is the pool down?  I think my miners are still mining, but no website.

Mining works (for me), so it's just the website.

Have a look at this one.
84  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: If a pool is finding most blocks, why we join another pool? on: February 09, 2015, 11:08:27 PM
Having all miners in one pool might cause problems if this pool is down (server problems, DDoS attacks,...).
85  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [XMG] M7M CPU mining discussion thread on: February 09, 2015, 11:04:33 PM
Can someone share hashrates of the fx9590,8370 with wolf0's v2 miner

You probably want to ask in the ANN thread as it gets more exposure than this thread.

87  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [XMG] Coin Magi - CPU mining guide on: February 09, 2015, 08:26:55 PM
can i exchange this coin for btc anywhere?

It's listed on several exchanges (XMG/BTC). Bittrex, Poloniex, C-Cex, Bleutrade, Cryptoine, Comkort and others. Check the ANN thread for more details.

Joe, I was asked on Twitter and I'm not sure what about this block:

Generated but not accepted means orphan blocks (he is solo mining). But why does it have a green tick? My orphan PoS blocks have a blue ? instead of a green tick. Or is there a difference between PoW and PoS?

http://prntscr.com/632oq2

What I can see from the image the green tick is transferred amount, not staked; while all those with question mark are PoS; that's weird, none of them accepted, is wallet the latest version?

Yes, he said he's solo mining and found this block.
You mean he's probably on the wrong fork? Last night, he updated from the 1.1.0.1 to v1.2.1.2

EDIT: The PoS blocks were generated with the old wallet, might be the reason they were not accepted.
EDIT2: Now the PoW block has been accepted. Not sure what happened, probably the new wallet wasn't fully synced. PoS works now, too. All fine.

Hi,

Who knows the formula to calculate the block reward ?

Ty

 Huh

Sorry, I missed your question. Please find the formula and more information in this file (end of first site, beginning of second site)

Some of you are really funny.

No "Sorry", no compensation for the time without payments, no detailed explanation about the fee/tax (what about shares bought in nov/dec,...). And you really accept all that and would blindly pay (let him deduct) any unspecified amount from your funds?

I understand that some of you invested bigger amounts that you want to get back. But would you accept all that if it would have happened with your local bank or investment company? You would sue their ass off! Or is it still the hope that in times where cloud mining only generates losses (due to low BTC price or ponzis) "Chris" will reappear and provide a over-profitable service that will make you tons of money again?

When I would start a scam service, I would be happy to have you as customers/investors  Wink
92  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: cointellect on: February 09, 2015, 03:21:35 PM
From my understanding and experience with the other scams/ponzis, this is the translation:

Quote from: cointellect news
We want to begin this announcement with a formal apology for the recent lack of communication.
We had a lack of ideas how to explain you that we don't want to pay but still need more money from you. Now we finally found one.

Quote from: cointellect news
As you can imagine, Bitcoin’s volatile downtrend has put us in a difficult situation and we have been hard at work resolving payout concerns.
We didn't expect that our ponzi will collapse so soon. But no problem, WE will still make money.

Quote from: cointellect news
To help us remain on track, we have decided to roll out support for the mining of additional cryptocurrencies - namely the ASIC resistant coins. Similar to a multi-pool, this will enable us to target the most profitable coins and maximize revenue for all parties.
With an increased price of our contracts. We will change our system that you are no longer will be able to use your ASICs, only CPU and GPU. This way we can ensure it will take ages you earned enough to buy our expensive contracts without spending FIAT or BTC.

Quote from: cointellect news
Following our next platform update, earnings from existing contract plans will be revamped to more accurately reflect Bitcoin’s current price.
We are working hard to bring scam to a new level. Our new plans will be even more expensive so that will need to invest more money. Our staff ordered some Ferrari's that we need to pay.

Quote from: cointellect news
Furthermore, solo-mined earnings will be restricted for use only with contract purchases.
Go on wasting your energy, you can buy our valueable contracts that make us rich.

Quote from: cointellect news
Despite the inconveniences, we are confident our plan of action moving forward is greatly preferable than those of our competitors.
There are even worse scammers than we are

Quote from: cointellect news
Cryptocurrency mining is an unpredictable business with many risks. We do ask our users to remain aware of these risks and approach the industry with reason.
Nearly every crypto investment is a scam. You could have lost your money somewhere else, so why thank you that you chose us. Soon we will prepare a new idea how to scam you, be patient.

Quote from: cointellect news
We do want to emphasize that our team understands the frustration and inconveniences these recent changes may pose.
We know but we don't care. Shit happens.

Quote from: cointellect news
We thank you for your continued understanding during these difficult times.
You still invested in other scams and ponzis although you knew they were not legit, so please donate more of your money/coins to us. We ensure you to have a great time with girls, drinks and party with your money.
93  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: cointellect on: February 09, 2015, 02:09:36 PM
Come on guys, use your mind:

How can they pay > 1 Euro per day for mining with low hashrates while established multipools struggle at around 20k satoshi per MH/s per day?
I mined a few days with 2 gridseeds at 360 kh/s. Although most of the day (using my own mining software) there were a lot of disconnects, I made around 1.40 Eur/day. Did they find a secret coin with awesome profitability?

No! They wanted you to buy their contacts using FIAT, nothing else. Of course they had to pay some users from time to time in order to encourage people to invest more and more. Nothing else than the other scam services.

I was able to withdraw 5 Euro from my funds in Doge. After this first withdrawal, I got stuck at the anti-bot-verification. Even my credit cards didn't work to verify my account so they required me to buy contracts with FIAT or BTC (I didn't do that. Don't see a reason to pay in order to get my funds).

Payment received, thank you!

Negative trust account can't join our signature camp from now.

Just a suggestion: Everyone can place a negative trust for other members, no matter if legit or not. You probably want to check if the negative trust has a reason or not.

Beside this, excellent campaign, all payments like clockwork and nice payout increases.

What do people think should be the true value of this coin? Like I'm guessing 5k a coin isn't unreasonable at all Smiley What do you people think? Also have their been any updates from the Dev and team?

I think 5k is a fair price  Wink

No you don't. If you would think that, you would be buying now and selling at 5k. Since there are still sell orders below 5k, then I guess current price is true price, 0,7 k.

My sell order is at 10k  Tongue
But yeah, you're right with your statement.

Just a heads up:

You can sell your personal stuff or buy other people's items and pay / get paid in XMG.

Cointopay marketplace

https://cointopay.com/M_MarketOverview.jsp

Select the item you wish to buy (no matter which currency appears), enter your details and select Magi as payment option.
Or simply create your own offer and sell items you want to get rid of.

Cryptopia marketplace

https://www.cryptopia.co.nz/MarketPlace?categoryId=0&currencyId=30&locationId=0&sortBy=Title&searchTerm=&type=All%20Items

Currently no items are offered. Be the first one who places any orders and sell your stuff for XMG.

99  Local / Mining (Deutsch) / Re: Eligius Pool eine gute Wahl? on: February 08, 2015, 06:06:08 PM
