2481  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [PRE-ANN]Crypto Imperator Pure Gold Bitcoin Coin on: July 07, 2016, 03:59:42 PM
I might be interested, depending on the price. Any idea how much premium the coin will have?

$678 (0.5 oz spotprice) + 1 BTC + Huh

Dogecoin was 1350$ each + funding.

Bear in mind that making moulds for minting only 10 coins its not cheap.

When are you planning on getting these made?
This is definitely a significant purchase, we're looking at ~$1300 plus funding amount?  Shocked
2482  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [PRE-ANN]Crypto Imperator Gold Bitcoin on: July 07, 2016, 03:24:58 PM
After minting a gold coin for Doge, info here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1539742.0

Looks like its time for a new, ultra exclusive gold coin. And we need some feedback from the community to give the finishing touches to it.

For now the specs are:

- .999 Fine gold
- 1 BTC denomination
- New hologram! (Surprise Tongue)
- Only 10 coins.
- Numbered

We have yet to decide if it will be 1 troy oz, or 1/2 troy oz as the doge version. What do you think?

Also, the doge version depicted the coin's logo in rather comical but rich way, which is your opinion on doing the same with BTC?

Any feedback, ideas... will be appreciated and taken into account. Also, if you would like to purchase one don't hesitate to say so. But no preorders yet!

With gold price rising quite significantly lately, I'd suggest 0.5oz, as this is going to be a costly coin on top of the Funded amount.

As for the design, I'll leave that to the professionals Grin

Registering my interest.

Edit: ah, just 10 coins. I think if the design is right, they'll sell irrelevant, people want exclusivity Smiley

buyers feel like they've paid too much for what they've received. I'd like to own one, but the price seems excessive.

Thats inaccurate sentiment, I would like to state that I've been very welcoming of the reviews from influential people and that this site's community is not reflective of the aggregate market. There was one (or two?) mixed reviews on this site primarily focused on a price:content ratio than any disdain for the project itself, and the email inbox contains very positive feedback. I'd love to have even greater production value in a future project, every outcome I can imagine increases the scarcity of this book which is good for the buyers and supporters! Trying to be as forthcoming here, hope that helps!

~snip~

Don't get me wrong, there is absolutely no disdain for your project itself, you've tread into an area not many other people would be prepared to, with that alone you've provided some new content to the crypto-scene which most are grateful for, so thank you.
I'd agree that the price:content ratio is subjective; some will find this item costly for what it is, others are prepared to pay $150 for your book no problem.

Thanks for the transparency, and I can certainly appreciate that BtcTalk is only a percentage of your target market.

To whom it may concern,

I've been PM'ing Harvin for a couple days now. He doesn't seem to want to trust "a random forum member" from the trusted list of reputable escrow providers.

When asked if he would use OgNasty, I got this response: "is this a guy on this site I have never used an escrow before and really dont [sic] feel comfortable using a random forum member
I would need some sort of payment before I ship my phone even if its 25% then we use some escrow service I just need to know you have the money and I will recieve [sic] it"

He has since stopped replying.

Thanks for the heads up.

No Escrow = No Deal, Harvin.

OgNasty is a respected forum user and escrow, if you truly have this phone available for sale for BTC then I suggest using him, or someone else who is a recognised escrow.

Had a feeling this seemed too good to be true. And we all know what inevitably happens in the end.

Hey,

I am logged into my account Coinbase to buy Bitcoins.

I get the following message:

Sorry! Buy & Sell not available in Germany

We are not able to Provide exchanging bitcoin in your region yet. Consider Contacting your local government. Learn More>

It seems to be also affected Luxembourg alongside Germany.
The rest of Europe (32) are not affected.

Since Localbitcoin is banned in Germany, seems probably because the German "local government" there which prohibit.

Does anyone have any info, is on what legal basis prohibited here?

Very easy fix: VPN

Will this still work if OP is trying to use a German bank card?

what's the price of the book anyway ?Smiley

$150. Currently BTC0.23 on his website.

That's high for the book with just a story Undecided

Agreed. I can appreciate the cost involved in manufacturing these, photoshoot, model etc - but buyers feel like they've paid too much for what they've received. I'd like to own one, but the price seems excessive.

OP, you are spamming this thread. If you want to do a daily bump, go ahead, but delete your other bumps as it looks untidy. Also, using 2 different forum accounts to post in this thread will not help you sell these.

Nothing. I've enjoyed purchasing all of the drugs, assassinations and Cheeze Pizza that I have with Bitcoin. Whether the victims feel the same way is not my problem.

Wait. won't "rng.random(1, 5000)" generate a new number on each and every request? If so you could just keep making calls to the site until you have a result you like and show us that. Also, did you sell all 5000 books? If not, what happens if the winner is a book that hasn't been sold yet?
yeah Mitchełł, good catch ! that's indeed THE question... Wink

Well this looks like it could get complicated  Undecided
2498  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [RAFFLE] Chasing Casascius Gold Plated Bar, Provably Fair using Block Hash on: July 07, 2016, 09:40:02 AM
What is the utility of the Counterparty token? Just to have a token? Or will it be usable for something in the future?

Think it's for transferring ownership of the book if sold on.

Neat! How does each book have a unique identifier or did I read that wrong?

Each book owner is entitled to an associated Counterparty token

everyone gets a counterparty token sent to an address they control and if they sell the book on the after market, make sure the new buyers gets the token too

2500  Economy / Goods / Re: Lifetime's supply of free range eggs. – FOR ONLY 10 MILLION SATOSHI. on: July 07, 2016, 09:33:26 AM
Apart from this 1 sucessful trade, I haven't had much interest in the eggs. The point of the lifetime supply (150 eggs in 25 cartons of 6 supplied each month for a ONE OFF FEE of 0.1BTC) is for you to share them with your friends and family or maybe even at work. Perhaps they would like their own lifetime supply. Either way THIS is the only trade where I've actually traded eggs for BTC.

Please answer this: How is this economically feasible for you? And to not have any misunderstanding: I pay you 0.1 BTC ONE TIME, and you ship 150 eggs PER month, each month, for a very very long time?

If your response is positive, I would like to order 5 times the life time supply. Because I don't live in the UK, I would like it to be shipped to a refugee center (tbd which one, not sure which one is struggling with food). 750 eggs per month is good for 1 egg a day for 25 refugees, I guess that helps out a bit. I am not totally gullible though, so I would ask the refugee center if they receive them every month to check if our agreement is still fulfilled.

It isn't economically feasible at all if I was to ship eggs and not expect anything but a one off fee. These 25 cartons of 6 eggs are a way of free advertising for me because I'd like to think your first thought would be let me share some of these because I can't possibly eat them all. This promotion is running for only a short while where as it has long term benefits so any losses made would be worth it over the long run especially where there is BTC involved. As to your order for the refugee centre, I can't include them in this lifetime supply although I would love to. This is a business promotion after all. But I am willing to send the same amount for 0.08BTC but that would be the cost of every order.

Ah that makes some more sense. A lifetime is a long time though. I won't take the 0.08 deal per order, it's still a neat deal, but won't help as much as I would like it to.

Thanks for your response Creation, at least you're honest! Smiley

Ah well Ghris, we tried!
