I own a quite big company and I'm looking to sell person to person. What company? It doesn't matter if you don't tell us which company and are able to verify that you're indeed the owner of it. No1 with bad intentions prioritizes live sales.
That's not true at all. Have you ever heard of scamming? How about Robbery? Looking forward to the pictures - let me know if you decide to sell the GPUs on the forum, using an escrow.

I am interested in purchasing a 3070, but if we're being honest I don't believe you have them.
I don't mean for this to be an insult or a question of your character, but when someone steps on the scene and claims to have 100+ new graphics cards for sale (and is tentative about escrow) it doesn't sound plausible. We ask everyone, even veteran members, for proof/verification and escrow.
How much are you asking for a 3070? If you're willing to use an escrow from this forum, then I'd definitely snag one or two at a reasonable price. Awaiting pictures, with a timestamp and your forum username.

If you have a problem with a particular project, or individual then you should file a Scam Accusation here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=83.0You are discussing individuals actions on the forum, not the forum itself; I don't think this thread belongs on this board. There is a thread here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=703657.0 that gives guidelines for what each board is for so that you aren't posting things in the wrong place. You'll get the most constructive responses if you post your questions and concerns in the proper area; saves the mods some work, too.

I support the idea to add the Welcome message in the News Rotation.
I like the idea
I think it's a good idea.
I think it's a good idea
It's nice to know that I'm not the only one that thinks this would be a decent idea. An alternative could be to have a "Warnings:" Rotation, floating to the right of the "News:" Rotation. The Bitcointalk Community Award results should be removed as it was done last week
It might even be a good idea if the News Rotation is decided by a monthly poll or something like that. There's plenty of staff that could do this
The community could have more involvement, it would remove most of the leg-work and hopefully some staff member could maintain the list once a month. suchmoon and BPIP team have good initiatives and tools
Those are some nice features, but I do my best to avoid using anything that strays from the default functionality of the forum. It makes it easier for me to understand how the forum works for everyone if mine works the same as "everyone's".

I don't know if this has already been discussed or even if it's a good idea, so I just wanted to make that clear from the start. After this thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5303500.0 was resolved - I had an idea about getting more new and inexperienced users to read the stickies. The suggestion is to add threads like this: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=133931.0 , https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=990345.0 to the "News Rotation", or whatever it is called; the spot above the navigation bar that says "Latest Bitcoin Core release" and "Bitcoin Community Awards". This gives newcomers more of a chance to see these important threads before they jump into anything headfirst, without being overly obstructive.

Eth sentiment graph Eth graph Quoting to show your graphs, which are crucial to illustrating the point you're trying to make (and the question(s) I have). So, both graphs are of the same time-frame and line up during this particular slice of time? That's definitely interesting at first glance, but a good test would be running it back in time as far as you can to see if the pattern remains consistent. I'd be interested to see how closely they correlate at varying levels of analysis and if there's any anomalies that might pop up when looking at a bigger data-sample. If so, then what you're suggesting might turn into a solid piece of the equation for when to get in and get out.

This website: https://bitcoinfees.earn.com/ is a tool that I used to use quite often when determining what fee I would need to send for the transaction to confirm in an appropriate amount of time. I suggest consolidating your inputs, and transferring your funds around during the slow times on the network with extraordinarily low fees. If possible, just wait it out until there isn't network congestion, otherwise most small transactions aren't worth sending. The answer is "No", though, in order to move your BTC during network congestion you will need to pay the same fees as everyone else.

It sounds like the whales are doing what the rest of us should be doing, then - buying as much BTC as possible has always been the plan, even if some of us fell off the train multiple times.
Personally I'm not too worried about profit-booking in the final days of the year, because IIRC that normally happens prior to Christmas. Besides, a simple HODL for a while and you'd be past any kind of "correction" or profit-booking.

Just to clarify, you are accepting Paypal for your Bitcoin, correct? I'm just unclear on whether you are interested in only exchanging one way or the other.
Not many people are interested in accepting Paypal funds from someone without any reputation, and tons of people won't take Paypal even if it were free.
This post is going to raise more red-flags than it is going to open opportunities.

This might be extraordinarily naïve of me, but but I tend to get a lot of my cryptocurrency related information from this forum. You guys have been ahead of the curve on a lot of things, and if you're able to vet the information you're taking in around here then it's an amazing resource for what's going on in the cryptocurrency world.
Anything there is to do or know crypto-wise can be accomplished with the information around here, so that's got to count for something.

I felt like I had to put up a warning since that scammer is apparently still active and still trying to impersonate me.
The way I see it, there is nothing wrong with trying to put more warnings out there to educate members who might have been victims. If this thread stops even one person from being impersonator scammed, then it's done the job well. Even if it doesn't thwart one of the victims of your impersonator, it might cast enough doubt in someone's mind down the line to prevent this kind of thing. I don't know if a "Watch out for impersonators" sticky in Currency Exchange would be appropriate until it becomes a bigger problem, but by then there would probably be better remedies. There aren't many prominent threads that directly address this issue, the closest would be something like this: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=133931.0 , which isn't in Currency Exchange and is easily glossed over.

