If I win you can peel the coin and give me the bitcoins and give the blank coin to second place

This raffle was created to avoid ME doing such a thing though lol, but fair enough!! Smiley

O jeez. I guess I'll just keep it then, I didn't think people would have such an issue with peeling a coin! Maybe I'll peel it myself and post a video after I redeem

Hahaha, I won't lie.. I have been tempted to peel that coin for a while!! I am yet to peel one! The temptation became too great and I decided to raise some money instead Grin
It isn't a problem, I can happily do it, it's no longer mine Smiley
If you win, just say in the thread and I'll do it, and pass on the coin to defcon23 to post to 2nd place Smiley

Damn, I missed a lot in this thread. I'm not willing to get involved either, but I will say that defcon23 has been a competent person to deal with. I'm actually waiting on a couple of things from him, but I have no doubt they'll arrive shortly. Anyway glad to see that some peace has been reached.

2317  Economy / Collectibles / [CLOSED] Win a LOADED 0.1BTC LEALANA 1/4oz Silver Coin + Prize for 2nd on: July 14, 2016, 05:19:32 PM
RAFFLE IS CLOSED, THOSE WHO HAVEN'T, PLEASE UPDATE YOUR POST WITH YOUR TXID

BLOCK NUMBER 420835 WILL BE OUR WINNER. GOOD LUCK Grin

Following in Lincoln6Echo's footsteps, I have decided to do a donation raffle for the organisations listed below. I have copy/pasted the names and BTC addresses of all 8 groups from his thread.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1508538.0

The conditions for entering this raffle are simple. I would like to raise at least $100, which roughly equates to the value of the prizes on offer. So, for a spot in this I am asking for a minimum donation of $7 in BTC to any of the groups below. If you donate $20, you may choose 2 slots. If you can donate more, please do, but you cannot have more than 2 slots in this raffle. Post your transaction ID and you have a spot. After all 16 spots are filled I will choose a block number.

I have personally donated a Loaded 0.1BTC Buyer Funded Lealana 1/4oz Silver Coin #699 with Presentation Case to be awarded to First Place Grin

Coin address:http://blockr.io/address/info/1BF996QgJyWWpp3YrpE61a1Knagy7WPD3J

I funded this coin myself nearly 2 years ago Cheesy

miffman has kindly offered a Second Place Prize, which consists of the following items: 2 microsoul 2013 blanks, 3 bitcoin pennies, some stickers and an aluminium coin (not casascius).

and as the above aluminium coin is not a Casascius, defcon23 has kindly offered to donate 2 x aluminium Casascius to the 2nd Prize  Grin

Both winners will have their items posted to them free anywhere in the world.

This raffle will have the usual 16 spots (0-9 and a-f) and the winner will be picked based on the hash of a block to be decided once all slots have been filled. Second place will be decided by the following block. Please note you cannot win both prizes.

2318  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [WTS] 1 BTC Casascius 2011 Error Coin cgs88 (MS65-MS66) on: July 14, 2016, 10:38:33 AM
Well this is worth a lot of money to me & i can't be arsed to get it graded by ANACS

I have sold a few cgs graded coins on here in the past & everyone was v happy when they received them.

That is a beautiful coin man! MS66 in my view, which matches up with the equivalent between the two companies. Ah, was just wondering Smiley
Good luck with your sale, sure you'll have a interested party or two when the majority get out of bed  Grin

Edit: that cgs scan is stunning.
2319  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [WTS] 1 BTC Casascius 2011 Error Coin cgs88 (MS65-MS66) on: July 14, 2016, 10:13:31 AM
I have a lovely cas error coin for sale in perfect condition. Received back from grading today.

Looking for ~snip~

Details & pics to follow ;-)

Grade explained:
https://web.archive.org/web/20160624004717/http://www.coingradingservices.co.uk/?page=about_cgs_grading

Question for you - why CGS? Apart from the inconvenience of having to send your coin to the US.
ANACS is the usual "standard" here. Don't see CGS very often. Still, bring it out, sure someone will be interested Smiley
2320  Economy / Collectibles / Re: How does a mint make raised numbers? on: July 14, 2016, 09:25:28 AM
Oops, didn't realise that my coin did in fact have engraved numbers. My mistake then. But just to clarify, if there were a coin out there which were numbered and the numbers were raised, they would have to be made with different moulds for each?

It would very well seem so. I cannot think of another legit way numbers could be raised on a coin, apart from having a completely new mould made for each coin - which would be ridiculously cost prohibitive.

Edit: I personally don't recall ever seeing a coin with different raised characters on the same series of coins - if that makes any precoffee sense.
