2041  Other / Meta / Re: Ban Appeal For naim027. on: October 09, 2022, 02:56:06 PM
I had no choice other than writing it here because of the ban evasion.
I think it's better if we rewrite the ban evasion rule. It should include Scam accusation with appeal option in Meta.
2042  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T-20 CWC Prediction Pool 2022 on: October 09, 2022, 02:48:42 PM
@JSRAW, why you have sent 0.00009 BTC extra with your entry fee?
I assume is being generous. It helps to cover the transaction cost.

@JSRAW I am waiting for the link on superbru. :-)
2043  Other / Meta / Re: Why there is NO meme category in this forum? on: October 08, 2022, 08:16:32 PM
Unless the altcoin industry grows big enough for the Altcoin section to be a bit too active, I don't think so.
Aren't they already big?
Only in coinmarketcap you can find 21,247 crypto tokens/coins means 21,264 alts we have so far. This must be a big number unless you count the quality over the quantity. All shitcoins are more or less pump and dump schemes anyway.

In the first place as far as I know the BSV board suggestion wasn't specifically for BSV the cryptocurrency, but mostly concerning Faketoshi.
Yes it was.
2044  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T-20 CWC Prediction Pool 2022 on: October 08, 2022, 06:47:38 PM
Did you mean 1.5 mBTC or 0.00015 BTC. I think it was a mistake though I haven't read the other discussion thread in recent times. I was about to send 0.00015 BTC lol. Please fix it accordingly and confirm and let me be the first to pay the fee (have anyone? I haven't checked address balance yet).
It seems fixed LOL.

@JSRAW, I will send my entry fee shortly and update on this post.
Good work buddy.

Edit, btc sent

You are wrong here.
Posts made in "Serious Discussion" and "Ivory Tower" boards don't increase your post count at all.
For more information, see the post made by below.

- Posts in Serious Discussion only activate a potential-activity period. They do not increase your post count.
 - Posts in Ivory Tower neither activate a potential-activity period nor increase your post count.
Dammit! It all were in the mind and I did not crosscheck before making the post. Was I right about Investigation board?
2046  Other / Meta / Re: Do you want a BitcoinCleanup factoid? on: October 07, 2022, 04:38:27 PM
A yes!
Why not? After all it's promoting and defending bitcoin. That's we all are doing.
2047  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket WC Pool Discussion on: October 07, 2022, 04:25:08 PM
Passive income through a betting pool? How? This is the first time that I have heard of something like this in the gambling world. If this was actually possible, a lot more gamblers would be interested in participating in these betting pools.
Maidak is going to win every round and hopefully we will have some prize for weekly round winners. This way you can tell that there will be some passive income generated. :-P
2048  Other / Meta / Re: Why there is NO meme category in this forum? on: October 07, 2022, 04:20:44 PM
All those who want this category, Please vouch this post.
I want an NFT category. :-P
Anyway, few days ago there was a discussion to have board for BSV, in future we will have demands for BCH then for all other cryptocurrency. We already have a board for Altcoin discussions.

I believe this Meme category will be a good addition to the forum as lounge for user that want some light and funny discussion.
This is not an image hosting forum like giphy. We are fine without having such board. Besides the bitcointalk meme topic is serving the purpose very well. I sometimes check the posts on that topic and laugh my ass off :-)
2049  Other / Meta / Re: The curious case of the Brand New user with posts on: October 07, 2022, 04:07:36 PM
Besides, if his posts are in trashcan... shouldn't their number be shown as 0? Perhaps a mod can bring more light here...?
Technically no, the number will show exactly the number of posts they made.
Compare it with Investigation board, Serious discussion, Ivory Tower. If you make a post in Investigation board then below members can not see it but they see the post and activity count. On Serious discussion and Ivory Tower it's the same logic but that's for below Full member rank. So everyone can see the post and activity count but they can not see the posts that they are not allowed to access.

Edit:
I am a bit in doubt about activity now after looking at the AIbotBTC activity has not been updated yet. Mod can answer on this but my guess will be when theymos scripted the activity feature then he excluded trashcan from counting it. Have in mind the SMF default feature does not have an activity module, theymos himself designed the module.
2050  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Indiegogo launch - help us! :o on: October 07, 2022, 03:57:56 PM
OP it's better if you compile all response in a single post rather than making several posts for several responses. Like you did 1, 2, 3, 4. We all are abide by some unofficial rules which you will find here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=703657.0

Anyway good luck with your project.
2051  Other / Meta / Re: The curious case of the Brand New user with posts on: October 06, 2022, 03:17:12 PM
Any idea why this user did not rank up to Newbie or why his posts can not be seen on the forum?
Maybe all of the posts were moved to trashcan. This means technically the posts are not deleted but as regular users we can not see them. Since they are in trashcan, perhaps that's the reason the activity did not count to.

