11081  Other / Meta / Re: Whats with www.bitcointalk.xyz? on: August 04, 2015, 12:29:47 AM
Check out this website:
www.bitcointalk. xyz
Is this domain redirecting to this website? Or is it a phishing page?

Yes, it is very likely a phishing site.

bitcointalk.xyz
fanbitcoin.com
bitcoin-forums.net

(link removed so that you won't click)

The third one used to be in Google search till recently. It was removed from the first page (at least to me) only a few weeks ago.

All pages, profiles, etc. are copied and shown. Exact replica. Only every bitcointalk.org is replaced by their domain name.

I had accidentally entered my password on one of the site a few months ago, before I became aware of it. Had changed it of course, but did not see any suspicious activity even after a couple of days not changing (probably got lucky Wink Not an easy target, I login almost every day). Had tried to log in, thinking that I was signing into bitcointalk.org, lol.
Ndnhc, your quote still contains the link posted by OP Sad
Please remove it or there may be someone clicked on it by mistake Sad
BTW these sites have been discussed here many times, and although they are not confirmed scamming, they are close to scam.
11082  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Best way to measure Bitcoin popularity? on: August 03, 2015, 02:56:14 PM
I personally think that website traffic rank is a good way to measure something's popularity (especially on the Internet). Some popular sites, like Google, Facebook etc. is having a rank of top few (in world). This forum have a rank of few thousand, and some unpopular altcoin's site have a ranking of few million. Thus it is also a good method of estimating its popularity.
11083  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: I am a scammer? on: August 03, 2015, 02:51:07 PM
Yep, even if you aren't really a scammer, however if you are tagged with a negative trust from DefaultTrust, then no one will trust you. Since you're just a newbie, just create a new account, and don't scam people here again. Then your new account will probably don't be tagged again.
11084  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Bter - Scam or Incompetence on: August 03, 2015, 02:48:45 PM
There are so many people talking about bter is a scam. Bter is a Chinese exchange. You should consider if you trust them or not. Some Chinese sites turned out to be a scam. So, if you don't quite trust them, then don't use them. There're plenty of alternatives.
11085  Other / Meta / Re: Signed bitcoin messages on: August 03, 2015, 12:01:58 PM
I see that tomatocage already started a great thread for stating BTC addresses here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=996318.0
It's a great thread and has been very popular.

But what everybody always ask for is a signed message, so I think it's time to carry on from tomatocage's idea and start one for signed bitcoin addresses only.
For members that don't know how to sign a BTC address Shorena created a fantastic tutorial here:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=990345.0
You can sign every address you have it you want to..

Let's start:
-----BEGIN BITCOIN SIGNED MESSAGE-----
This is ausbit from bitcointalk.ord
date is 03/08/2015
I own this address
-----BEGIN BITCOIN SIGNATURE-----
Version: Bitcoin-qt (1.0)
Address: 1J6TkR36eUuxvwTDMiVDTLfyVfMJHsozYA

IP56HzVYwPweVTA5JKBtyPtEx7s0wDb1ZBBuYcGeRmn6LYnA3KJlXgL/efzIF7VWUTJ5ES0mL/85bgqofUe5DwI=
-----END BITCOIN SIGNATURE-----.

This thread is almost the same as the 'Stake your address here' thread, the only difference is you are having a signature at the beginning (while when you trying to claim your account back, you'll need another message signed).

BTW OP have mistyped bitcointalk.org as bitcointalk.ord.

Ok,,I'm locking this. Thank you for all your responses, and I'll check carefully if the thread I'm posting in suits in the forum rules.
11087  Other / Meta / Deleted posts within deleted topics on: August 03, 2015, 12:15:40 AM
*Ok, this question is (quite) for signature campaign's payments, which based on post counts.

I have made some posts in some topics, however, when I check my post count next morning, it falls. When I check my posts, I found that some of them are deleted, but I don't receive a PM on this (normally when a post got deleted, we'll get a PM concerning that). Can the forum notify those who got a post deleted because of this?
11088  Economy / Digital goods / Re: [WTB] Bitcointalk account on: August 02, 2015, 11:58:00 AM
I'm looking to buy a Member bitcointalk account, must be registered in 2013.

Also, you need to sign a message from that account (altcoin,Bitcoin address OR PNG) or you don't need if you are trusted here.

