second leg. Don't think they will be able to overcome the odds.

The second kicks off, in the 52th minutes of the second half, Robert Lewandowski finished Brilliantly with a strike and an assist from his teammates, Thomas Muller. This gingers the home side to keep on pressure, you need to see how Coman was driving and using the side 2, Julian Foyth was tried in tackling Coman and was issued a yellow card as in warning. Later in the 84th minutes, Unai Emery substitute Coquelin and put the Nigerian born player, Chukwueze. Surprisely, his second touch of the ball since he  came into the game from bench was the goal Villarreal and Unai Emery was looking for. I disagree with you on the city v athletico game. Away from home, only one goal difference and a collaborative team under the leadership of Simone, pep will not take that challenge without consideration. Look at Bayern last night, all the star power in the world was not enough to beat the Spanish side. I think city will win if they create enough chances and space out the pitch, but they have to be cautious and not underestimate their opponent, otherwise it will be an embarrasing exit to the champions league for a team who has yet to win it.

It was really heartbreaking for Chelsea in my opinion. I really thought they could have a chance if they went ahead early in this match but they actually had ended up with a lead even in the aggregate score but they blew it. And after all the only thing I am thinking right now is how many times Karim Benzema is going to come forward and be the savior of Real Madrid. Anyway a good show all around.

Karim Benzema header helps eliminated Chelsea from the UEFA Champions League. Karim Benzema is the rescuer of Real Madrid, seems like nothing can stop him. Best player this season both score and play maker. Only one thing is sure if Karim Benzema win the UCL. The Ballon d'Or belongs to him. He merits this year Ballon d'Or more than anyone else.
