If the site isn't up somewhere where some insider users are testing it heavily as we speak (which means the connections to the exchange should already be online) I just don't see it happening any time soon. You can rarely just turn these things online and have them just start working out of the box. I wouldn't be surprised if we wake up tomorrow and they are still working on it. |

Yep, crazy, how they can get away with fooling people this way.Additionally, they may say that you can only use paysave on coins purchase newly for 20usd ... not existing paycoin2s.... If they do this , they are attacking the fungibility of the coin. Wasn't it hinted a while ago that the floor might be funded by "retail" sales of XPY at $20? Could have been just someone's speculation though, I can't find it now. But it would fit into the whole scheme rather well I think. You can dump or spend as many coins as you want for $20 each as long as someone is buying them for $20. Still doesn't explain where the 10% discount would come from. Amazon referrals don't pay anywhere near that and their margins are not high enough for GAW to be able to undercut by sourcing from other suppliers. I speculated that a while ago. I think others did as well. Yeah I don't see how they are offering 10% off amazon prices. Their prices are already amazing usually. Will be interested to see that. |

Yes, of course. I get your perspective. But if one believes otherwise, it doesn't mean that their morals and ethics don't line up with yours in the end. Far from it.
If this were the case you would be more vocal with their behavior. Do you or do you not believe they were fractional reserve mining in the past? I believe they are doing what they can to bring a crypto to the masses. If they were a scam, IMO, they would have cashed and ran already. Why keep the charade and the lies and the possibility of going to jail? It would seem to be riskier by the day to continue this way if it was a 100% scam, no? Some may believe this is a flat out scam, but I personally believe that in Homero's mind, he's just running an aggressive startup. In his head there are no rules, so he's pulling out every trick in the book. Only after this whole thing unfolds and either stabilizes or collapses will we be able to judge just where paycoin falls on the scam-o-meter. Based on his actions and promises, things are not looking good right now clearly. He can't even deliver on his promises of a stable XPY, merchants on board, or even the release of Paybase at this point. Why should we be confident in the future based his prior actions and promises? |

I think its likely that josh will come through as a hero late tonight, launch Paybase, and magically have more of those rare and elusive hashstakers that keep selling out available to XPY. Withdrawing BTC/spending XPY for 20 usd with amazon is highly dubious at this stage outside a small group of hand selected candidates. Seriously. The fact is, something like 10% of the bitcoin network jumped over to mine it. I don't think they were expecting that, and I don't think any coin could support that much right away without any hiccups. (Have any other alts had that much power at launch and managed fine?)
No, dozens of other coins have experienced similar growth with no problems and many of them included new/experimental features unlike paycoin. Source, please? Or at least specifics so I can look it up myself? I'm not particularly interested in looking up 200 coins right now to figure out which one you're talking about. Pick any successful mineable coin and chances are they've experienced rapid growth at some point. How many times do GAW things need to break because they are "too successful" before you realize it's all BS? This has to be the ~10th time he's used that excuse.
