1  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Gary Gensler's SEC sues Crypto Influncers and posts on his Twitter as propaganda on: Today at 10:16:02 AM
It's a step in the right direction for social media influencers being held accountable for shilling scams. The next part I will share is opinion, however it could be considered that these influencers and celebrities have been shilling scam products for decades, but because these are cryptocurrencies which the SEC considers securities, that is why the penalties and consequences apply.
Those who are social media influencers should surely be responsible in how they portrait any cryptocurrency they are promoting.

Just look what happened recently with the one known to be in a relationship with the Kardashian's what feels like a whole other lifetime ago:

Caitlyn Jenner falls victim to cryptocurrency exit scam

Seems that someone used them to launch a memecoin in their name without their consent on the Solana network:

2  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Im looking for passive ways to earn yield daily weekly ? on: Today at 10:03:46 AM
Daily /weekly ?
What Are the risks and rewards what about NEXO it's safe enough to stake or earn yields there ?
any good places for usdt and usdc to earn what are the roi daily weekly ?
In otherwords Im looking ways to put my money on work.

NEXO has been here for a long time, I used them for a year and I didn't have a problem. I can't guarantee you anything but from my experience they are safe.
BetFury offers a very high ROI for USDT stacking but I can't guarantee you anything, better check the website and other details -
Binance offers you up to 7.37% APY on USDT with flexible investment terms.

If you are looking for other ways to put your money on work, you can check Binance's Earn section and Launchpad & Launchpool Section. also offers 4% APY on Bitcoin deposits but right now they have many unanswered issues, so I don't recommend them at the moment.
Had I known about these issues that FBN has been having, I wouldn't have joined the site since end of December last year.
The site has been around for over a decade and they start to show signs of crumbling now, all the sudden?!
What a f**king luck I have with investment site, I don't know now.
Had deposited just over 0.0363btc to test out the site and now after the news circulating on their own ANN thread, I will consider those funds and the amount of 250k purchased of their own FUN tokens lost at this point in time.
3  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Elon musk is for crypto or just for attention to boost Tesla, SpaceX & xAI? on: Today at 09:47:04 AM
Funny how you say all this with a Elon Coin as your banner.
So can your views be bias just for the sake of holding a signature to a coin named after the topic we are discussing?
Because to me that is not being truthful to ones self if you are getting blinded by your campaign on the forums.
I was confused with your statement at first until I saw Elon banner at the top of your comment, I guess that must have been a command from above from the Eloncoin or just participant gas lighting just to stay in their spot. But I don't know the motive behind this Elon stuff, don't know how long they want to use another man influence who doesn't give a damn about a project, altcoins has lost its value even more.
Anyways, there was one thing you said which can be valid. The rich are greedy.
Just look at Warren Buffett for instance.
He has as much money as a man can know what to do with in ones life yet he wants and makes more.
It is a power thing obviously. He can't seem to get enough of it.
To him money is power but for Elon I believe it is the number of companies he owns and relaying he is right to the world. So Twitter was the ultimate prize to him because now he has a platform to do and say whatever he wishes to without anybody else to tell him otherwise.
Just look at what the SEC tried to do to him with their investigations on X.
Of course, nothing will come of it.
Elon is a business man that always stood on business, watching his pattern this year he doesn't seem to be interested in crypto that much, he is more focus on AI than crypto this season and I guess there is more he is seeing than what we are not seeing, opportunist and greedy man!

Elon made everyone to believe in Bitcoin after his stock did 6x and all of a sudden he became a pro Bitcoin and then move to Doge, what a typical man with influence will never do. If the SEC doesn't sue him with all this, then I think man is bigger than America. I have seen people protect him saying all kind of things that he never advice anyone to buy Doge after he bought at the bottom, an ordinary man with influence wouldn't try this and go free.
True and had it not been for this article of ARK invest announcing a stake of $60mln into his startup AI company, I wouldn't have known about it at all.
"xAI is the Musk's latest venture and was launched in March 2023 in a bid against major players in the AI space like OpenAI, Google and Microsoft. "

The Vlog episode is down at the time of writing. But I'm looking forward to seeing the main fight and I hope my predictions come true. I'm looking forward to seeing the category move and new fighters arrive, I'm getting tired of the locked fights.
Not sure why it would have been down for you maybe you had a slow connection in your region but youtube seems to always be up for me. It requires high bandwidth so they open it up especially when their users need it for streaming their 4k UHD content.

