Please PM us to look into the possible RMA process or direct tech support via remote access Hello i need help, I have tried so many different bat file codes and nothing seems to work right. I have restarted my computer, installed/reinstalled, everything i can think of. I am using windows 7 64bit. I follwed Dogie's guide as well. Downloaded the antminer version of cgminer, the regular 4.8, i came to this board because im at the end of my rope. This is the code i have had the most luck with- cgminer.exe --bmsc-options 115200:0.65 -o stratum.btcguild.com:3333 -u Iskavan_Icarus -p 123 --bmsc-voltage 0800 --bmsc-freq 1306 it actually doesnt just shut down cgminer, it starts the volt and freq . . . . then shutsdown. Below is a screenshot of what happens just before it shuts down/crashes. I have followed every guide ive found, ive been trying to get this thing to work since 6am this morning. Note i also tried to get it working on my raspberry Pi B+ with raspbian. No luck what so ever, if you could help me with getting it to work on both windows and my raspberry that would be amazing, but just getting it going on windows is more than enough . . im just so tired. http://i60.tinypic.com/2j0droo.png

Reset is not bad but, please check the Router or Switch! It may solve some if not all the problem you may be experiencing. Also, when the miner is down, if you could still log into the downed miner, please take some screenshots of Miner Status Page. PM us for the screenshots. It may or may not give us some clues but may be worth a shot! is it bad for my computers to have to reset them this many times per day? I wouldnt think so since there are no moving parts cept the fans but idrk and just want to make sure ty.

Any major issues with the current S4 firmware? Sorry if Im ignorant. If there is or are... Please PM or let us know Thanks! @fresca,
do you have a serial comm for the control PCB? if not, PM us, it sounds like your control PCB may be bricked...
If so, let us take care of you... Firmware loading, please be careful, if you don't have a way to flush it.
Anything for the S4?

WOW!!! Great to hear you got the PSU and even the nicer fan lined up waiting for the S5 Got some Christmas money, ran a spreadsheet and decided this is the best miner going for profitablity. Especially with a few EVGA SuperNova 1300's collecting dust. Placed my order. I figure they work on Christmas. Or the day after I guess.
these look like they will compete with the sp20. I have a new evga 1300 g2 waiting for my test demo I have this fan : http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00A460TK6/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1I believe it will be the best possible fan for the s-5> If the s-5 is like the s-1 or s-3 this fan will make the s-5 a quiet miner. The real key is how the s-5 is with the new pcb board. If it runs as stable as the s-3 did. It may take over the sp20's title as the best home miner. I am excited to do my review. I will do it with 3 different psu's that are all quality. the evga 1300g2 the seasonic 1200 plat the seasonic 760 plat --------I ordered new cables from Cablez to use with the seasonic psu's. lastly I have lower quailty psu's To me as a miner. My gut tells me we will have two quality machines available affordable the s-5 or the sp20. Both have a shot to roi . it will be nice.

@IITravel01, 1200W for 3 S3+ is a bit too high... We have low efficient PSU and Kill-a-Watt showing 1087-1107W. PM us your e-mail, someone from the company will send you a beta firmware for the S3 and S3+ Some are already floating around I think, but if you want the authentic version, PM us and will have someone e-mail it you. @IITravel01, It will consume 600W but it is depends on your PSU efficiency counts and if the PSU can take some overloading. 1300W PSU, sure there is not much overhead is a 1300 watt PSU enough to run two S5's?
Yes it is, as long as its not a terrible brand. is a 1300 watt PSU enough to run two S5's?
It should, but it's close to boarding on it not (only 10% headroom). I would think it's OK, but would keep on eye on the setup for a while before feeling comfortable leaving it unattended. S5s are 590W at the wall with a ~85% PSU. That means 500 pre PSU. 1000/1300 = plenty of headroom. The S3 specs. stated at the wall, but my meter on my power supply and my Kill-A-Watt showed that the readings were at the power supply. If the S5 is the same then not so much headroom. And ambient temps and 110-240V. I tried both 120v and 230v (with a step up voltage converter and a true sine wave UPS and a 240v Kill-A-Watt) with a Gold 1200w (showed 91% efficiency with 2 X S3+) and also used a Platinum 1600w power supply. You can check my earlier posts for more info. 3 x S3+ at default took about 1,200w at the wall (but is rated at 355w x3 = 1,065w).

Enough fans and screws? Hummmm... Pass that on to Papa Ant! See whats mama and papa think! S2 upgrade boards would also be an incredible value if the existing PSU can be reused somehow. Or even a replacement PSU kit.
Got 66 pairs of S1 heatsinks and frames spare....

Hummm.. S3 and S5 hashing PCB only sale? That may be hard with warranty as improper heat sink or heat management may kill the chips on the PCB. sold as is may be... still, let me send your idea in as well. Thank you for the input!! Let's see. Two aluminum slabs the dimensions of S3 heatsinks drilled and tapped to fit S3 boards, additional thru holes to sandwich two slabs together. Copper tubing loops dragon-like sandwiched between the aluminum slabs contacting the slabs well with heatsink compound.
Hey! I had a similar design but could not find square copper tubes cheaply and easily (I probably did not look hard enough). My plans were those of milling 1/2 the length of the tubes as tracts on 2 aluminium slabs (thus the square tubes) and laying those tubes inside one slab then laying the other slab on top, and then fashioning my own radiator, again from the copper tubing tied to some mesh but these never left the drawing board for the above reason. EDIT: If bitmain start selling boards on their own, this is one project I will revive as I was planning on doing this with the S1 boards I had left over from my upgraded ones. I now run them underclocked and air cooled ... but would have been a good pilot project for the S3 / S5 boards.

Hey guys! If you have a cool looking inventions with Ants, Share the Photo or Videos please!! Would love to see them, but please consider original warranty as if you modify the miner... (I had to put that it out here as a small print...) Let's see. Two aluminum slabs the dimensions of S3 heatsinks drilled and tapped to fit S3 boards, additional thru holes to sandwich two slabs together. Copper tubing loops dragon-like sandwiched between the aluminum slabs contacting the slabs well with heatsink compound.

C1 uses a similar looking PCB to S3 or S3+ hashing PCB, but it is little different, so Please DO NOT mix them as the connector even facing differently. just FYI

@Codemeister, Please PM us, lets figure out why it took 20 days... Usually if you are located in USA, Report of RMA to parts exchange can be done as fast as the next day, average 2-4 business days on new products. Shipping time to return, 1-2 business days later, the replacement goes out. (If the item received was defective) Well, I had a broken controller board which has been swapped for a working one. It took about 20 days in total to send and receive. The miner is working perfectly again! Thanks BitmainWarranty!

Thank you for your analysis! Also, it is actually more expensive, to ship within EU, than from bitmains current location, if you calculate per km shipped, so if they would save 20% on bulk shipping to the eu, then besides warehouse, and staffing, shipping from within eu would inflate the price to a higher level than they already are, i personly see no cost savings, for neither bitmain, nor any eu customer.