These are my bold guesses LOL
Looking at the trust feedback it's obvious who the account holder is, especially when the feedback were coming from NotATether, Foxpup, and dkbit98
2052  Other / Meta / Re: Bitcointalk sending unsolicited e-mails (spam)? on: October 06, 2022, 03:12:17 PM
I wrote a long text with possible options, then I saw the problem: you forgot to set in your profile the e-mail address stay private. So everybody can see your e-mail address in your profile. Anybody could have sent that spam.
Next time make sure "Hide email address from public?" is checked. Wink
I was reading OP and wondering what's going on. I was even thinking possible ways to get the emails like having the DB hacked or bots are scrapping emails or there are such email generators which work automatically and generates email address. Most of the times they get invalid emails though. Success rate is too low. And then I read this response before checking the profile LOL

It's still public :-P

OP go here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=547217;sa=account
Look for "Hide email address from public?"
And mark it active then press the "Change profile" button. You will need to enter your password before updating by the way.

Update
Go here to change your privacy settings (it's near the top): https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;sa=account
I didn't know it was working without uID too. :-D
2053  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Indiegogo launch - help us! :o on: October 06, 2022, 03:02:38 PM
certainly not universally perfect solution.
I don't think there is any universally perfect solution. We all try and give the best. While I don't understand everything that OP is trying to do but I feel that he is trying something on top of the existing options we have. Every good initiative worth trying.

I was looking at the differences. These comparisons between a software run device and a piece of metal is actually not relevant at all.

A metal really does not need to have encrypted. With a cleaver combination someone easily can hide some information which even if it ends up to the wrong guy still they can not get the idea of what was there.
In a metal sheet it's obviously does not make sense to have password.
Well nothing has forever warranty or guarantee
Open source of course nothing to do with a piece of metal.

Welcome back and can understand that so no worries.
It's starting from Oct 16 (10 days window). Well, I would request you to take charge of Escrow's responsibility again.

Guys, should we lock the entry fees to 0.0014 BTC (around 28-ish bucks)?
Looks good. How about making it a round one like 0.0015 btc maybe?
2055  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is Trust wallet and is it safe? on: October 05, 2022, 10:13:28 PM
But those who are big investors and those who are legends use the exchange wallets which are the most secure which are less likely to be hacked.
This shows you have lack of understanding of how to keep you crypto safe. Anyone who have large amount of crypto is never going to keep their coins in an exchange. Instead of giving you the direct answer I would give you some clue to study.

Study about custodial and non-custodial wallets, study multi-sig wallets, hardware wallets, ways to keep your seed/private key safe.

I was following up your topic on meta, to see how you are doing. You need to learn before suggesting others anything.
2056  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Indiegogo launch - help us! :o on: October 05, 2022, 09:55:05 PM
Let me know, where you save your passphrase today, on a paper?
I don't think anyone with crypto for long time is going to have their passphrase only in a piece of paper or in digital format with single point of access.

CryptoPlatz Card it is to save you passphrase or mnemonic on a device more resistant than a piece of paper.
What benefit does it bring over saving passphrase on a metal plat or any other fire resistance methods available?
2057  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket WC Pool Discussion on: October 05, 2022, 09:37:17 PM
Count me in. It does not matter how much is the entry fee.

I also feel that running a pool without at least 10-12 participants is boring. So far it looks like for this WC, interest is not so great. Nowadays most of the regular users are not active in cricketing threads and I hardly see them there, let's see.
Sorry I was not available from last few months. A lot has changed which effected the spending time on the forum too. But it seems things are getting back to normal and I am hoping to get active again. I have no idea when the WC is starting LOL but anyway I am sure we will be able to make a decent numbers to join in the pool.

Let me know if I can help with anything.

ignore list along with the tiny clique of trolls that chased me for a while before giving up
Frightened?
I thought I was in your ignore list from long time including others, what changed in between?

I love my dog, we are good friends and loyal. when sometimes it asks too much attention I fake my anger. It then hides behind the doors and pretends not seeing me. My dog is not coward. It observes me and waits for its time to start playing again.

Having me in the ignore list is another lie from you. You only use the word and use it when you are unable to have a liberal discussion. It's a trick for you when you are running out of your nonsense arguments. You did not have any answer for my last post because the data shows you are a liar. So like my dog, you are watching and patiently pretending that you are not seeing the posts until I cool off.

Stop playing your word games in topics/posts related to me from any of your accounts. Whatever you had to say you said it in my trust page. I don't hide behind ignore list excuse so I will find you and response your nonsense accordingly. Coward!
