As usual, S5 will get better and better!

Gotta learn from the master! Bitcoin mining will come with noise hazard and heat!!! for commercial mining operations you'll need the ear muff, no matter you use S5 or SP20. Hi Syke, Thank you for the review posting!! I understand you're imitating our marketing techniques, but why did you copy the miner loudness ?
Would you please make sure all 4 PCI-E power cords are connected to the miner from 1 PSU?
Hi Syke, Thank you for the review posting!!
hummmm Thank you for trying out! I'll be back if I think other options... OK - here it is connected to the RM1000 using four separate pcie connections - no difference. I then swapped the data cables over & tried again - the same board was still dead, so it looks like that's the problem eh?
for shipping durability test version to USA, this is the current screen shot

Another test be power up all 4 PCI-E connectors or try 1000W PSU if you have one... then swap the data cables between the hashing PCB. see if the problem travel with the data cable or remain the same, dead chain 2 Cellphone camera photo are good!!! Thank you @patman....
1 favor!
Could you take a picture of how the PSU is connected?
and, do you want to be on the RMA list for 1 hash PCB?
I can do it on my phone if that's OK? Do you want the pic how it is now - with just the 2 pcie connections on the one good board? Or with the 4 connections on both boards? If you're sure that it's the hash pcb that's the problem - then yes please, but it would be a bummer if you sent the hash board & it turns out to be something else - controller or whatever. Tell me if you want me to do more tests if you want to make sure

Could you please power it off, physically disconnect the PCI-E plug from the non-hashing PCB and plug it back in, then power it back on? will be too many... UPDATE: Aaaaaand it's dead........... Lordy lordy. How many apologies is that you owe me now?

@patman....
I may have to send you a T-shirt...
and a picture of the lotto ticket. You might be lucky today, so if my ticket hits the jackpot, I may share!!

Im sorry to hear this... lets see if we can figure out if it is a dud. It is embarrassing the demo unit arrived half dead. || || ================================================ PCI-E Rail 1 PCI-E rail 1 PCI-E rail 2 PCI-E rail 2 =============================================== || || patman is a long time miner and he knows how to connect the PSU. Thats being said, lets try to find if fault is else where. Hope it is something very simple Tested the PSU - it's an OCZ 850W Gold & I'm using 4 x pcie connectors. It is now running 2 x OC'd S3's without a hitch........

1 PSU with 1 rail of 12v line connected to 1 side and another rail connected to the other side? Please make sure, there is no cross over on PSU Line, between 1 side of the hash PCB and the other side. Hope that is the cause... such is our luck.... Hello Bitmain: - Do I get any prizes for having the first dud unit?: Only one board hashing - the one that is showing the temp, nothing from the other board that shows zero. I've checked all connections, factory reset, reboots, all the usual stuff - no joy...... EDIT: It did work for the first 10 minutes though.......

System Log please but if you think it is defective, please DO NOT DELAY RMA process... USA Domestic RMA goes very fast. Please include Bitmaintech.com Order Confirmation with your returning units. Please advise, this is my best S3+ out of the batch and it doesn't work.

If you could get us the list of altcoin and pool, you want to mine, we may be able to test it for you! Thanks but I want to know "for sure" as it is one of the least talked about functions (at least to my knowledge).
I used to mine alt coins on an Avalon. While the first firmware revisions made it incredibly hazardous to the machines health. (Fans would clock to the absolute minimum and the machine would have a runaway heat escapade.)
The eventual revisions of firmware made it (relatively stable).
I want to check in and see if the latest hardware like the S3, S4 and S5 plays well with alt coin pools without having any calamities. (based only on SHA256)
P.S. I am going to make a thread soon to list the (relatively recent) hardware that supports this specific feature. Mostly so that HW manufactures take it into account or at the very least warn their users that it might end up in a meltdown due to newly discovered bugs.
As long as the alt coins let you! This is a SHA256 miner and it should work but not guaranteed. For Bitcoin Mining, YES THIS WILL WORK!! Miner Experience Revolution – Manage your miner with ease - Miner status monitoring
- Pool configuration modification
- Firmware upgrade
- Share administrative privilege over the web
Can the S-5 hash any alt coin that are based on SHA256? (on Alt Coin Pools) Does the internal or controller software allow it? (Is it capable?)

It is Paypal Approved!! And question to 5% or so more expensive... Yes, there is a cost to run it on Paypal as Paypal requires signature confirmation on the product. That is another $7 and credit card percentage. If the USA Paypal Group Buy is a success, then EU portion may start To Participate, please PM your Paypal Email address and you will receive a Paypal Invoice for Antminer S5 Yet, too bad there is no such group buy for European customers I would do one if paypal lifted my limitations. My PayPal is still limited since my u1 PayPal group buy EU. OP make sure your PayPal account is business and filled in all tax details. Or else they will limit your transaction amount per year to around $500 or something.

(Any special needs, please contact 844-248-6246 and speak with the techs.) I contacted Yoshi a few days ago to see if there is an S4 beta firmware, as once a day I lose two of the asic blades and they look like ---------------------------------- . The only way to restore all 4 blades working again, is a complete shutdown and reboot. Its not heat as I have it outside (covered), and its 40F-50F . Yoshi has not returned my email. Probably on holiday. Is anyone aware of an S4 firmware beta? Can you email it to gareth@vegascompudoc.com . I am a professional full time computer repair tech for 20 years, is there anything I can do hardware wise to fix this? Is this a known issue? Will regreasing the blades help? Thanks