Here is the second Embedded in their vlog series for this UFC 302 main event:

5  Economy / Gambling / Re:$200 FreeBTC⭐Win Lambo🔥0.2BTC DailyJackpot🏆$32,500 Wager Contest on: May 28, 2024, 01:07:14 PM
The first big sign of this was the Lambo giveaway which took weeks and weeks to settle and now this Lottery, which is the one thing you know happens on time, is also delayed.
As far as I know, the winner of Lambo should claim their prize within 180 days. Maybe the winner claimed it late, I don't know. If it has to do nothing with the winner and they had to announce it early, then like you say, this is really a sign of bad but at the same time, as I remember, the Lambo winner didn't register on this website and didn't start complaining about anything or did I miss something?

And it does not seem theymos cares if this project fails either since they allow it to be advertised here for the ill-informed users of his forum to be duped into still investing as it seems to be turning into a scam project.
You said these words earlier. What do you mean? Why should theymos care about if this project fails or not? Does he own some part of the website? I think that in this moment, in the best case, someone has to create a scam accusation thread and ask DT members to tag Freebitco's account.
Yes and I tagged him in that but nothing was said nor done.
So he obviously does not care since they did have an advertising banner at the top of each refresh of the forums pages several months ago.
So advertising of a website that is acting in this fashion is not reason enough to have them taken off for good?
Theymos did receive money from them for proceeding to facilitate any sort of promotion for their site.
6  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: F1 Formula Sports Racing - promotions & discussion thread on: May 28, 2024, 01:03:05 PM
Leclerc wins this race in his home country for the first time. What was even more of a surprise hearing he had not received a podium at Monaco in his career either.
Was a shock to hear that from the announcer after he won. Didn't he make it to second or third in the previous season? That might have been the other Ferrari driver from what I recall from the watching the celebrations from last year.

Max Verstappen had his worst race since 2018 according once again from the race announcers.
So do your own research is always advised. Wink

This weekend it is grand prix less in F1 and continue on June 7th at the beautiful Circuit Gilles Villeneuve track.

7  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2023-2024 betting on: May 28, 2024, 09:40:00 AM
Whether Haliburton plays or not, the Indiana Pacers have the offensive firepower to compete, they can win.
Now I'm very positive with my +8 on Pacers tomorrow.
Good luck, mate, but honestly, I think this is a different scenario as I feel the Pacers will not be as hungry in the last 3 games. They know they have a very slim chance of coming back. I hope it will not affect their mentality, and they would just let the Celtics beat them. I don't know, but honestly, I'm not really confident betting on either team tomorrow. It's just that it could be the last game, and I'm not sure if it will be the home team or the road team.

I guess I would just take the over 222.50 since they are always playing a high-scoring game.
They tricked us all because in the final 3 & 1/2 minutes they were shooting bricks while all game they were looking to cover the over 220.5 pts easily.
That corner 3 by Jrue Holiday sealed the win for the Celtics even with over a minute left Pacers just knew they weren't going to win because with the last shot by Boston they had a foul to give and didn't take it.

Good luck with your first half bet, if both teams can get scoring early in the 2nd Quarter, then you should hit the over with ease.
Congrats on your quick first-quarter win on the Celtics.

Unfortunately, my first half over fell short by a point, they got it going early in the second quarter and I thought it would hit with how the live totals hovered around 120+ points. If only the team totals were available I should've taken those instead of the total for both teams.
Those over bets that fall short by a single point are the worse.
Had the cover of +7.5 Indiana which was alot but was also blinded, just like everybody else here, thinking they would score above the 222.5 pts needed with my combination bet @6.60x

Well, they didn't got nerfed.

They still have proved themselves to be the kings this time.
The patch only gave them more options due to the new meta heroes becoming another problem. Also, they didn't allow Storm Spirit to end up in Gaimin Gladiator's hands throughout the series after that previous one-sided win from the upper final.

With DreamLeague finishing earlier today, we still have the IEM Dallas scheduled next. Looking at the matchup for Group A we could get a Vitality vs Mouz rematch while for Group B Team Spirit vs Navi could be an interesting matchup for the next round if Navi doesn't disappoint.

Looking forward to the next Intel Extreme Masters tournament but Dallas has been hit by storms during the past week.
Just hope this doesn't affect this event in any sort of way. It probably isn't in the same area but some other sporting events have been postponed due to the human death toll in the entire state.

