62  Economy / Auctions / Re: [Auction] Website generating profit of $300-400 per month on: October 05, 2015, 06:38:28 AM
Got up a bit early so might have missed a question or two, but please bear with me I'll try and address it all here in this post.

Basicly what you are saying, is in the future this will become a sceme. I joined this site because it was you who made and was running it, since you where a valued memeber of easybitco chat.

I understand the part that your study is more important atm, and whish you the best with that, but selling this site is the worst you can do to your members.

I have the deepest understand for why you feel this way - in fact, it was a tough decision to move forward with this. However, at this stage we are fresh out of ideas since we simply do not have enough time to move forward with MBM anymore.

This should probably be in the Auctions board, since it's not a direct selling of the website for a fixed price.

  • Any development process towards the upgrade

Does that mean that the new owner will get the development of what you've already done towards v2? Can you specify how much you've done and how much there is required to do?

Yes of course the new owner will get the current script + all of the development towards 2.0.
We have almost all of the backend functionality for 2.0:
  • Registration / signing
  • Active Mining
  • Passive mining
  • Market
  • General game functionality with movement etc
  • A bunch of graphics for the game

What is lacking at this stage is basically to put it all together in the game, test it with the community and release it publicly.

I will have Richard post the exact details of what needs done here in a few hours.

That's a real bummer. Can you at least keep the game running while you're working on the sale? The last few days that I've tried to do the active mining, the amount of my resources has not advanced at all.

Of course the issue you're speaking of was a memory issue with the current hosting plan but it has been fixed now.
The game will run throughout the auction.

so christian has finally destroyed the site for you, with his lies, abuse, angry replies, etc
if you wanted to keep the site running then members would understand any slowness in updating the site.
i hope you have learned that allowing people like christian to claim that they are the admin will always destroy any project that you attempt in the future.
will you pay all outstanding balances before you sell?

Oh no this has nothing to do with Christian - in fact, he has done a lot of good work on the script. We have just come to realize that none of us can put the time into this project which is required to provide the same level of user care as I did from the beginning.

The video states 1.5 BTC per day (~$300-400/day) comes in, but the subject here states $300-400 per month.

Is the site paying out 96% of its profits or is there something else going on here?

Can you post some financial data like gross monthly (BTC), expenses, net income, etc?

Is there a link to the auction site so you can watch and/or bid?

Oh yes that was a spoken err in my end. I did mean 1-1.5 per month in Bitcoin transactions - not per day.

I will post a bit more of the financials of the game in the main topic later today.

We are running this site primarily as an auction in BCT. We created an account on Flippa which was instantly banned due to them connecting us with another account and their horrid customer support were of no help on the matter, claiming we were the same guy and bragging about their effeciency in closing down malicious accounts.

Do you mind sharing the upkeep costs for the website? Do you have an estimate of how many hours/week of work it takes to maintain the site?

Will update the original topic. In regards to hours of work to maintain the site. The main post of work involves caring for the users and replying to their inquiries here on BCT. I spent a good deal of time looking through posts but you can schedule this to make it easier and more effecient.

I will have Richard estimate how much work is required to have the upgrade ready for users. From there on, the upkeep work for the site should merely be handling customer care and making sure the Bitcoin balance is high enough to pay out users (transfering fiat currency from Adsense to the bitcoin wallet).

Agreed [Knowhow], and while on that topic seller, please share the trends.  IE Quarterly financials for 4 quarters, and/or a few years worth of annual data.

Besides the fact that this is the most basic information about a potential investment to analyze it, it addresses a concern when reviewing this particular business.

The concern has already been expressed here.  In this site, expenses (especially to top users, or users becoming top users) are likely to continually increase as the bonuses of each account steadily rise.  If you don't get more new users on a regular basis (which you pay 0 or little to as they build up their game), the balance tips and the game loses money.

You can make changes to become more profitable, but at the risk of angering and alienating your users, and thus your income stream and trust in the community.

Related, you probably should publish statistics on new returning user growth or perhaps number of page views by users that are less than X months old (3 months might make a good dividing line?  seems to take several months to build up to anything even remotely worthwhile to pay-out).

I'll address this in order of questions.

Have you had a look at the video above? That is our annual financial statistics since the site has been running since Oct 14th 2014, it will be a bit difficult to come up with more than 1 years worth of statistics.

As you see, the Adsense data is no older than 2 months since we did not start using it earlier. Before that, we ran with Bitmedia.io which is also covered in the video.

In regards to top users vs new users, we already prepared for this:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=825713.0

The potential buyer will of course receive any progress towards this upgrade we currently have. Please read reply above.

