1361  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What alt coins do you have? on: September 24, 2017, 02:14:52 PM
Just curious what alt coins are in your portfolio and why do you feel about the future of them?
The altcoins that I hold in a long term and at the same they are my assets and portfolio in my exchange platform  are Ethereum, waves, xem, maidsafe, bitpay, Rlc, they are good to hold and their community was also very active to patronize their coins.
for now I only use etherum and waves for me to save as future investment because I see both have a great future, many people use the etherum platform to receive tokens and it becomes a boon for etherum to keep getting a lot of users, and waves also have a platform similar to etherum.
1362  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What is the best time to buy an altcoin? on: September 24, 2017, 01:43:39 PM
Many people are looking for indications when is the best time to buy a crypto currency.

What are your thoughts or tips on that?

The biggest factor that you would consider is the price because the golden rule is always buy low sell high. But be careful also to choose those coins that are already gained the top spots. If these coins become cheap, buy them. Also, monitor their project for any updates and announcements.
yeah of course all users will do the same because basically the strategy to trade altcoin is buy low and sell high, but we do not know when the price of an altcoin can be said a low price to buy, while it is very possible that the falling price will continue to fall after you bought it and then you lose your money lol
1363  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ethereum in 5 years on: September 24, 2017, 01:40:26 PM
prediction is not always right, but since most of people give good comment on previous reply, i think eth will grow up consistent. if talk about the value, it can be higher than $1000, since 5 year is long time, Eth still have time to grow much more than now. and also many more token is created with eth platform, it can be  a big supporter for Eth to grow in next future.

5 years is 50% of the entire time of existence of this market, there's really no way of telling where it'll go. ETH is almost guaranteed to survive, IMO it's one of the few ones that'll make it past 2020
age of etherum is still very young, but the price of etherum has reached more than $300, i think this is a remarkable achievement for an altcoin and very likely the price will continue to rise especially in the next 5 years seeing the development of etherum continues to show a positive thing and many users are constantly interested in the innovations brought by etherum
1364  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Best Altcoin to invest in for 2017 and WHY !!! on: September 24, 2017, 01:25:51 PM
ARK might win it for me this year...!

Really mate? Well I must not be specific because if we have to be certain of what we are holding, we might be frustrated along with the surprising situations that altcoin fluctuations may occur all the time. If they're saying bitcoin is volatile currency, but much volatile with altcoins due to it's demand substantially increase from time to time. Every minutes price will change and fluctuations may not be predictable as well. Ethereum is just enough and woth investing for me this year 2017 because it's been tested and reliable for years.

Very correct and I'm very aware of that, but that doesn't mean that Altcoins can't yeald a high ROI over time. Fluctuations are part of the game. If you want to be super save; yes, go for Ethereum. But even there the fluctuations can be wild. Same goed for Bitcoin as we've all seen....
even people said that to invest in cryptocurrency that is safe is invest in etherum, but you know etherum also has a very rapid fluctuations. fluctuations are definitely things you meet when choosing to invest in cryptoworld, so be familiar with fluctuations mate if you can understand the fluctuations and the pattern of price changes on one altcoin, it may be beneficial to you
1365  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Time to buy again? on: September 24, 2017, 01:12:36 PM
http://coinmarketcap.com/

Seems altcoin drop has slowed down and many of them are recovering. It seems downfall is over for now, but since they are slowly rising, I guess it's time to buy now before they recover too much?

Always hard to tell, I know a lot of us lost a lot over the past few days. We may be at the bottom now.

Perfect time to buy XRP/LTC/XMR IMHO
in contrast to dash that have significant price increases, i think the upward trend of the dash will continue, probably you can get a little benefit from this upswing trend this is a chance to buy, other than that I see etherum also decreased in price, i think this is also an opportunity to make a purchase for etherum
1366  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Which coin will be the next ETH ? on: September 24, 2017, 01:07:58 PM
  • XMR
  • OMG
  • NEO
  • QTUM
  • LISK
  • STRAT
  • WAVES
  • ZRX

OMG is the strongest contender imo , any other coin you think will break 10 billions market caps ?
i think waves have great potential same as etherum, i see a lot of people start using waves platform to receive tokens and the  market of waves for cryptocurrency trading also start bustling from day to day, i see the marketcap become higher, i think waves have a bright future like etherum

1368  Economy / Economics / Re: If you have a lot of bitcoin, should you spend it or save it? on: September 16, 2017, 07:09:07 AM
Let's say I have 2.1 BTC And I don't spend it. Will it go up a few cents if I save it? Cause in my wallet I have up to about 50 cents worth of bitcoin. I started up with 13 cents 7 months ago. Now all of sudden I have bitcoins worth 50 cents. What do you call this? I only made that one 13 cent deposit. Nothing else!