Dang I havent been following cs2 for a while and aside from Team Vitality and MOUZ, idk what else to pick for BSFL question, probably FAZE huh for B 1st place. NAVI seems like a good pick for B 1st place as well, dang Im so confused with this bracket

Anyway I just noticed that we have tier2 dota2 tournament as well and Nigma is playing in it. Well I know that most teams are probably trying crazy heropool to make out the best practice out of this new patch but I just cant believe it that Nigma has won two games already lol
Same here. Just got back on a well deserved respite from spending time in CR over the memorial day weekend.
So just getting back into the mix of it all.
But from what I remember FaZe clan had been struggling in the last past tournaments and are not in their best form anymore. From what I recall Team Liquid had been looking good as of late.
9  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: May 28, 2024, 09:21:38 AM
Fantastic first round at the French Open tomorrow
Zverev vs Nadal might be expected to be the best first match at this GS, but I don't see Nadal being able to play up to 5 sets, and also Zverev who is in his best form after winning the Italian Masters looks difficult for Nadal to beat in 3 straight sets, but we can still expect world class play in this match and my prediction is that Zverev wins 3-0 or 3-1.

Djokovic lost to Thomas Machac at the Geneva Open, he still hasn't shown his best performance but his competitors at the French Open still have to be wary of him possibly bouncing back in this GS, especially since he hasn't won a single title and there are 2000 points he has to defend to remain number one in the world.

Sinner and Alcaraz are certain to play so the competition will be very tight to become the French Open champion this time.
It took only 3 sets and Nadal got blanked going 3-0 to the younger Zverev and this showed in the way he was on the court.
He didn't have that same spark you get from watch a Rafa match and I think that was his last swan song of his career.
Just from the way he was talking during the post match interview about how is will be 38 year old the next time he comes to this court at Roland Garros.
Quite an emotional match for him and there were many fans watching him thinking this could be his last match at this tournament in Paris.

Like clockwork, every 7 days the lottery list gets published by the twitter account, except this past Sunday they did not publish it for the first time in as long as I can remember. They’ve had this provably fair system since 2018 where the ticket list gets automatically posted on twitter. Something is clearly going wrong and the community which has trusted them with their BTC deserve some answers.

They could easily make a statement saying they are upgrading their servers or something and that’s why they have problems with emails and the lottery. By staying silent it only creates speculation that they might be in the process of exit scamming.

Hate to say it and add to the growing list of posts here but the site which has been known for everything about reliability is now starting to look like it is losing the handle for reliability/stability.

The first big sign of this was the Lambo giveaway which took weeks and weeks to settle and now this Lottery, which is the one thing you know happens on time, is also delayed.

Something is not right and they need to be upfront about it, or risk losing their fanbase.

The good news is do it now and everything is fine. Look at Bitvest, how they recovered once they got upfront and started saying something.
Doesn't seem the project's administrator cares about it anymore and it is all automated.
If it breaks then they will let the site die off slowly too.

Had put in around 30mbtc into it for the FUN tokens but that has depreciated to half it's value due to the coin dropping to the lowest in it's entire lifecycle even before when it was known as the FUN FAIR token.

And it does not seem theymos cares if this project fails either since they allow it to be advertised here for the ill-informed users of his forum to be duped into still investing as it seems to be turning into a scam project.

Truth is slaman29, they do need a quick resolution inorder to salvage whatever reputation they have left here of their userbase.

Sorry but I got to disagree with you because it was reviewed, not only 1 ref made a decision, it was a unanimous one and I think they know their job better, unless we think it was rigged.
You see from the top view camera angle and the ball clearly flips out from scope of the cylinder they usually make the judgement of the call. Believe they line it up in a cone formation to make the call.

Look at the screen below:

So call it what you will. But watching it live like I did, you can see where the ball's trajectory was going and where he grabbed the ball to dunk it for the score.

Didn't know he was recovering from an injury of when he was signing autographs two days before his loss to Tabilo in Rome, a metal bottle from a fan's backpack fell on his head. Lips sealed

Nice cake there Novak the old man turned 37 and still played on his birthday!
16  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2023-2024 betting on: May 23, 2024, 10:29:06 AM
I went with the unpopular opinion and back the Dallas Mavericks when they had a 1-point lead towards the end of 3rd quarter, My sole reason for that was because of how Kyrie has been playing all night, and I believe if the Timberwolves have attempted way more 3 point and have knocked down significant number of it but still can get a decent separation, that could mean trouble is lurking around for the Minnesota Timberwolves.
Congrats on your live Mavs bet, i'm surprised that the odds were a bit high at the time.