Well each user with full upgrades will get 432k being active 24hours a day,as i know top users can make a captcha every 4 hours means 6 times a day they must click, and well some users using the auto mining feature ,reducing their income and generating gold without captcha.
Soo i say those report of adsense and there is some days at 70dkk as 40 dkk and 100dkk ,the income never the same, and isnt a day record is a montly, september record, sure more info must be gived like last 3 months income and outspend, besides those there is contracts that take some part of the income, before any sell me made you admin must refund us paying a bit above what we had paid for them, since i dont wanna to swicth to the new owner since the investment were made at your management and i dont know where the new owner will keep being honest and paying us ..... soo before any step on these way refund CONTRACT USERS im one of them soo kindly refund me those.

Will reply to this on the main MBM topic in a second Smiley
63  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: [Beta] MyBitMine.co | New Type Of Faucet | Get Bitcoin From Playing on: October 04, 2015, 10:32:01 AM
Withdrawals have all been handled now Smiley

Some sad news rising. Richard and I do not have time enough to keep this site running at a satisfactory level for you guys and we are sorry to inform that we are looking for someone to take over the project.

The reasoning must be obvious to some of you - for more than a month, I have been offline more than what's good for the community, and with my studies and Richards full-time employment, neither of us have the time to keep this up anymore. Hopefully, we can make the transfer fast and easy and have MyBitMine live forever like the plan always was. I am sad to say goodbye to this project, but would rather have it running in the hands of someone more capable than having to shut it down.

You can read more about it here:

64  Economy / Auctions / [Auction] Website generating profit of $300-400 per month on: October 04, 2015, 10:26:45 AM
We are sorry to announce that we have to sell off MyBitMine. In short, the reasoning behind this sale is simple - with the full-time employment of Richard and my full time studies, we just do not have enough time to continue maintaining this project in a way which is fair to the users.

Details
If you haven't already seen the site, feel free to visit http://mybitmine.co and do your own investigation. In short, the site as one of the biggest and the longest running Bitcoin faucet game with more than 18,000 registered users and several Bitcoin paid out in microtransactions.

We have announced and almost fully developed a huge upgrade for the game, and you will receive any development process we have so that you can continue where we left off. You can read more about this on our main BitcoinTalk thread.

Financials
We have created a video tour of the financials for the site which you can view below.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6Ke5xmCwcwM

For those interested, we can give read access to both the Analytics and the Adsense accounts, in return for proof of funds.

What you get
  • Domain and current script
  • Any development process towards the upgrade
  • The MyBitMine member account for BitcoinTalk
  • 1 month unlimited help and support in getting used to the site and community

Regulations
  • We only accept international bank transfer, escrow.com* or Bitcoin**
  • The auction will run for 11 days (until Oct. 15th 12:00 CEST), but we reserve the right to expand it an additional 3 days (until Oct. 18th 12:00 CEST)
  • We do not currently have a Buy Now price, but reserve the right to put one in place during the auction
  • Bid increments below $50 will be ignored

* We split the fee from using Escrow.com
** 10% of the total price will be added if wishing to pay with Bitcoin due to the expenses & risks we face when exchanging to fiat currency.

The Auction

Starting bid is $1,000. We will update this post with the current highest bid. Placing a bid means you have read and agreed to our regulations for this sale as well as the accepted payment processors. We do not currently hold any Buy Now price, but feel free to reach out per Private Message in case you have a realistic offer.

65  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: [Beta] MyBitMine.co | New Type Of Faucet | Get Bitcoin From Playing on: October 03, 2015, 01:47:40 PM
Finally was able to get a few minutes of spare time and it turned out to be a memory failure. However, I have resolved the issue and mining should be working properly again for everyone.

Payments are being executed this Monday/early Tuesday as I am away during the weekend. However, it is not long ago since I last handled manual payments. Will disable SCW when executing manual payments next time, as it appears most people only have issues with them.

Best regards,
Michael

Hi guys,

I see something is wrong. I am about to head out the door but will take a look as soon as I get internet access again.

Apologies for any inconvenience in the meantime. Will also reply to any message above this one.
67  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: [Beta] MyBitMine.co | New Type Of Faucet | Get Bitcoin From Playing on: September 18, 2015, 09:17:22 AM
Update

Another one bites the dust..

Well, given the things we've experienced over the past month, it comes as no surprise that we lost yet another graphics designer. So we've made a decision to move forward with the current graphics we use as templates during the beta, and release a beta version as soon as possible. The public version will however be post-poned until the graphics are done.

Furthermore, we got an inquiry about an internship from someone capable of designing pixel art, and we are currently discussing the details of it and investigating how we can proceed with this (if we decide on it).

Will of course update you all regarding this when we get closer to an answer.

