So?

Well, thanks for turning to logic puwaha. Not too long ago you were once considered a shill. You have now transcended your previous form and accumulated a degree of truth. Congrats puwaha. Good to have you in the free thinker's area.

My attitude soured once the "floor" lie came true.  The waffling (pun intended just for your screen name) since then is just irritating to me now.  Trying to use CFTC and "market manipulation" as a reason they couldn't support a floor was just more lies, or a complete lack of understanding concerning what they were getting into.

As I tell people on HT... It's exactly like those late night commercials you see where some pawn shop says "We will buy your gold for higher prices than anyone else in town!".  That's not illegal... that's free market.  Most importantly... for it to qualify as manipulation... it has to harm someone. No one is being harmed by getting more value from their coin by dealing in paybase versus some other exchange.

Came true? You mean all the people that wanted a scam created one by selling something intended for trade, they are the scammers.

Or is it just to be the bully knocking over some one else's sandcastle because yours sucks?

Hang on now... are you saying the "floor" lie is somehow the customers of GAW's fault?

Quote
Every coin that has came out has been turned to shit by pump and dump scammers. Why is litecoin crap now? Why is Dogecoin so devoid of value now? Its very pathetic. Last year there was less than 130 "altcoins". Now there is over 500. And everyone of them is more of a scam than anything GAW did.

No where in my post above did I mention anything about a "scam".  I said the floor was a lie.  I'm going to assume you quoted me to to make a point and were not really directing this towards me.

There was no lie about a floor. They did honor that. Then they stopped.

So we are going to play word tricks to defend the lie?  I don't really know if I want to get into this with you.

Paragraph after paragraph of nothingness... to ultimately end up with this:

In the end, however, we know that the marketplace controls the price of the coin . . . but when enough people come together, and when that scenario seems very much achievable, the $20 valuation is quite fair.

The underlined part is their really poor attempt at an excuse.  And it's not true if they have funds to support a coin buy-back.

The bolded part is just more nonsense to say that they will not honor a floor that they specifically said they would.

All of the blog post is just a big dance around the issue.  They didn't provide any technical reasons why they couldn't support a floor,

So he bought a new car a few months ago, msrp is $58,000 http://www.chevrolet.com/corvette-stingray-convertible.html. Wonder if it's true that he sold the Ferraris?

Has anyone ever thought that maybe he doesn't own any Ferraris?  Maybe he just posed in front of some that were owned by a friend or in-law family member?

Needs disclaimer inside the image itself indicating the vest is 'shopped, lest the acolytes fall for the inevitable "those guys on BCT are making up 'evidence'".

That's not really evidence of anything, so I don't think a disclaimer is necessary.

Something strange that I notice is that it appears that the original image posted by Josh on that Myspace page may actually be Photoshopped. Check out the black outline around himself. Is that just an artifact from shrinking or something, or is the original itself PS'D?

The ringing is probably from shrinking and the high-contrast background to him.  The shadows look fine.

I was a few pages back when I posted--curse my need to be gainfully employed!

I'm digging your vest, TracerX!

I don't know... looks like a scam to me.

That would require the acceptance of some sort of payment of which there is none. Please make up your mind some other day.

Until proven otherwise, everything is a scam to me right now.  Sarcasm... out.

Btw, love the GAWminers referral link in your signature. :p

Looks like HT exmods have their own forum now:

http://forum.gethashing.com/

No thats not our own forum, far from it - have a read about and see what its all about Smiley

Well, in my defense I need to point out that when you open the site and see a lot of familiar names... that's the first thought that comes to mind.

GHcloud, GHpool, GHexchange... don't mean any disrespect, but I'll believe it when I see it Smiley

I don't know... looks like a scam to me.
970  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: GAW Zen Hashlet PayCoin unofficial uncensored discussion. ALWAYS MAKE MONEY :-) on: January 05, 2015, 01:54:35 PM
Seemingly from reading Hashtalk paybase wont let you sell xpy ..strange?

I can verify this is being going on for days.
It seems another pathetic attempt from keeping people dumping xpy.
Once you login and do the authy code you are greeted with an "Error - can't process at the moment" message.
True in the GAWsome spirit, this "moment" lasts for DAYS...

I have liquidated all my account in GAW since a long time now but left 25 xpy to watch the show.
Well, those 25 xpy is impossible to move from paybase for the last 3 days now!!!

Really?  I've been selling my coins on paybase daily for the last 4-5 days... no problem.
971  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: GAW Zen Hashlet PayCoin unofficial uncensored discussion. ALWAYS MAKE MONEY :-) on: January 05, 2015, 01:39:00 PM
I was just ranting about the .97%/day = 3000+% annual stake rate.

Maybe the geniuses at GAW forgot to take compounding interest

into account. At first sight, .97% per day does look like about 350%/year.

This is one of the better points in this thread. They multiplied instead of using an exponent.

You can't re-stake a prime controller.  Once you put the coins into it to start it up, you can't just keep putting coins into it.  So it's not compounding interest.

After the "round" (6 months) is up, you can re-stake the prime controller, and it has to be a minimum of 1% of all total coins.  So you can't just sell off all the coins your prime controller generated during the round of 6 months.

972  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: GAW Zen Hashlet PayCoin unofficial uncensored discussion. ALWAYS MAKE MONEY :-) on: January 04, 2015, 12:35:35 PM
And don´t forget that by year six there will be about six Quadrillion coins !

