As some of you know, I'm doing a project called Project Bitcoin (projectbitcoin.com), and currently need to make a purchase with bitcoin. A huge lot of foreign bitcoin domains surfaced on BitcoinTalk, and I'm trying to judge the value of the domains and whether the lot or any of the domains would be a worthwhile investment. Thanks for your help!

You are hindering small business, and upping barriers to entry for ANYONE considering entering the bitcoin community with a Business.   It's dumb and rediculous. Nobody is going to pay you thousands for your SHADY at best of a business. You seriously just make it harder fro everyone. I have been shopping Bitcoin domains all morning for sites I AM ACTUALLY USING you fucking cunt.  Fuck you from the bottom of my heart for how many bitcoin domains are 50,000 plus right now. And fuck you from every bitcoin website owner. You make this hard for everyone. Yes you.

lol.  you're blaming this one guy for high domain prices in general?

Obviously not. I'm using him as an example of how this greasy ass business drives up domain prices for everyone in the long run. If you think you have something proprietary, or are a genius, you're not.  Anyone can buy a domain from godaddy for 9.99 relist it for 10k and pray.  All i am pointing out, is it is these actions that rise prices or something that was once affordable.  This guy is buying domains, raising the prices out of reach for small businesses and entreprenuers and once in a while getting lucky with a business who's got the budget for it. The last thing bitcoin needs is raised barriers to entry for someone considering to start a service that could benefit the community.  Illegal no. Fuckin greasy as hell, yes.  But in hindsight,  this community seems to be about the easiest ways to make money, not the technology anyhow.

Two orders down. Will update!

Why don't you update with a real business and quit domain squatting. All you're doing is upping barriers to entry for small businesses and entrepreuers. Run a service that doesn't skim off the lower class you fucking cunt.

Hello i sell 10,000 Bitcoin Wallet Private Keys only 5$
These private keys will allow you to gain full control over the wallets and the coins inside them, so you can send whatever you find to your own wallet.
If you interested pm me or my skype:krzysiu.rysiu3
Paypal or BTC.
Peace.

All those addresses are empty and have no previous transactions on them, right?
The chance for a key collision (someone create one of the 10000 addresses) is extremely close to zero lol.

So... this pretty much an advertisement to "maybe" fuck someone out of their Bitcoin?  Choke on a dick.  Can't wait till the day there's accountability (not regulation or criminal justice.. real accountability..) for the cunts in here trying to make a buck off a faceless crime.  IT will happen.  One sunny day, you and your mother will be walking in the mall and you will get a tap on your shoulder by someone you never intended to fuck with. Promise xoxo. Money runs deeper than a computer screen.
366  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin Wallet For Receiving Bitcoins and Online Transfers? on: November 30, 2014, 04:32:20 PM
I play online poker.  I mainly play on pokerstars and i would many times trade my pokerstars funds for other poker players bank of america online transfer without issues.  I know to not accept paypal or chasequickpay as its reversible.

However, i had read lot about bitcoin and i see quite a bit of online poker players trade their funds whether its poker funds or wire or boa or skrill etc for bitcoins and vice versa.

I currently dont have anything bitcoin nor bitcoin wallet etc.  I would like to trade my pokerstars funds to other poker players who would trade bitcoins as i like another option along with boa online transfer.  And to those that ask why dont i cashout directly from my poker acct to my bank account... its b/c im an american thats in canada and have a canadian bank account and the poker site i play on... they dont do wires in usd and do it in euros so basically theres a high currency exchange rate where it would probably cost me like 7-8 percent to get say 5000usd from my pokerstars to my canadian bank account to my bank of america.  So i would trade my pokerstar funds for someones boa for like 3 cent vig.

I know many ppl in the poker forum who are reputable that would trade their bitcoins for pokerstars or boa online transfer.  However... i have no clue where to start with opening a bitcoin account.