Happy mining,
- Michael

Seems it will be javascript based there is a hard cap of 2,147,648,213 ^_^ if someone get's that many miner's then I say they have won the internet ^_^

Lol yea there's definetely a limit in theory, but it won't be realistic to reach that amount of workers Smiley Aaand if it happens we'll just use unsigned numbers to increase the limit but it would really surprise me hehe

how do i keep logged in? the more i refresh the site the more often i have to log in.
other times i log in start mining, close the page, and 2 days later open the site to find that i am still logged in.
what is the deal with that?

This is just me thinking out loud:
If you're not using any cookie cleaning software or declining cookies, then it might be a problem with adblocker. I cannot say this for sure though but I faced the same thing on my laptop (albeit only twice) which uses an adblocker plugin, and I haven't seen a this problem on my Mac. In fact, I've been logged in continuously since the first time. Furthermore, when we go ahead and change things on the site, then it makes the current cookies invalid - which can be the cause of at least a few of the times.

Can you describe your exact actions when refreshing the site multiple times or up to you getting logged out? Like, do you spam the F5 button; regularly refresh to check balance; refresh, complete captcha, refresh, surf around, refresh, rinse & repeat; or which approach are you using? Might help us narrow down the problem.

Thanks!

Thank you for reporting it, Knowhow. Don't know how I missed it in my last screening.

And yes there will be no limits to the amount of workers you can have in 2.0. At least theoretically Wink

hello admin ,hello everybody

..my problem is that i don't know the url of the banners....how can i get one???
...the only thing i can find on the refs page is reflinks not banner urls'
...can somebody help me??

Thank you for your question.

To get the url of the banners on the referral page, you can right click the images and select "copy image link". Or you can go to the "View Profile" page and find the links for banners specific to your account.

Just to clear things out a bit:

1. While it is allowed to buy/sell accounts - it's not permitted to have multiple accounts. So if you decide on buying an account, reach out to me and have your old account deleted. If we catch you using 2 or more accounts, then we will be deleting all accounts including whatever progress was connected with these accounts. Also, please note that buying and selling of accounts will not be permitted in the upgraded game.

2. While Christian is currently a member of our development team, he is not partnered with me and Richard. We have hired Christian as a freelancer to help develop some of the core functionality in the new game. The owners of MBM are currently me and Richard (the user: CTO@MyBitMine). However, Christian has been so kind as to help maintain this thread and contact with you guys.

3. We are still working on obtaining a new graphics designer, but currently have 2 people in mind for this task whom we are discussing and reviewing.

Just trying to juggle some free time currently as I am working with 3 other coin dev's, 1 to make a website, One for some  graphical work and one to make a small demo game.

Once I get some time I will  plough 100% into redoing the graphics needed for MBM, shouldn't be any longer than 3 days until I can start hopefully.

Kind Regards
Daniel

Please provide the sample plateau as we discussed earlier so that we can asses your skills - then Richard and I will discuss this internally Smiley

Maybe you could whip up something like a bank that pays some interest on gold deposited. That would give max players something to do with their gold.

I had actually considered this as an option but will not happen in MBMv1 due to the structure of the game and sheer amount of gold being in circulation. However, I am still considering this as an option for a post-release feature to be integrated in 2.0
71  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: [Beta] MyBitMine.co | New Type Of Faucet | Get Bitcoin From Playing on: September 05, 2015, 01:46:22 PM
UPDATE

Okay I have some terrible news. Not only did I get mugged which post-poned things. Now, our graphics designer has bailed on us and we're left with zero designs for the game. We will find a new pixel artist immediately, but this delays things quite a bit. Given the amount of graphics we need, it is not likely that they are ready until late September or early October.

If any of the readers on this thread have experience with pixel art, please feel free to reach out and we might be able to cut a deal.

Thank you for your understanding. We are all very sorry about this.

I will post later today regarding what the beta initially will feature and what will be added along the way.

Also still the payment ordered 3 days ago on 0.001 didn't come

Hi Telon,

As mentioned a couple of times, the Blockchain.info API is quite a bit slow to process deposits at times. It will however come through eventually.

Regarding your withdrawal. Please let me know either your in-game username or your user ID (at the end of your referral link), and I will investigate this. I believe that I already handled all withdrawals yesterday.

Thanks a lot,

UPDATE

All withdrawal requests have now been handled. Furthermore, we have received a bit more graphics and can continue work on the development side of things. Looking very much  forward to the release.

Still a bit turned around after the mugging and apologize for the late replies. Regarding deposits, please read below reply

Hi! Seven days ago on depositary address 1CEvKAd6Ta9d5XkCUKjQft2TWdwhghmmqa has listed satoshi. Till today on the account were not displayed. Before last entering the deposit replenished. How to be in such situation to me? My login in game Alexa.

