1061  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [LIMX][X11] LimeCoinX,Stores, Games, ChromeOs/Android/Iphone wallet on: October 30, 2014, 01:14:46 AM
There seems to be zero exchanges left were this coin is listed. Can anyone name one? I have stopped mining until it's listed somewhere.

hi,

coingather is the only working exchange....its a new exchange, but its working great.

i´m still working to rebuild LIMX...so please be patient!

https://www.coingather.com/exchange/LIMX/BTC

Now the only exchange seems to be dead. Why don't you contact Allcrypt or Comkort, there are many coins like Limx listed.

King, you were not the only one who got attacked by this moron - click here

Was a fail hunt for him anyways
Creating is always more fun then destroying - if ppl understood it, we would have lived in ideal world...

Only smart people can create, dumbasses can only destroy Wink

We're back up now.

Just check this site, the most known pools you'll find here with an own thread.

What he said. But to get an idea, check out this thread.

The same happened to the DEV of Lemurcoin and his new service.
1068  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: limiting cpu at digital ocean on: October 29, 2014, 11:27:53 PM
sometimes i guess it's better to support by buying instead of mining.....
so mine another coin, buy xmg, it's what i prefer at these low prices.

I get your point ...but...if it's not a POS coin, buying doesn't secure the blockchain.
1069  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: IS POLONIEX DOWN? on: October 29, 2014, 11:03:14 PM
Poloniex Exchange ‏@Poloniex

The attack is beyond our ability to mitigate. We are setting up more robust DDoS protection now.
1070  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][POOL] ipoMiner - Profitable multipool targeting new coins + merged mining! on: October 29, 2014, 09:53:47 PM
Added RubyCoin as an option for the scrypt multiport to mine, and on its own direct port on 3471.

Jaw, it looks like it is on 3471

Didn't read that. Thanks a lot!!

I destroyed all my (3) droplets because 5 euro a month for a droplet with a hashrate less than 1.0 is
bullshit.

Have a look at vultr, link in OP and in my sig. Hashrate decreased a bit, too. But still better than DO (approx. twice as fast) at the same price and accept BTC payment.

Thanks, you mean almost 2 instead of 1?
My old xp pc 2core, brings almost 4, so let it be.

My DO vps has around 3-5 kh/s, the vultr VPS between 5 and 8 kh/s on average with the new miner. Don't know why your hashrate is so low.

8Kh/s means something like 150 XMG a month, value around 1 euro, costs vps 5 euro, you loose 4 euro, i guess

Maybe I got something wrong but isn't the whole crypto mining game based on speculation of increased prices and supporting a coin instead of immediate profit and ROI? If all would have done the math in the early days of BTC....

One thing to be very careful of, whatever you do, DO NOT DELETE THE WALLET.DAT FILE! If you delete that file and you do not have a backup copy, all of your coins will be lost. No, I did not learn that by doing it :-)

Good advice. I'm used to create a backup after each new transaction on any wallet. Maybe too much, but you never know. Regularly upload the wallet file to dropbox and probably another location (i.e. USB stick)
1073  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Would a Litecoin clone with premine bring money? on: October 29, 2014, 05:39:04 PM
Miners are not a problem, but you need to pay a " fee" to an exchanger in order to have a chance that someone will but your coin
really, fee? how much is this?

As far as I remember, I read that Bittrex charges a fee of 5 BTC unless they like your coin and add it for free.
really 5btc???
i thought that happens with votes??
like swisscex or cryptsy

That's the option I mean with "add for free". They have to make money, so they add popular coins for free...calling it "public demand" or interest. Coins that promise high trading volume don't have to pay a fee. But what new coin does have such a public interest, so they only get listed by paying.

SocialCex.com is under DDos attack, we are getting popular  Grin

Normal work should be restored in few hours:

"Once the attack subsides, networking will be automatically reestablished to your droplet. The networking restriction is in place for three hours and then removed."

User DD4BC (trust -11) is responsible for attack, since, as i expected, i got PM's from him offering "protection" LOL Smiley

Any chance mods can ban users like this?

Come on, he seems to be in urgent need of money when only asking for 2 BTC at that low prices Cheesy

How much should you pay for "protection"?
1075  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: What good altcoins are there to CPU mine right now? on: October 29, 2014, 04:34:15 PM
you can try mining dogecoin, that's good for cpu mine. good luck and happy to mining Wink

Does mining Doge still make sense unless you have huge hashpower since merged-mining in possible?

Have a look at XMG, I think currently the best coin for CPU mining.
1076  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][POOL] ipoMiner - Profitable multipool targeting new coins + merged mining! on: October 29, 2014, 04:32:27 PM
Does Ruby have a separate port or can I only mine it using the multiport?

I think that MagiCoin (XMG) may deserve a chance. They seem to be quite active and with good intentions.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=735170.0

I totally agree. Solid community support, Dev is always working on improving the coin and you only need a CPU to mine it.
