cpu limit program:
1. ubuntu
    apt-get -y install cpulimit
    example: cpulimit -l 50 -p 1234

2. windows
    bes  ( http://mion.faireal.net/BES/  )

Both tested and easy to use.

Good to know. Also this repo: https://github.com/magi-project/m-cpuminer-legacy-v2

i am planning to buy a AMD FX 8320. And also a GTX 970. I have used intel till date. Do you think, AMD will perform well in the field of mining ? Or it will interrupt GPU mining??

AMD alone wont interrupt GPU in general, but bundled with magi will do.  Grin

My CPU: Intel i5 2500K OC to 4,5 GHZ ~65khs/s on windows 8.1

Interesting. According to http://www.cpubenchmark.net/cpu.php?cpu=Intel+Core+i5-2500K+%40+3.30GHz&id=804 that is the hashrate I would expect at standard clock speed.

So my CPU is not running at 100% hashrate? Do you have one to test it?

I don't have one myself. I would certainly have a look at CPU core temperatures to see if thermal throttling was an issue. The miner pushes a CPU to the limit.

I ment hefty with the testing part Wink

https://i.imgur.com/GODFMDk.png --> as you can see it shows me 100% + OC

merge this cpu that bobben2 have is only a little faster cpu than yours there shouldnt be more than 2-3 khash difference

and this is what bobben2 posted

Hefty,
I have one i5-4460 Has(h)well on ubuntu 12.04.
It does  ~81kh/s @ -t 4 at stock freq, stock cooler, temp goes up to 65 deg.

so it seems that ubuntu is yielding so much more hash than win 7, 8.1
also i have different hash today than few days ago on same exact machines, differences of 2-3 khash it will be so hard to pinpoint exact hash for any cpu right now. Only by starting simple ap like cpuz while hashing will lower your hash by 1khash on some systems so many things like different mobos etc can give you so many different results. I will need to make at least 2 separate lists for linux and windows bc for now what im getting from other users difference is so big between different os to calculate they hash together.

It might be normal with a few percentage difference in the hashrate, which relies on many factors. Given mining under the same minerd, like Spexx's compilation, we may summarize with average values along with some percentage of uncertainties. Making separately for linux and windows would make you a bit tough work on the listing, but feel free to do so. Smiley Btw right now I'm taking bobben2's course to optimize the miner. I guess we can get the hashrate data "consistently" right now. By having another optimized miner, things will go wild varying for sure.

Yes, the BES for windows is very good. I am using it on my Windows VPS. I was trying the Sweet Spot Magi Miner before BES, but no luck, the CPU limit will be fluctuated after some hours.

FX 8320 is great cpu for mining magi, but you will need better cooling than stock and 990fx mobo, with that mobo you can easy overclock to 4.4 - 4.5 on almost stock voltage. One user pmd me where he have problem with droping multi with lower power mobo and he is getting 7-8 khash less than others. GTX 970 i have those cards they are great for mining 11 algo, blake, mjollnir etc, 1 gpu 970 with last SP ccminer realase 36 use 13.7% of 8320 cpu so if you want to mine magi with ccminer on you will need to mine with 6-7 cores and leave 1-2 cores for os and ccminer. With last sp miner those cards are running at only 53% TDP with 92% of GPU usage, and mining Spreadx11 60% TDP 98% of usage, these cards are one of the best for mining right now and they always stay cool and quiet. I took screenshot with magi minerd t7 and cc miner 1 GTX 970

how to do a screen shot

Well said Jawitech.
Mostly coins are happy if new exchanges added their coin. Times change! Magi team also like new exchanges. BUT the exchange should work fine.
The exchange has the obligation to operate properly.
Something can go wrong. But then Support has to take action and help the customer.
At this moment we do not see this from Betasharex.
Thats why the Magi team removed Betasharex from the exchange-list.
If Betasharex has solved their problems Magi team will review their decision again.

I guess it's ok, inside the app it says it's 1.2.1.2 but unter preferences for the file it says 1.2.1.1 or so. Redownloading the chain again...

Check out the VPS mining guide, as it's based on Linux. If that doesn't help you, don't hesitate to ask again.
