so, any comment from hashie maybe about pointing to pools? or at least about miner mods? Did you already contact them? Usually the faster way to get a reply.

Suggestion of the day:
Please don't forget to regularly backup your wallet.dat Preferably upload them to your dropbox account and/or a USB stick.
In case of a harddisk crash, your coins are lost otherwise!

Just a quick reminer:
I'm selling 25 LTCGear qASIC shares (=2,5 MH/s LTC mining) in total.
10 shares = 111.50 XMG 25 shares = 278.50 XMG
Please send your order via PM. After I received the payment, the shares will be transfered to your LTCGear account.

Cool, well done Magic111!

now that DOGE is being merge mined, your best bet would be to mine a multipool that allows payment in DOGE Exactly! No need to mine Doge directly, just a waste of ressources.

Everyone should make note:
1. Cryptex has closed down -- which was the only exchange that was trading ARI and had functional ANC support (unless you know of any others?) They are letting everyone withdrawal their coins (which is nice)
2. ANC - cannot be deposited or withdrawn from Cryptsy -- and Brittrex has "disabled" this coin (whatever that means) -- does anyone know where to trade ANC? I believe ANC is still in the "Multipool" switch on this pool - so beware. You don't want to waste your hash on a coin you can't trade.
ARI can be traded at https://www.cryptopia.co.nz/Exchange/1142 . But it's a new exchange and doesn't have volume yet. ANC can be traded at https://cex.io If you like em or not is, of course, up to you.

Paycoin is going to be one of the biggest cryptocurencies ever-even better than bitcoin.
Why? Because the developers and marketing guys promised it? If you make such a statement, please give some more details. Each scam coin promised the same.

CPU mining was nice before everything got all crazy, it would be nice to have a coin stick to CPU mining and be well distributed
CPU mining is not good for any coin as it can be taken over by botnets. The coin has to quickly evolve to at least support GPU to survive. and mining with gpu's is better how? Ever heard of a GPU farm? GPU farm VS BOTNET VS ASIC it is like comparing a tractor, a bus and lambo They are all vehicles but each tailored to complete a task. an ILLEGAL BOTNET is something to discuss, but not any Tom Dick and Harry that has access/owns server farms or thousands of desktop computers. Exactly. Each company has certain problems to deal with. Each coin has certain problems to deal with. You'll never find anything that doesn't have to. The question is, does the developer try to find solutions against those problems.

At least some guys made nice profits renting their SHA256 hashrate at Nicehash (up to +1000%).

kingscrown, I'd like to suggest checking out Magi (XMG), the coin for everyone. I'm sure it's worth a mention. It's CPU only coin (PoW and PoS hybrid), has a fair distribution without IPO/ICO, everyone with a simple CPU can mine it. The developer Joe Lao got a 7 star rating at coinssource and can be found, next to you, in the Proof of Honor list. Magi has a big and active community, they are always trying to improve things like miner software to make it newbie friendly (getting more crypto-unrelated people into the crypto world). Instead of forcing people to buy expensive hardware, Magi tries to get as much as possible simple miners with a usual computer. A paygate is currently on the way. There are many more things to tell, but I'd invite you to check out the discussion thread. Nice article about Magi http://cryptomining-blog.com/4017-coin-magi-xmg-cpu-only-alternative-crypto-currency/