The Timberwolves were close to building their lead by at least double digits before the second quarter ended, but the Mavs kept it together in the last few possessions. Then that back and forth during the fourth quarter with 3 minutes left made it feel like it could've gone either way, but the Mavs quickly brought it back with the double three-pointer while the Timberwolves couldn't get a bucket until the final minute.
The loss of the TWolves was due to a bad call by the refs towards that Kat dunk.
They say the shot from the previous attempt was within the cylinder of the basket. So Towns dunk did not count which would of tied it with just over a minute and a half left in the game.
That was when Luka was on that 9-0 point run and counting that basket from Kat Towns would of switch that momentum the Mavs had to win the game.

Hard loss by Minnesota so hopefully they can comeback in tonight's game along with the Pacers who are at Boston.

Still a long ways off until this event is upon us as the other sports leagues are wrapping up for the summer break. So still have those to keep us bettors busy enough and it is a well needed rest for the fighters on memorial day long weekend where the UFC is headquartered in Las Vegas.

McGregor announced during one of the many podcasts he was on the other day, that he has something big in store for the fans soon.
Another world tour after his fight with Chandler perhaps?

Now they're talking about dogshitcoin ETFs.
What's next? NFT ETFs?
NFT ETF Futures  Cheesy
WOW! AMAZING! Can I lose all of my money with this? -every tardcoiner ever
You can and will in these murky waters called the cryptoworld or as many have seen today the panderverse of what Biden and his handlers have done a 180 of their views on cryptocurrency towards the political landscape to gain those 85 million Americans who hold crypto (Think Novogratz math is wrong. There are more people who own dogs with an average of 3 people per household  Embarrassed) so to gain the power of cryptoholders in their favor.

Kucoin will be listing one called gayelon as it was announced earlier today.
So make any sort of seriousness from that as you will but those same who will buy that one are the same ones hoping for a SH*TCOIN ETF to be approved.

Here is a rather interesting post on X which just happened come up on my landing page earlier, before the passing of the FIT21 bill just several hours ago:

"it's time for bitcoin to start competing (aka how to cope with the ethereum ETF, and my predictions for bitcoin)
yesterday was the most important day in bitcoin's recent history. yes, i actually believe that. way more important than bitcoin's own ETF approval. and way more important than predetermined halving dates.

yesterday the cultist dogma of saylor and his low iq laser-eye friends died.

people who only exist on twitter may not know this, but some of the largest bitcoin holders in the west, who i had the extreme displeasure of interacting with offline in the last year, ACTUALLY BELIEVED the conspiracy theory that ETH is an unregistered security and would never have a spot ETF.

(saylor even proudly said that on-stage and on-camera just a few short weeks ago at his own conference)

they ACTUALLY BELIEVED that bitcoin's victory is preordained, that it will never have any competition, that there is no second best.

they ACTUALLY BELIEVED that any change or upgrade is haram because bitcoin is perfect as is and will never have any other competitors.

they ACTUALLY BELIEVED that wall street only likes pet rocks with no vision and no roadmap.

all of that died yesterday, as rumors came out that an ethereum ETF is likely to be approved as soon as tomorrow.

let me be very clear. for the bitcoin maxi regime, this is a devastating blow. i am not referring to the broke laser-eyes on twitter. i mean the very leadership of the cult. those are people who have a lot of vested interest in preventing what just happened. and they lost.

they're licking their wounds today, but the damage is done. they're not coming back from this. their fandom will abandon them. all of their plans were foiled one fair morning and nothing will ever be the same.

this leaves bitcoin at somewhat of a pickle.

the strategy so far has been to count on regulators to stifle competition, and that strategy has now fully failed.

most bitcoin holders are not bitcoin maxis, but they do have to live with the failures of the maxi regime. the lack of vision is going to become a problem now that bitcoin has to compete on equal grounds against the rest of the crypto assets.

a network that doesn't will suffer a lot of outflows. and as it currently stands, bitcoin barely flexed its innovation muscles at all in years. if it wasn't for the orange tsunami started by ordinals last year, i'd say we would've been in dire straits right now.

thankfully casey rodarmor did offer bitcoiners a glimmer of hope, and there is a small ecosystem starting to innovate around bitcoin in the last 18 months.

