btc is costlier to use than a CC. I can have 0 interest rate on my balance by paying it, shops take the CC fees, and I am insured. BTC on the contrary? quite expensive... fees, network energy intake, money supply growth, risks etc... but innovation comes at a price and there is alt:). And if you want to be fair, everyone can get a second hand Igadgets almost for free nowadays... who care of a 5s .

I fully agree with you, this coin deserves a lot of improvements in the regard of blockchain synchronization... even if it has the longest blockchain. I am already impress by you reaching more than 12 peers:). I hope that the devs will implement an elegant solution to this big problem... No, I don't think so, "smuggling" requires much more competencies... the profiteers don't have the necessary level of complexity to even be compared... but I strongly agree with the second part of your statement... the only differences is that their profits are legal, and can be enjoyed more easily...
