VPS Droplets Digital Ocean:
Answer from digital ocean why they limit my cpu to 10%:
Cryptocurrency mining is very CPU intensive, and due to the shared nature of our CPU allocations, large-scale cryptocurrency mining will seriously affect the quality of service we can provide to the neighbouring servers on the same hypervisors.
So, while we do not specifically prohibit cryptocurrency mining, we do restrict accounts engaging in this activity.
We apologize for this inconvenience, but we have to do our best to provide fair usage for all our users.
Next reply:
We will not be removing this limit, and the price remains the same. As mentioned, continual CPU usage is considered excessive usage and is not appropriate for our platform which is designed for general computing tasks, not continual CPU intensive applications.
DigitalOcean Support
Joe, please remove the vps option by digital ocean from the OP.
I destroyed all my (3) droplets because 5 euro a month for a droplet with a hashrate less than 1.0 is bullshit.
Thanks for posting. This might explain why my hashrate on the DO vps went down, already wondered why.

Same here. Seeing more 5 coin blocks than the days before, currently no xxx coin blocks. Seems the "big guys" are back
I think you didn't watch carefully, I saw at least 3... (now it is not every time either, but from time to time they pop up) You probably might consider we were watching different pools at a different time...

Was wäre für dich ein normaler Preis für einen Red-Fury USB Stick (2,2 GH/s)?

it's easy if they're all sitting there handily on your home computer, this is an exchange, they'll have multiple wallets on different servers.
there will be several more steps involved for them to rescue coins currently worth 0.09btc for someone elses mistake.

2-3 minutes ?
probalby min of 30 minutes IF one person has access to all the necessary bits. and that person will not be in support .. so you'll have to add their time for handling the ticket to that correct person
dude, c-cex is run by 1-2 people.. they surely have the correct bits.. and even if they don't want to import the privkey into the right wallet, they can still just dump the key from the wrong wallet and send it to their "customer" so he can recover the funds for himself. c-cex is no "free" service.. they charge fees.. for what do they charge fees ? for NOT having 2-3 (or even 30 mins) for their customers ? Exactly, this is called customer support. Keep your traders happy as they generate your income. A reason for me to stay away from them. I hope you get your coins back. Best of luck!

Installed minera on my raspy, works good so far. I only have one problem:
Very often, a pool gets declared dead, although the pool works fine. Rebooting the system, restarting the miner, both doesn't help. Happens with many different pools.
What's the problem?

Maybe Nonce Pool and Suprnova can add some text to their coin info inside of the pool to inform miners about PoM

if any of you end up with your windows-qt client crashing every time shortly after start, just to remember: pull the network cable -> start client -> wait on UI finally popping up ->now connect back -> don't touch the 'market' buttons (or start with point 1)
Thanks Ed, your advice made me able to withdraw my few coins.

I don't have much coins, but will keep them in my wallet. Always trying to get some at bargain prices when miners just dump their coins.

WOW this is a cool coin and rare. I am joining the social site today..btw can we still mine it?
Yes. You can start for example here or at Coinking.

so, are others also getting way less coins than they were before the switchover? or is it just me?
I'm getting more coins now then before. Yesterday more (like in the beginning), today almost the same as last weeks. Same here. Seeing more 5 coin blocks than the days before, currently no xxx coin blocks. Seems the "big guys" are back

Interesting, what the scrypt multipool is mining at GHash
|
|
|
Noticed that, too (nl server). You probably want to give F2Pool a try
|
|
|
Admin removed LTCD and FTC from the Scrypt pool. I think he can also remove 888 as the coin seems to be dead.

Sorry, was my mistake. According to his announcement, he returned yesterday. Just found this one on the pool:
2014-10-27 : I'm returned back. Unfortunatelly LiteCoinDark was forked during my vacation. All mined blocks is not valid in main chain. All balances fixed now. Sorry about some looses but it's also your work to check coins and blocks you mine.
|
|
|
Where is the admin for the pool. Need my litecoindark where it is suppose to be...in wallet or cryptsy
As stated twice on this page, the admin is on vacation.
|

All, any blocks the pool finds in this period, if your miner is connected and hashing block rewards will be paid.
Please bear with us, more info will follow soon.
CEX.IO and GHash.IO sites are back up and functioning You also pay all the orphan blocks, your scrypt pool produces? Currently only ANC and FTC are being mined... If you, I'm gonna put all my hashpower to the pool Just noticed, Darkcoin shows some orphan blocks, too.

Cool, instead of the usual 5 coins per Day, I got over 30 in the last 24 hours. Well done, Joe.
|
|
|
Do they have a site or anything they announce problems?
Support in this thread only appears when someone wants to bring them some money...but no info in this case. Poor communication policy.
|
|
|
It says fixed but anyone else still having problems with pools?
Scrypt multipool produces only orphan blocks. But despite this "maintenance", I noticed that their scrypt multipool in general generates lots of orphan blocks. Does anyone know why, as other multipools don't?