here are my predictions for what's going to happen with bitcoin in the next 24 months:

1. we're going to see the vast majority of bitcoin stakeholders rally behind "bitcoin season 2". this will happen faster than people think, probably in a matter of weeks.

once the ethereum etfs become a done deal, bitcoiners will be feeling the heat. they will not turn to podcasters again. they will turn to builders. builders bring about progress and new narratives, and that's what every bitcoin holder is going to want to see to stop the outflows from bitcoin etfs to ethereum etfs.

expect to see bitcoin stakeholders such as mining pools, bitcoin VCs, exchanges, etf issuers etc toss the old laser-eye narratives and fully support bitcoin season 2.

2. ordinals going mainstream: i expect a big push from most bitcoin stakeholders, including those who previously opposed them, to make ordinals way more popular. as the digital version of luxury goods, bitcoiners will see ordinals as a trojan horse similar to ethereum NFTs in 2021, and many public-facing narratives will shift towards the collectible use case, at various price points.

after a period of early adoption, NFTs eventually helped onboard a generation of new ethereum users in the previous cycle, and I expect bitcoin whales will give in soon and attempt to use this narrative to onboard new bitcoin users as soon as the ethereum ETF goes live. the competition over flows is going to be fierce, and the bitcoin whales would not want to lose.

3. cross-chain BTC: one thing that early ordinals adopters learned last year, is that trading is a lot more satisfying when the price is BTC, as opposed to some shitcoin.

sure, we can trade whatever we want in the casino, but when the final reward of a successful trade is more BTC in your wallet, there's something really special about that.

those who tried it with ordinals swear by it, and as ordinals become more mainstream -- see (2) above -- many more will be exposed to that concept.

meanwhile, chains like solana are vulnerable: there is no real reason for people to denominate their casino winnings in SOL, even if they use solana for infrastructure.

BTC and ETH will increasingly be seen as the most established and desirable assets in crypto for long term holdings, and as such i think an opportunity will open for encouraging the use of BTC the asset as the preferred asset on other chains like Solana, BNB, etc.

basically, a replacement for stablecoins. bitcoin has a real opportunity to capture mindshare in this area, as ethereum is unlikely to focus on it and will instead focus on its own L2s.

i think it's very likely that within 12-18 months, most phantom wallets will be denominated in BTC while operating in solana.

4. turbo-charged bitcoin wallets: this brings us to wallets. one of the things i learned about early bitcoin season 2 adopters is that they really care about layer 1 bitcoin assets.

they like BTC itself and they like ordinals. and maybe runes.

they DO NOT like assets on so-called "bitcoin L2s". if they'll use L2s, they'll do so transparently, without knowing it happened, and only with L1 assets like BTC itself and ordinals. no one wants assets that only exist on "bitcoin L2s".

i think this presents an opportunity to rethink wallet UX, something that ethereum clearly got wrong. bitcoin season 2 wallets will focus on the assets, not on the networks. users will be able to use their BTC or ordinals transparently across networks (be it mainnet, lightning, "L2s", "rollups", solana, etc). this is what the ethereum L2 UX vision was, but never happened. bitcoin has an opportunity to do this right faster than the competition.

5. consensus upgrades. if anyone had doubts before, yesterday's events should have removed them. an ethereum ETF is the most bullish thing imaginable for the OP_CAT upgrade.

stakeholders were already rallying behind it, but now with bitcoiners under the gun again, any last holdouts should be removed quickly. OP_CAT is a very simple and non-disruptive upgrade, and thankfully it's already well-researched and well-tested.

i expect activation will be swift to allow builders to start experimenting with CAT-based off chain constructs that will allow bitcoin to compete better, without risking any of its fundamentals.

after this small change proves to have positive impact, i expect we'd start seeing more frequent consensus upgrades to allow bitcoin to continue to innovate into the future."

This being a game 1 it is tough to guess how it will go out the gate.
Remember how everybody was on the Celtics last night yet the Pacers took them to overtime and it wasn't such a walk in the park from what the odds suggested it was going to be for Boston @1.33x pre-game.

So I will be backing the home team in the Timberwolves and possibly the under at 206.5pts combo bet.
But going to bet larger on the ML for Minnesota being 1.54x prematch odds.
Seems like a good confident bet to place since they are doing well and coming off the road so home court advantage will favor them tremendously tonight.