Well the principles of trading is buy when low then sell when high, So probably if you want to earn more profit then save it, Maybe there will only be a small percentage of profit that you will earn but it was still a profit and it will increase and increase periodically.
i think people put too much expectation in trading , they are also did not think clearly about how realistically they could make profit , and mostly so dreamy talking and expecting good things only without considering the worst possibility could happened.

you put $10 and want to make it $30 , that was not easy. sometimes you should through the storm ,  dropped so low and be patient are a must.
i think expecting to make a profit from trading is not a problem, because hope is an important thing to have but what needs to be needed is skill, knowledge, strategy and patience. you can not just rely on patience to invest or trade, you need more than that, so when bad things happen you can handle it well, like the current situation
1369  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can bitcoin survive? on: September 16, 2017, 07:01:33 AM
I am confident and believe prices can and will survive bitcoin increasing numbers rise at $5000 until the end of this year. because a few days ago until now the price is often fickle and not bitcoin address even the stable often decline. but it It has become a regular thing so it's best we don't need to panic and fear.

I doubt bitcoin price at $5000 this year since there are a lot of happening. From the price dump that is happening this days, I know we can survive that and just go back from the past price of $4000. There is an upcoming debate so I can say that it is pretty normal that it will be hitting a low price again and then just go back after a couple of weeks. That is how bitcoin price works.
i'm not concerned about bitcoin will survive or not? because it is clear that bitcoin users have reached millions of users and continues to grow each day and it is guaranteed that bitcoin will survive. so despite the current panic selling occur it will not make bitcoin die. You can see the price is rising again
1370  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoins has price drop to below USD 3500 on: September 16, 2017, 06:57:55 AM
I just read while browsing this morning this news article... Hmmmm... With the current price, this will be going to be interesting... How many faithful followers are going to continue doing signature campaign and all the stuff... For me, i will continue to do so... I am going to wait until the price will rise up again..

https://www.coindesk.com/back-3500-bitcoin-found-short-term-bottom/

The current price has re-gain again. I would still continue to do the signature campaign weather the price go down because it is just temporary as we can see the price is re gaining now.
yeah the current price has started up again, perhaps the terrible price decline that happened yesterday was just a manipulation of the Chinese traders to make a big profit because according to the Chinese government news will ban the bitcoin market circulating in their country. and it makes the bitcoin price drop very deeply over $ 3500 and I'm also the one who falls in panic lol
1371  Economy / Economics / Re: China banning bitcoin exchages, good or bad? on: September 16, 2017, 06:49:01 AM
If they'll ever close down exchanges there (which I think they wouldn't), then it is good for us and bad for them. Money Chinese citizens invested in bitcoin would evaporate into thin air. Those left in exchanges they might not be able to take back and if they did they'd be worthless. Same with those in their wallets. As for us, bitcoins would be cheaper for a time until some other country take the lead.

Now let's just hope they don't close them mines as well.

China closing down exchanges would be the dumbest thing they could possible do, and they are not that stupid. China are masters at manipulating currency. I think the recent dip and huge jump are caused mostly by them, actually.
of course it's not a good decisions because it will make it more difficult for bitcoin users from china to get/buy bitcoin but think about this, if the goods are getting harder to get, of course the price will be more expensive (market logic), and when bitcoin gets harder to get it will make bitcoin price will higher right?
1372  Economy / Economics / Re: If you have a lot of bitcoin, should you spend it or save it? on: September 15, 2017, 04:18:06 PM

If I have a lot of bitcoin then I would plan some of it to save and a portion of it to spend so that I might be able to enjoy my earnings but also to enlarge my business so that I may earn more. What is important is that you plan ahead and always use this technique to earn more rather than spend more.
yeah you can just enjoy the salary you've got, of course it's a function of us work, "to enjoy it" but that does not mean you use most of your money to spend? use a few percent, maybe under 20% for spending and the rest you have to keep it for backups and if you own a business you can start to expand it by adding capital

1373  Economy / Economics / Re: Holdings of gold vs Holdings of btc on: September 15, 2017, 04:14:16 PM
well for me it is so better to have more bitcoins that gold, bitcoin is increasing its own price rapidly while the gold can't just increase its price because of the government that manipulate it, so better to have bitcoins than gold, hold bitcoin.
I agree with you gold is the one thing that price if even it will go high it wont go high as much as bitcoin you can check all the stats of gold and al the stats of bitcoin from the last 5 years to confirm what i am saying.
There is no need to check statistics; we all know that it is the fact of this decade that bitcoins have successful surpassed gold in being the most expensive asset of the world. Bitcoins are far better for long term investments now than gold. Gold investors are frequently switching to bitcoins.
bitcoin has a good record since the first launching to date, you can see bitcoin prices have a significant increase in the past 8 years, that means bitcoin is a profitable investment for the long term but for the short term it would be quite risky to see bitcoin prices are very volatile, in contrast to gold which has a slow price change so for short-term gold is safer for investment
1374  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What are your plans with your Bitcoin? on: September 15, 2017, 04:13:02 PM

Hi guys Smiley May I know what are your plans on your Bitcoin in the future? Do you plan to keep on investing on Bitcoin related businesses or do plan to convert it into fiat and ventures on new business?

I'm planning to invest more on Bitcoin related companies and convert some of my Bitcoin into fiat and invest it on our local stock market. How about you?

There's no much places to invest, also we can see a lot of scams related to bitcoin.