The imposter is likely very encouraged by their successful scam on that other member. As the old saying goes "Don't feed the strays."
I'm not sure how much good this thread will do, as anyone likely to fall victim to this type of scam won't be reading this thread before it happens.
I can understand how you'd feel a sense of responsibility to try and let everyone know, but anyone that has experience trading around here should know the protocol.

Im feeding Members here with free info
There's something about you labeling the information as "free" that really rubs me the wrong way. It's as if you're self-proclaiming that the information is valuable and you're doing us all a favor. Nobody is obligated to feel the same way as you, or see your posts with the same perspective as you. I get only bad feedback like im the scammer lol
No, you got negative feedback like you asked for a no collateral loan and like you wanted to start a questionable business without much of a plan. Just read the rules, try again - your feedback isn't written in stone; it's as easy as admitting you didn't know the rules and honestly doing better in the future. Now I undestood why the humans must suffer!!
That's a bit high and mighty, if you ask me; humans must suffer, because we don't appreciate your "free information" and don't act the way you want us to act? People have no respect and no kindness. Even this covid have not teach you anything... How to be better person.
People are full of respect and kindness. You're just not entitled to receive that from them. You walk around the forum like you own the place, without reading the rules, making demands of other users and pretending like you have prophetic knowledge. Please don't preach about how to be a better person, when you're no better than the rest of us. All Right there is a lot dangers coming and i know and will not give free warnings!! Many traders will get slaughtered!!
Even if this is true, do you think standing on the corner and screaming about the end-times like a homeless person is the way to spread your message in a way that it's received? For this kind of attidude.... Be nice and respectful That's a really fun typo, "attidude" - genuinely made me chuckle. Again though, if you continue to tell people how to act and respond to you, then you're bound to get a negative reaction for the duration of your stay. Well you can say what you want but if you lose trade you lose money So let them lose money then, people are free to make their own decisions.

I know the answer may sound silly or too simple . . .
It's actually a solid answer, because it's sort of a "teach a man to fish" situation. Sometimes the simpler things evade me. I don't know why I hadn't thought to do this. I hadn't heard of any of those events. I'll probably stumble across them when I start doing as LeGaulois has suggested, though. This gives me a few freebies, and I appreciate that. Have any of us said it's over here and gone to leave the forum for good?
Many of us have.

~ If you are suggesting that theymos et al. start really pushing for SEO and turn the forum into bitcoin manipulation tool rather than a discussion board, then I just simply disagree.
I'm suggesting to make more people know about bitcoin and the forum. Well, there's nothing wrong with that, and I appreciate you dumbing it down for me. I get caught up in the details and sometimes draw conclusions that wrongfully attribute motive. The problem is that there is only going to be a certain type of person that is drawn to use bitcoin, and even fewer people amongst those that would be interested in using the forum. It's an idea I can support, but it's not for everyone. HODL and Inform are probably the best ways to increase demand for bitcoin - there's been more of both than ever, and it's having the desired affect if you ask me.

Good morning, or whatever pertains to you at the time of reading this.
I have followed Bitcoin for years, almost since the very beginning and recently I have become detached from it; I do not like this.
My question to the community is this - "What do you suggest someone who was informed about Bitcoin, but has lived under a rock for 6-months learns or reads about Bitcoin to catch up?"
I'm looking for something good to read, watch, contemplate or consider and it doesn't necessarily need to be a recent development if it's something relatively unknown.
Although this is more for a personal enrichment, I do think it would be helpful for newcomers as well as those of us that are "rusty".

I don't know if I'm missing something, or if my brain just doesn't understand complex concepts.
The answer to the question posed in the title of the post, "Yes".
There are certainly members with enough sway to push the market around. Satoshi was/is a forum user. Forum users have been the people since the beginning to be the movers, shakers, miners and everything in-between.
If you are suggesting that theymos et al. start really pushing for SEO and turn the forum into bitcoin manipulation tool rather than a discussion board, then I just simply disagree.

I don't want to be banned by others shenanigans ( people using the same vpn company).
This will not happen. I know you've already received a handful of replies, but I just wanted to pile on. Our staff here are well-versed in the dark-arts of VPNs, and dynamic IPs. How likely is that if I am straight (not doing anything wrong)? Recourse and will anyone be prepared to vouch for me (member since 2016) just in case? Its a great board. Or am I over worrying?
You are definitely overly-concerned, but this isn't necessarily your own fault. It's easy to think that you might accidentally fall onto the wrong side of things. The only thing that can really vouch for you, though, if any accusations are thrown your way would be your actions and your staked address. Sometimes accounts are charged a small "evil" fee, in BTC, if they are created on an IP that has been used for nonsense in the past. In a way, this sucks for users when they end up paying for the sins of others, but if I remember right the staff will lift these manually if you request them to.

Is there anytime Bitcoin can be deposited and also be withdraw
There are very few posts around here that actually make me smile, but you've accomplished exactly that! That question either needs to be rephrased, clarified or scrapped entirely. Bitcoin is not on an ACH schedule, and transactions are not manually processed. Bitcoin is a constantly moving system, that isn't restricted to business hours. Unless your coins are on an exchange, you have complete control over where they go and when. If you're asking about a particular exchange, then you'd have to check with how they do things when it comes to your coin.