Can someone tell me how i can do this?  The reason i created a post b/c i recalled ppl mentioned coinbase as the wallet for bitcoins... but then i read coinbase doesnt allow gambling transactions?  And other wallets are not safe.

Can someone recommend me what site to sign up for?  Am i suppose to link my bank account to it?  I have bank of america.  I also would like to use the bitcoins to deposit into other sites that accept bitcoin... note these sites are gambling sites.

Also can someone tell me how would i turn the bitcoins later on into real cash into my bank of america?

Bitcoin just seems very complicated as when i thought just create a coinbase and i can do this... well i cant because i would be doing gambling transactions.

Hey! Love it. I use Bitcoin mainly for online poker as well. If you play a lot might want to check out Betcoin.  Great small games, good bonuses, GTD that don't fill... Probably a good place for you to make a few bucks ..

As for a wallet, there's hot and cold storage. Keep all your savings in COLD STORAGE.  Only keep the $$ you're playing with in your account and small amounts in your hot wallet (desktop and mobile phone)

My set up

Multibit for the computer, super fast wallet, shows the rates, customization, you should like it.
Blockchain for mobile, PRetty much use this as access to your cold storage for quick transfer and to grab funds out of your savings fast.
wood wallet for my cold storage Just my choice, but physical storage is your safe box. You can find metal wallets, paper, wood w.e you need. Cold storage removes networks and p[rying eyes from any access to your funds (http://yocrypto.ca/crypto-currency-essentials/get-a-bitcoin-wallet/)

If you need to purchase Bitcoin, third party services are the quickest route but typically charge a premium  I see your with Bank of America... Circle will work good for you although i believe they charge 3% they provide an amazingly fast and easy way to buy bitcoin and send it back to your account in $$..  Exchanges let you convert FAST between Bitcoin and USD, CAD or w.e currency you use, browse for the cheapest exchange rates, they are usually quite low. Find both here http://yocrypto.ca/crypto-currency-essentials/buy-sell-and-exchange-crypto-currency/

Selling Bitcoins at a whooping $4... Thankfully I didn't sell them all Smiley

I consider everyone who's been around sine then a soldier.  Can't imagine having something with such minimal value gain such traction in a short time, and drop and  up.... Lately it fluctuates but nothing like it's early days. Must have been a frikkin rollercoaster.

Firefox browser is dead. I've used it for a long time, now most have switched to Chrome.

I kinda agree, but recently my website wasn't loading good in Firefox so i downloaded it... And I actually have gone back weirdly.  I find websites load better/look better on Firefox for the mostpart.  Can't say why because I have 0 tech knowledge, just kinda what i noticed.... But i am on chrome as this is being typed. Ahh who knows lol. The bitcoins got me

all the sites available are such a pain in the ass to sort through, and there's nothing that i really want. maybe i'd get something if i knew it was super cheap and i could re-sell it, but i think those days are long gone.
buy some gold from amagimetals or a new laptop from overstock! The possibilities are endless!

I agree with confusing sorting and layouts on some sites I have scoped, thye accessibility to all the offerings isn't there, tough to locate things that apply to you.  On it, might be late for Black Friday but working on a very awesome platform as we speak, should be done this weekend, perfectly late.
372  Other / Off-topic / Re: becoming suicidal on: November 25, 2014, 09:28:54 PM
And god whatever you do, don't result to pharmaceutical antidepressants.

Try supplementing your life with natural herbs such as tumeric.  A simple change of diet can make all the difference.

Dank, just stop it.  There is absolutely no denying that antidepressants have legitimately helped millions of people.  Yes, a lot of people experience negative side effects, and in some cases antidepressants exacerbate depressive symptoms, but a lot of the time all that's needed to correct the issue are proper changes to the medication regimen by a psychiatrist.