Is there any evidence of the hyperflex mechanism?  It's supposed to adjust coin creation based on demand... so it may not be a steady amount that would add up to 3000%.
973  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: GAW Zen Hashlet PayCoin unofficial uncensored discussion. ALWAYS MAKE MONEY :-) on: January 04, 2015, 11:31:22 AM
It's clear that they know incriminating evidence or have had chats with such material in them. We're not like the sheep on HashTalk. You can't just waive an NDA in our face and we think that everything's ok. We're wolves, and we'll tear every last scammer involved in this to shreds if we have to.

And that may be the point.  Possibly, not saying this but it is possible, they are simply giving a potential prosecutor a "raised hand" in a public forum in case an investigation starts... An NDA can be nullified by a judge very easily and would produce zero blow back while still allowing for the release of information.
This is somewhat incorrect. If they knew of it, they should have alerted the authorities immediately. Not doing so is aiding and abetting and they are liable for it.

Just stop, WaffleMaster.  Unless... or until they are compelled to speak about what they know via a subpoena or affidavit... they are not aiding and abetting, and are not liable.

There is no law that compels you to report a crime, and there is no proof that a crime has been committed here.

LOL You a high class Bitcointalker? Dam, you good, how does one achieve such status of you? Maybe you should write a guide for the new people and this should be stickied... Was it a born to be kind of thing? When you're born you just know your destined for bitcointalk elite?  That comment made you sound dumb as fuck.  Roll Eyes

Do you talk to people in real life like this?  I hope not... I'm going to assume you forgot your </sarcasm> brackets.
975  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: GAW Zen Hashlet PayCoin unofficial uncensored discussion. ALWAYS MAKE MONEY :-) on: January 03, 2015, 01:15:16 PM
This is just rich... they just now realized that price manipulation could be illegal, and they have no plans of ever restablishing a floor:

https://hashtalk.org/topic/27529/30-days-of-transparent-questions-and-answers

Quote
Outside of the significant drain supporting the marketplace had on our reserves, we have since learned that the CFTC (Commodity Futures Trading Commission) has specifically stated that they can hold a company liable for manipulating pricing. For these reasons (and the ones above), the “hard floor” strategy cannot succeed and we have no plans to re-implement it.

So... it's official.  There is no floor... there will never be a floor, and we were all lied to.  Scam or no scam, the very basis of what everyone had used to make the mine hashpoints and convert to stakers decision... was a lie.

If AnimoEsto or nemesio are still around, I'd like to ask how shadow banning works.

I asked BitJane to reinstate me as I wasn't disrespectful to anyone.  She said she's not an admin, so she couldn't tell me... but she is listed on the Global Moderators group.

I guess I'm on a watch-list or something, as the responses were very curt.

Shadowbanning (its actually called "Squash" in the control panel, its available to all moderators - though Josh has stated that he is the only one to meant to be using it - I now have concrete proof otherwise, basically it removes all the user posts from the views of others, however, it cannot remove quoted/embedded posts.  The user can still see their own posts and it appears (to them at the least) that they are still active in the forums.  Moderators cannot even see the persons posts without unsquashing them - all the "old school" moderators, Myself, Blazecoin, Madmacs, Volder, Nemesio, Cyberlizard, etc are against this as its a highly unfair punishment as the user cannot see that they have been squashed (unless they sign out and go to their own profile).

Josh has described this as a "Toy" and to be used only by him on trolls and people spreading FUD, as I said I have concrete proof that at least one moderator (who I will not name yet) was shadowbanning.

BitJane - is only asked by GAW to check the spelling on Josh's posts so she isn't allowed to unban or ban anyone and can only advise - the easiest method to let BitJane edit Josh's posts was to make her a moderator - that way she has access to edit posts, she isn't a moderator at all in the true sense of the word.

Thank you for that info.

I saw your comments in the "open letter" thread at HT (well, what I could see anyway,) so I have my suspicions.

Fixed.

'Preciate it.  Glad I caught you in a whisky-flowing good mood.  Cheesy
978  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: GAW Zen Hashlet PayCoin unofficial uncensored discussion. ALWAYS MAKE MONEY :-) on: January 03, 2015, 10:01:42 AM

I've had several of my posts in this thread reported to the moderator.  Every one of my posts that were removed were my responses to personal attacks and threats.  Goose/gander type thing here, right?

Well... that didn't take long.  I got shadow-banned at HashTalk.

Not sure if condolences or congratulations are in order Smiley

LOL.

You can tell from my writing style here that I'm not disrespectful... usually.  So I don't understand what I did to get shadow-banned, other than the obvious... pure censorship if a whiff of dissension is detected.

Or, I have been put on a watch list because of my recent comments here.

Just fill that out. Good luck!

Thanks, isn't there a log that tells why someone was shadow banned? I don't see any information on the site that explains this

I am not an Admin.

oh sorry... you were in the global admin list

My first reply was "I don't ban. I don't know." Please submit that form for fastest response.

Hey you guys remember the good old days when hashtalkers used to come on here to defend paycoin2 and Homero to the death?

Miss the good ole days....sniff.sniff.

Lmfao

To be fair... some of the participants here are low class.  I'm not going to name anyone... they know who they are.

On the same topic, it's been beat into their heads at HT that all dissension is FUD and trolling.  So, I get why they avoid other forums.