I believe your deposit has been creditted now. If this is not the case, please send a private message with your transaction hash.

It would be nice to know how much gold I am making per minute after pickaxe bonus. This would make it easier to do calculations. Smiley please and thank you

As described, you gain a 2% profit increase with each upgrade Smiley

UPDATE

Here's a quick update on what is going on. We are still waiting for the graphics designer to return things, he's getting a bit behind schedule.

In regards to deposits, please send a private message with your transaction hash and I will take a look at it.

Furthermore, I did not reply these past 2 days since I got mugged this wednesday and am recovering from it. Withdrawals will be handled Monday, while I brought the wrong laptop which does not have wallet access.

Thanks,

maybe it is possible to pre-order contacts?

Not possible at this stage while we are still working out the exact details for the Contracts Smiley

Login: Dmitr. I withdrew 0,00256 BTC several days ago to the wallet (1DE7AmbCXznseEN5JQEcAK99PAW9v7EPAu). When will it come?

I was just about to handle withdrawals but running late for my bus. By all accounts, they will be handled tonight or at latest the beginning of this weekend. As mentioned earlier, I began my studies a few days ago and have been very busy the first week.
76  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: [Beta] MyBitMine.co | New Type Of Faucet | Get Bitcoin From Playing on: August 25, 2015, 05:32:30 AM
UPDATE

Okay I thought I had better come along with an update about what is going on. We are still waiting for our designer to finish the graphics, and cannot complete the game until that has been processed. Today's the 25th and we will not be able to have the closed beta ready until most likely medio September rather than the beginning of September.

Furthermore, I began my studies this Monday and during this week my time will be very limited. This is a full time study which only leaves me a couple of hours most days to work and while Richard has a full-time job he's in the same boat. That being said, we are dedicated a lot of waking hours on MBM in order to have it finished as soon as possible!

78  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: [Beta] MyBitMine.co | New Type Of Faucet | Get Bitcoin From Playing on: August 20, 2015, 03:45:33 PM
FWIW, I checked my laptop's clock and it is showing the correct time. But when I load the mining page and it starts mining, the page just keeps endlessly reloading without showing the remaining time. It works fine on my desktop.

(Ozycash is a pain to deal with, he spams the Farm Satoshi chat as well with non-value added messages, mostly complaining about complaining and abusing anyone who doesn't speak English. At least here we have the Ignore option, and those who can avail themselves of it may want to do so.)

Ah yes I see - the reason I ask about the time is because we calculate the timer on your computer to save server resources and then validate it server sided to prevent messing with the timer. If the clock is wrong, then it messes up the timer and initiates a loop of refreshing since the site is meant to auto-refresh when the timer counts down to 0. I will however see if we can do anything to prevent this server sided, but it honestly holds a low priority with 2.0 coming up.

...
when ever i have asked a question the best answer i get  is 'leave the site' then when i ask again the reply is 'stop spamming'
...
since version 2 is out and has passed beta testing, may i have the web address to it to try it out?
it may not have all the problems version 1 has and maybe needs not suggestions or comments that will be replied with 'go away' replies from your staff

I sincerely believe that I have answered all of your questions by now, but feel free to reply with any unanswered ones and I will be sure to cover them. And in regards to using the word "spamming". It is directed towards the fact that you post 3-5 messages in a row rather than combining all of your thoughts into one reply.

If you could quote me on version 2 being released then that would be great. I will go ahead and correct that statement but I can hardly believe I ever mentioned it being live.

...

First of all, I would like to apologize on behalf of Christian. I have reached out to him and it is not okay for someone affiliated with MBM to lash out like that.

Secondly, we have handled a multitude of payments without any problems. If you choose to pay out to your SocialCoinWallet account, then the funds are out of our hand and it's a beef betwen you and SCW. I will get in touch with them again to see if they have not paid your account yet, but it is a 3rd party site and we are not in control over them or their actions. If you want to complain - complain about the manual withdrawal system which we maintain.

IF it makes you feel any better, I will go ahead and disable the option of withdrawing to SCW. From our standpoint, that's all we can do in the matter. As I have said a couple of times now, please reach out to SCW with your concerns about their service as it helps neither you, us or them by complaining about it here.

We understand your critisism and accept any kind of feedback.
Again, apologies on behalf of Christian.

On an ending note:
We understand that you are dissatisifed with the third party service, SCW, which we have been using. This is the last time I will reply to your concerns about withdrawals through SCW.
We understand that you believe we are the only ones being affected by the slow transation processing at Blockchain.info. This is the last time I will address this topic.