It's incredibly dangerous when you just state this stuff to random strangers whose biology and psychology you're almost totally ignorant about.  One of the most common catalysts for psychiatric hospitalization or suicidal behaviors is when people *stop* taking psychiatric medications.  In other words, a suicidal or high-risk individual typically reduces their risk while taking their medications, but revert back to being high-risk after stopping their medications.

Psychiatric medications are intended to bring a person back to their baseline status so that they can properly address and work through their issues.  The eventual goal is to then be weened off the medication so that the positive changes still remain.

But please, for the sake of others, don't make Universal claims about medicines and their potential to benefit people.  You're not a psychiatrist, nor do you have any clue about the actual properties of psychiatric medications and how they operate in the body.  Statistically, the most effective form of treatment is a combination of therapy and medication rather than one, the other, or the absence of both.

This world isn't black-and-white like you make it out to be with every friggin' issue imaginable.

Not for or against Big Pharma... But i think your name solves the majority of it.

Are you?  Statistically? What statistics? The statistics conducted by who?  I am not disagreeing that it is no good to recomend shit you don't know about, however, you're basing your evidence of statistics of what? The generation that publicized reefer madness?  The generation that 10 years ago claimed marijuana was going to wipe out society, and is currently legalized in a number of states for its proprietary medical uses, the same ones that studies "claimed" to be false? What studies are these? Are you sure they are transparent?  The numbers and studies conducted to support pharmaceuticals and turn people away from other substances uncontrolled?

If you are going to ask for merits, please sir, pipe up with your PHD, because as far as i am concerned your promotion of pharma, is notmuch different then the quote you were referring to.

My name "the joint" isn't a drug reference.  It's more like, "Hey, welcome to da joint!" (Insert Joe Pesci face here).

I'm not a psychiatrist.  But I have a post-graduate degree in the fields of mental health and social work and I was recently (and may still be) ranked #1 in the United States for both productivity and positive client outcomes in my role as a transition coordinator for a Federal financial assistance program the helps nursing home residents with a history of serious mental illness with community reintegration.  I've also worked as a mental health counselor for three agencies which includes the adult psychiatric units of two Chicago Metropolitan hospitals. I've worked with literally thousands of clients being treated with psychiatric medications for all sorts of mental issues including depression and other mood disorders, anxiety disorders, schizophrenia and delusional disorders, substance abuse of all types, personality disorders, chronic homelessness or incarceration, etc.

http://www.nami.org/Content/NavigationMenu/Mental_Illnesses/Depression/Depression_Treatment,_Services_and_Supports.htm

Quote
There are several types of psychotherapy that have been shown to be effective for depression, including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and interpersonal therapy (IPT). In general, these two types of therapies are short-term; treatments usually last only 10-20 weeks. Research has shown that mild to moderate depression can often be treated successfully with either medication or psychotherapy alone. However, severe depression appears more likely to respond to a combination of these two treatments.

Edit:  Interestingly, of all the clients that I've successfully transitioned from nursing homes to apartments or other individual living spaces, only one client needed to be re-institutionalized back into a nursing home.  The reason?  He stopped taking his psychiatric medications just a couple days after discharging from the nursing home (because he said he felt "fine" and didn't need them anymore) and was re-institutionalized within a few weeks.  Interestingly, once he started back on his medications after going back to the nursing home, it only took a few more weeks for the client to re-stabilize back to baseline.  He is now living in a group home with staff on site to monitor his medication usage. He has been doing perfectly fine ever since, and it's primarily because he is now remaining compliant with his medications.

Edit 2:  It's also interesting to note that, although this is the only client I've worked with who has needed to be re-institutionalized after moving back into the community, this client was clinically determined to be the highest functioning client I've had on my caseload according to a mental health level of functioning assessment.  However, the client scored so high when he was in the nursing home and on his medications.  This serves as an indicator as to how much importance medications play in the treatment process.  Our highest functioning client arguably became our lowest functioning client specifically because he went off of his medications, and for no other significant reason.

Awesome.  The Joint, was a joke.

