201  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Bull has Started But Not Yet ATH. on: February 26, 2024, 08:25:23 PM
Bull run depends on the timeframe
It could be short, mid or long-term
And the way things are all terms are leaning favourably towards a bull run.
The bears might deny it but we already in a bull run since last year recovery.
Any price of BTC lower than its ATH is a good price to buy
To me it's like the undervalued section.

About pocket money on investment
The truth is this would only bring a substantial gain if it's done as a DCA i.e not a one time investment but continuous.

At first i was skeptical when a friend of mine recommended it for me when asked about a social site that can protect my privacy. Goodness was i proved wrong. The app display is beautiful (looks matters to me), easy to navigate and best of all protects customers data. Meta despite is fame hasn't been trustworthy in this font. Many might not know but phone number can be a reason an individual gets bankrupts or impersonated. If you value privacy and security i highly recommend using this app.
204  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: February 24, 2024, 07:45:38 PM
...
Wow it's beautiful.
I use Firefox
I was the one that didn't see the changes before thanks to my poor network.

In 20 years? We can't really tell though but am sure it would still look like a Number 1
205  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: February 24, 2024, 12:08:39 PM

A beautiful take on as a shuriken I might not be a lover of green but wouldn't Green be better in place of the red.
Since we like interested in shooting greens.

Funny that Bitcoin is also a cryptocurrency.

Snip
2021 just a car?  In my country that's a well furnished house
Current Bitcoin can do same but wouldn't be of same standard
Since inflation is eating my country like monkeys to Bananas.
209  Economy / Reputation / Re: Since Richbased locked his thread.... on: February 22, 2024, 11:38:24 PM
They most probably have concluded you are too generous therefore are trying to get as many merits out of you as possible.
I have benefited from such generosity and it really helped in trying harder to improve
Since it felt like there's someone out there that would see your efforts.
About knowing?  Personally learnt about it after seeing an account I merited having merit from different post from Sceptical chymist
At first thought after checking his merit history and seeing others who have benefited
I felt it was a coincidence and thought  that if you lucky and he stumble upon a good post of yours
He would check your other post and merit you.
Was hopeful but never came
Until I heard about posting review from an account last year about Sceptical chymist and felt like giving it a try
Which I did but after it passed a week I thought my post never met his standard.
Until I received it this year and was shocked it came through especially when I was experiencing some merit drought.

I believe there definitely would be people taking advantage of it especially towards individual they consider generous
But like fillophone merit share thread
It has encourage alot of individuals.

Having alts is OK, but using them to apply for a non-collateral loan is abuse/cheating, and the neutral tag is valid.  Wink
Seeing the actions of our fellow Nigerians I'm feeling ashamed
Heard we were promoted to the second most corrupted country and there are individuals here that are showing the reason why.
You will know about this word
Good name is better than Riches
This situation is a proof of such word.

Never thought I would get this far but fortunately I did
I know it might be less of achievement to some but to me it's alot
It shows to me that growing in knowledge isn't for naught.
Still recall the past when UTXO,Segwit and the like felt foreign to me
But now I'm even using them.
211  Economy / Speculation / Re: 100 Push-Ups A Day Until Bitcoin Is $100K Challenge on: February 22, 2024, 10:58:07 PM

Personally, I would love to have a day or two off to let my body recover, but that is what makes this a challenge.  It is definitely getting easier though.  I've worked some core exercises into the routine so that my abs won't be left out, but I'd like to step up some leg workouts as well.
Lol would love to see you say this when we do clock 500K
Been almost  consistent with the exercise though but work and stuffs made it that I can only hit 60's around Sat and Sun and the others well according to my strength but more than 40 though.
Don't wanna jinx the price going lower than that because I was too lazy.

Well if it does though I would just rant and still buy some.
Respect on your determination to the challenge OP.My heart has such but my mind and  body isn't willing.
212  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Justin Jon Said Ethereum is More Decentralized Than Bitcoin on: February 22, 2024, 10:44:00 PM
Quote
Ethereum leads in decentralization, thanks to its robust validator ecosystem and client diversity
Not when they are using proof of stake where one with the biggest gun takes the shot.
Talks about diversity? What's diversity where there are 100's of ant and few elephants
The more money staked
The more control one gets
So how's something of this nature more decentralized than Bitcoin.

shiba inu has a larger market cap than litecoin according to coinmarketcap data [1], so does that make shiba inu technology greater than litecoin? not at all.
This is different
Shiba inu is a meme while Litecoin is a failed Bitcoin knock off
He's not comparing technology to price
What he meant is that if Ethereum is so great it's price movement wouldn't be mirroring Bitcoin and this became worse after the switch to POS.
Ethereum became more centralized after their so called upgrade.

Good thing I searched for an issue similar to mine and not creating a thread
The thing is my Thread was locked without my notice and was surprised to see it today
Was curious the reason it was locked
It's stated it was done by an admin and can't be unlocked(felt like touching the unlock button)

Truth is am not used to locking thread
I was of the notion that the traffic would fade and everybody would move on

FACTOID FOUR:
"I'm sure that in 20 years there will either be very large transaction volume or no volume." -- Satoshi
What satoshi meant was that if Bitcoin is succeeds then the community supporting it would be huge and if it doesn't then it would be lost in the annal of time. In a nutshell Bitcoin can't do medium either it succeeds or fails.
Quote
If we say "created out of thin air..." It looks as if the subsidy is not among the 21 million bitcoin in existence.
The subsidy and transaction fees makes up the 21million Bitcoin in existence. Subsidy is the amount of Bitcoin that is mined per block.  It's not really out of thin air.miners are competing mathematically and their reward for their work is the subsidy. Bitcoin provides a service and it's token it's bitcoin.
So Bitcoin isn't explicitly created out of thin air since it has cost and values.

If the network is as flexible as said above, why developers have misunderstanding leading to hard fork. Soft forking should have always been the solution for improvements
the words here has answered your question. Decentralization and absence of government control is a proof it's flexible. Even it's uses and growth plays a role in it's flexibility.

Too lazy to go further about the miners, Halving affects their profits and congestion help mitigate things.Halving reduces reward and the cost of mining increases so they are going to find it harder as time goes on except of transactions fees increases
The difficulty can be seen now in mining Centralization that's on going now.
216  Other / Meta / Re: Demand for non-Telegram forum notifications? on: February 21, 2024, 08:06:02 PM
I don't know
I feel even if you pick another option
Not everybody would subscribe to it
Some prefer Websites
Some would prefer the email
Their preference stems from various reasons
Imo, wouldn't creating another come along with some costs especially in cases of setting up a website
I don't really use my telegram account for anything at part from using your Bot.
But some users are concerned about their privacy
So a website to send the notification would be good and subscription can be based on their Bitcointalk handle.
Something like a web push Notification
This can help protect privacy especially when used together with a good VPN or browser that supports users privacy.

220  Economy / Reputation / Re: [Discussion] Bitcointalk Community Awards 🏆 on: February 20, 2024, 02:02:35 PM
I think the Tits showing would be going too far
Most wouldn't consider the reward to worth such
I understand our need to verify the gender of the winner
But it would be easier to leave it the way it is and judge the winner by the gender of their internet persona
Well this is the lazy solution
Not a fan of over working my head.