ESCROW is a must if you are not trusted!
Why are you looking for 2013 accounts? Why isn't it 2009-2012, 2014, 2015? Are you buying their potential activity? However some/most of them don't have it. If you want potential activity, you may state it. Having an account registered in 2013 and having Member rank means the same as a April 2015 account of Member rank.
11089  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [CAPT] CAPTcoin - Best distribution! - Best API! on: August 02, 2015, 11:53:31 AM
Oh, someone is trading CAPT at Yobit for ~10000 satoshi yesterday, and today it is still at ~4000. However it is still trading at 898-900 at bx.in.th. What happened to the traders???
11090  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: About monthlybits.xyz on: August 02, 2015, 11:48:32 AM
I have just tested that site, and requested a payout. Then the site said that I'm in the 'Monthly Payment List'. Today is 1st of August, and monthly payments shall take place at 31st. I wonder if they can exist till then.
11091  Other / Meta / Re: Bitcointalk is the King of Crypto. Even Coindesk is a waste of time! (Pics) on: August 01, 2015, 02:19:49 AM
Nope. By alexa rank, a faucet http://freebitco.in, have a traffic rank of 4,754th in the world, and higher than BCT.org. (link: www.alexa.com/siteinfo/freebitco.in)
However, by the rank of where bitcoiners can talk and exchange their opinions, then BCT is still the 1st in the crypto world.
Edit: just found another crypto site, blockchain.info, have a rank of 3651, which is even higher than the faucet.
11092  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: [Faucet]500 satoshi every 15 min (2000 satoshi every hour !) on: July 30, 2015, 02:26:33 PM
20.000 left, you should fill it by now  Cheesy
and thank you for 500 satoshis..  Wink
And now there is only 10300 left, amd after my claim it should be lower than 10000. It will dry out within an hour. Please refill it or you will loss your traffic!
11093  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Which Block Explorer do you use ? on: July 30, 2015, 12:48:02 PM
At the beginning I'm using blockchain.info from the searching results of Google, now I'm still using it, but I'm using blocktrail as an alternative option when blockchain.info say that 'Maximum concurrent requests reached' for me.

BTW I still have my main wallet at blockchain.info, which have handled my over 1BTC in total.
11094  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: [Faucet]500 satoshi every 15 min (2000 satoshi every hour !) on: July 30, 2015, 12:26:35 AM
Thanks for the 500 satoshis!

However, I personally think that the rewards is too high, such that the ad incomes can't cover the payments. You may increase the period of claiming, or just decrease the payout to around 300-400 satoshi.
11095  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: blockchain wallet (takes too long to show up) on: July 29, 2015, 12:46:09 PM
Hello guys , I have a problem regarding loading of my balance in web interface using block chain wallet which it takes way too long at the moment for showing up and most of the time it doesn't show up

in my account I have more than 100 transactions mainly for the reason of using faucets daily

My question is , is there a way to solve this like , delete the transactions and not lose my balance or it's not possible?
If you are talking about deleting transactions (history), it is not possible, as it is one of the factors that make the blockchain secure, so it is not possible.

I do not recommend using the same wallet for using faucet for a long time, especially for light weight ones, because they will easily lag on loading them.

BTW I'm still using my blockchain wallet with no issues.
11096  Other / Meta / Re: A "caution, use escrow" topic should be sticked in the currency exchange section on: July 28, 2015, 12:37:12 PM
I think that, not only the Currency exchange section, but also in other boards involve trading of goods, like the Digital Goods board. Maybe you can start a poll, and I would definitely vote 'Yes'.
11097  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Best decentralized marketplace to sell digital goods for Bitcoin? on: July 28, 2015, 11:31:29 AM
I would recommend this forum. Also, http://cryptothrift.com as mentioned by the last user isn't decentralized, and they charge some fees, while here, at bitcointalk, many escrow services are offered for free.
BTW it is hard to prove that you don't keep the copy of the ebooks, and hence it will be illegal. Check carefully before you sell.

Hello!

When i can start earning?
Unfortunately, I don't see you enrolled in the bot when I check te bot by entering your UID. I've helped you to enroll, but the starting post count is 80 instead of 74.
Sorry.. what is a bot? i add a wallet and write in this post. What i need to do?

Current posts is 80
Go to http://bitsig.website/Coinomat/, and enter your UID (520049). I've seen your recent 3 posts are all counted, and your rate is 0.0003 per post due to your rank. You are now enrolled (because I've entered your UID to check what was happened) and you can wait for payments every Wednesday. However this week's post is almost useless because they don't offer a rollover of posts (except you made at least 20 posts before tomorrow).
11099  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Scammed by sénior user The Bad Guy on: July 28, 2015, 08:31:45 AM
I sold 0.75btc to the user The Bad Guy. I wanted to use localbitcoin but he ask me to trade here. He said no escrow and he would not ruin is sr member reputation here at bitcointalk.
Nope. It is 'worth' for him for ruining his reputation for 0.75 BTC, because his account worth only 0.2 BTC, and doing this will 'earn' him 0.55 more than his account value. If I were you, I would risk only half of his account value, like I would risk at most 0.1 BTC to a Sr. Member, but 0 BTC to a newbie (as those accounts have no value). Risking such high amount to low ranked members are dangerous.
11100  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: BitGold - http://www.bitgold.com - I believe this is a Ponzi/HYIP on: July 28, 2015, 08:26:01 AM
Oh, that 2005 bitgold site is just like today's hyips Sad However I believe the domain have chaned owner, as the wayback machine have featured even older screenshots of that site, and the site looks like a throwaway (i.e. fake company website which intended to sell their site). Or the old owner of the domain don't extend the expiry date of the domain, and it got registered by another.
BTW I also wanted to get some free gold there but I had an account right before they started the campaign and I got nothing Sad