Good to hear you have an education in the area.  That comment clears the air.

374  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: BCTIP - Printable Bitcoin Tips on: November 25, 2014, 04:48:46 AM
Hello Bitcoin community,

several weeks ago I got an idea aimed to popularize Bitcoins - give tips for domestic services in Bitcoins. We give tips regulary, so why don't use Bitcoins for this procees? It is convinient (you don't have to keep small cash bills for tips) and fun. Please take a look below and judge.

Anyone can print several papers with unique URL's, like instawallet. Each paper URL contain amount of Bitcoins equal to $1 to $10 dollars (according to the current exchange rate) and short description of what Bitcoin is. You can give the peace of paper to anyone and he/she will master the funds.

The killer feature is expiration period. If somebody not activated the tip (no matter of what reason) in some period, then funds from unused tips goes back to the owner's wallet. Nice and safe.

To enable the idea I created web service https://www.bctip.org. The web site generates printable A4 paper PDF, which contains this URLs and short instructions. It also helps you manage tips and provides some statistics.

Begin promote Bitcoins today - print BCTIP yourself and give away for domestic service you like!

Man. This is AMAZING. Just came across your site. Thanks so much for the wicked service

For the record, Moolah still has 2 plugins on Wordpress, which would mean there is probably people who own wordpress blogs out coins, and people could still be installing their platform, functioning or not. Im sending them an email to see if they willremove them, i encourage everyone else to if you have a minute.

Is coin payments.net still part of moolah? I see it is still active and was wondering if it was spun off or somehow just left moolah? Will it be caught up in the mintpal issue?

When did they ever have anything to do with Moolah?

I was told that they where owned by it. Maybe it's not the case and is why I asked.

Fair enough. Don't think so, I just ran a PR for them about getting funding.

Speaking of tips, I just put up the new coinbase tip button on my site. I'd love some support from the community to see if it works :-)

http://coinedbits.com/

reply with your impressions of the tip process. There are two options, 1) from coinbase account balance. 2) from bitcoin address.

Let me know what you think of the placement of the tip button as well. I'm worried people won't notice it.

Looking fresh friend, hope yoiu get some donations. Did you have to do anything special to get in under for fixed navbar? No matter what I do, i cannot get the button under my fixed nav, z-index doesnt do anything =(

This guy come to my thread and called me scammer for no reason -> https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=864324
Its amazing how the trollers is not only abusing the trust system for no reason, but ruining other peoples business.
Requesting ban for abusing the trusting system for no reason and non-proof based.
Abusing the trusting system is same like scamming.
If you scam valuable things like cryptocurrency, abusing trust system is also scamming of peoples time to build name and honest business.
This kid spread lies which is non-proof based and not in last place, without any sense.

His post on my thread was:"SCAM-POTENTIAL = 100%
Obvious Scammer - what a waste of a full member account."

Not sure how my profile is waste of account, and i'm not sure how i can scam by using escrow and paying above the loan.

Requesting ban.

I have never had a bad experience with Coinkite, they have always been there to answer my questions and emails the same day i sent them.  This is of interest to me as I run YOCrypto and promote Coinkite in our merchant solutions.  More information please...  Could you please respond to the comment from reddit so I can understand your side of the story a little more and perhaps figure out what is happening here.  It's important  that scams are either uncovered, or FUD is prevented.  Anything to say to the top commenter on your reddit thread?

I'm tired of FUD in this subreddit.
All lies, this guy left the shipment to rot in customs until the bitcoin price was lower and is trying to scam coinkite. Look at the dates on invoices and shipment dates here http://www.canadapost.ca/cpotools/apps/track/personal/findByTrackNumber?trackingNumber=EE172735772CA

Well it's probably not expected and it's up to the individual whether they do or not, but I normally have a quick check and if they're a newb patrollers - such as myself - can delete them, but if not staff can just report them as well which I normally do.

Nice. Enjoy the power.