My plan is use it as a currency, not an investment, just spend some coins here and there and that's it.

Well, if you just plan to use it for buying, I'm pretty sure that in no time there will be no Bitcoin left in your hands. Unless you will buy more Bitcoin in some sites that offers Bitcoin exchange.
I think everyone has a different purpose why they adopt and use bitcoin, you can not blame someone for using bitcoin just to buy something, because maybe they use bitcoin only for currency not for investment? so the plan will depend on the purpose of each user in bitcoin
1375  Economy / Economics / Re: If you were in desperate need for money.... on: September 15, 2017, 04:09:43 PM
If I really need money, then I'm looking for additional opportunities to earn in my spare time or sell unnecessary things. I try not to ask my friends for money so that I do not feel uncomfortable about what I should.

There is nothing wrong in asking money from your friends as it will give you money at the right time when you are in actual need of it as finding earning opportunities is always good but you don't know when you will get paid from it and may be you need to wait longer to receive your payments from it.
To me, mixing money and friends is never a good idea, something always goes wrong, if you give them money to help them then they may come to rely on you to get them out of trouble and when you decide that enough is enough and you are not willing to give to them more money they get mad.
of course there is nothing wrong with borrowing money from your friends, it is the function of a friendship to help each other, but do not you hurt him or disappoint him by not paying the debt, just as happened to me and my friend he borrowed my money and not once returned it and now our relationship both a little bit tenuous just because of debt ?
1376  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How much risk in bitcoin investement ? on: September 15, 2017, 04:04:26 PM
I think there is no risk in bitcoin investment. Because bitcoin price never decrease. So you can invest in bitcoin without any hesitation.
There are risk in every investment that you make, even those that are very low risk, like an investment in the US bonds, has a risk that the US is not going to pay you, so investments have risks associated with them and the the longer you deny that fact then your ability as an investor will be impaired.
Exactly! There is hardly any investment which is “Risk free”. Yes this might be possible that few are less risky as compared to others. I think this factor of risk can be overcome by better planning and a good mindset. Bitcoin investment is risky but only for the ones who does not know much about it.

of course every investment has its own risk, and no investment that has no risk. including on bitcoin. the risks to bitcoin can be minimized in various ways such as patience, knowledge, skills, good planning, etc. if you do not have such a thing like patience of course you will get just a loss, look at the current price dropped dramatically now, if you do not want to be patient of course you will panic and do cutloss and get lose
1377  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: So Bitcoin is better than Gold? on: September 15, 2017, 04:00:21 PM
So Bitcoin is better than Gold? Roll Eyes
Wake me up when you can transfer $1 billion worth of gold for $2 in ~10 minutes from any to any location of the world. Roll Eyes

Bitcoin is better than gold because you can easily convert it.
Not like gold, you need certain requirements and you need to fill up some forms to convert your gold.
And lastly, bitcoin is obtained easier than gold.
I think from what I know today, Bitcoin has already tripled in value compared to Gold. It was fast. At present, Bitcoin is lot more popular than Gold. It is more convenient to use when you are doing transaction online. With the use of Bitcoin wallet you can keep your bitcoins.

Exchanging from Buying and selling is fast, while in Gold, mostly people will think that you really need gold literally before you have it as money.
yeah for rich people and certain people, of course bitcoin is a very good innovation to send money in various parts of the world with ease and with a small fee. even you can send hundreds of millions of dollars/gold just with fee under $5 in bitcoin. and you will not find such a low fee in a bank / fiat. but for a small player like me where only a small transaction of course fee 1 $ / 0.0003 btc is a very large fee?

1379  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin reduces unemployment on: September 10, 2017, 11:42:04 AM
For me bitcoin does not reduce unemployment because there is no employee-employer relationship that take place rather bitcoin helps does unemployed people to earn income even without permanent job and while at home while waiting for job opportunities.
Exactly, bitcoin is not a factor that cause for unemployment rate of the country but it could be a big factors to change our life. The reason of having unemployment increase is that of limited jobs opportunity given by the government or by establishment but the population still increasing. That's why some of unemployed person go somewhere else to find a job and earned money, and they found bitcoin that could solved their problem. In general bitcoin is just an opportunity to unemployed person to have an income, not causing them to become jobless.
in fact many people use bitcoin for their income and I also use bitcoin for my work and my main income. I have no other work at the moment and this is proof that bitcoin reduces poverty and unemployment in a country
1380  Other / Off-topic / Re: What wallets do you use? on: September 10, 2017, 11:37:43 AM
Which one suits you the most?
The most recommende when you want the best security is a hardware wallet but there are a lot of disadvantage so i would really recommend you a online wallet because you can open it just using a internet brower and a internet connection and it is easy to use.
More convient if online wallet you could use thats right I totally agree with that for me if you can ask me that i would probably use too but its ok to use hardware wallet but if you want a more security online and there is a lot of user of this wallet so i agree if you would choose that.
I think choosing a wallet will depend on the conditions and situations that exist on you if you are a frequent exit home then it would be better if you use the wallet online because it is more flexible, you just need an internet connection just to open it
