21  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: GAW Zen Hashlet PayCoin unofficial uncensored discussion. ALWAYS MAKE MONEY :-) on: January 18, 2015, 08:48:56 AM
Well, I think this explains what happened:

https://i.imgur.com/dF7epuF.png

And this along with Homero's "Paybase update part two" post, probably means they will reverse out all of the direct purchases from the Gaw pre-mine (rather than the exchange purchases) which no doubt make up a vast number of the coins that were purchased during the "crash". So we get to look forward to many people still screaming about their transactions being reversed. There's no way Homero allows his stash of pre-mine to be sold for pennies on the dollar.

https://i.imgur.com/40lGUH3.png

And the reason the buy orders disappeared was Payflash dumping the coins at any cost probably? This would have ended in a disaster in any case as far as I can see. I don't think they can fix it in 30 minutes Smiley

Yes, I agree, it was a double fuck up. Triple fuck up if you count the incorrect amounts on the gift cards. In fact, it is pretty much FUBAR at this point. Queue appropriate png.

And just as I expected.

WTF, I go out to have a nice dinner with my family and I miss another major Homero fuckup!! Life isn't fair damn it!! lol.

Well, I wonder how many paybase millionaires there are now?

If you managed to buy just 50,000 XPY for 0.01$ each ($500) you are technically now a millionaire! Once you register your 50,000 XPY in the honors buy back program, you will then be able to sell 5 XPY (AT $20 each) for the next 10,000 months or so!!! (or until they go bankrupt or are shut down by one of many various agencies now watching them or Homero runs with your BTC).

Congrats guys!! Enjoy your new found millions and remember, Always Be Paycoin'd!

no one managed to get 50,000 xpy. only scam josh himself is millionaires and dumping xpy on everyone else

The game seems pretty ridiculous at this point. By the next daily contest if you don't have a bot that sends the deposit at the exact start of the contest, you will lose. lol.

Did we get scammed?

Yes. But don't worry. V4 will probably be back in 6-9 months. More chances to make money then.

Have you guys notice this coin destruction thread?

https://hashtalk.org/topic/29245/coin-distruction/2

It's interesting for some reason 35k in paycoins keep racing through the blockchain, creating transaction after transaction.
https://hashtalk.org/topic/29138/google-hangout-live-q-a/58

I have seen speculation that Gaw is trying to burn the test coins, that someone is trying to steal coins, or someone is trying to hide coins.

It's interesting to me the number of coins. Selling 35k coins would probably bring in $100k if sold slowly over time. Hmm.. I'm trying to think of someone with at least 35k paycoins who will be needing $100k+ plus very soon. Hmm. Nope, can't think of anyone at all, lol.

28  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: LTCGear.com SCAM - Enough is enough, lets get some info together on: January 16, 2015, 06:38:57 AM
You should consider investigating ltctalk and all of the big players over there too (Sy, TheMage, Sukarti). They all seem in on it in some way. They aren't stupid like Gaw but you can see how invested they are in the ltcgear site. (for example, they are literally designing features for the practically defunct site https://litecointalk.org/index.php?topic=24202.0 in the middle of the collapse). There's also significant censorship happening there. Not as bad as Gaw, but still it exists. I can no longer post on there without my comments being reviewed by a moderator.

There's shadiness going on over there as they defend ltcgear and try to keep the pieces from completely falling apart, but it feels like an undercurrent when compared to something like hashtalk and Gaw, carefully calculated and disguised. In retrospect, it seems like ltcgear was the "killer app" for LTC that gave the coin some relevance, purpose and attention. Someone should definitely look in to see what the links really are at some point.

Now that the shit's outta control, it will be interesting to see if they finally distance themselves from it. It looks like they are hell bent on going down with the ship.
29  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: GAW Zen Hashlet PayCoin unofficial uncensored discussion. ALWAYS MAKE MONEY :-) on: January 16, 2015, 03:57:42 AM
Paybase might be an exchange but not so much is going on on the buy side. About 37BTC out there looking to buy. At least HTers aren't dumb any more. They should just rename it Paysell.
30  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: GAW Zen Hashlet PayCoin unofficial uncensored discussion. ALWAYS MAKE MONEY :-) on: January 15, 2015, 10:12:02 PM
So now this has got to be total bull shit. He's claiming to get thousands of customers signing up per day. Who the heck would believe this?

@ gawceo I must have missed that memo. Along with the few thousand customers that sign up a day

https://hashtalk.org/topic/29166/quick-poll-on-brand-loyality-and-community/20

200k customers + 2k new customers per day, yet only ~6000 xpy wallets are being used.

Seems legit.

Don't forget 100-200 merchants inquiring daily (it was on youtube so must be true), not sure though if that's on top of the 100k merchants they signed up back in December...

I heard there are so many merchants now they are refusing to accept new merchants, cause there aren't enough paycoins to go around for all those merchants eager to take em!

Why would you ever need to move funds off of paybase when it offers so many features?

So, when bitcoin is at $150, which seems increasingly likely, and all those big mining concerns have given up the ghost, what happens to the blockchain ?

I respectfully would ask you to please stop posting this picture of my brother.  He has many issues, and holding XPY or BTC are not among them.  Please do not make fun of those that were born with Downs Syndrome.  They can only TRY to lead lives that are normal, but it is very hard on him with all of the staring and pointing.

Please understand, you may post anything verbally that you choose to, but I ask that you refrain from using his image in a desultory manner.

Thank you.

I agree, please stop using it

I also agree. This is in poor taste and insulting.

And thats why we all quote it over 4 pages so that we can make sure anybody looking at this thread sees it

It's better to quote this than anything that galdur guy says.
35  Economy / Investor-based games / Re: CRYPTODOUBLE.COM - 100% PROFIT IN JUST 100 HOURS - 5% REFERRAL COMMISSION on: January 13, 2015, 09:31:49 PM
Not really. Everyone knows Blackjack is gambling. All over the internet people were telling others via referrals that this company paid out 2 times what you "invested". It was being advertised by users as a sure thing.

An example from twitter:
"#CryptoDouble lets you double the number of #BTC you have in just 100 hrs. Invest your coins here: (ref link) "

So you can't compare people trying to get others (who don't know it's not 100%) to not "invest" in a ponzi to knocking over a table of blackjack that everyone is fully aware is gambling.

And trying to discuss those who know better, then they knew it was always a risk (and they shouldn't have risked more than they could) as you said they "had a good idea of when the site would fold" not 100% sure on when though. Those calculations of when it would fold should have counted when social pressure might make it fold too. Wink

Only the retarded didn't know this was gambling.

I stuck in $25 worth of BTC, and would have taken the $25 back after the first double.  Had the site stayed up for another month and a half, I could  have been pulling $100 a day out of it, playing entirely with their money.

The "social pressure" caused the site to go offline about 5 hours before I would have been paid.  Since I only invested lunch money, against a mathematical expectation that was much higher, I don't have a big loss, but it is certainly annoying that a non-participant whining to Cloudflare and the ISP perturbed the mathematics of the thing, and gave them an excuse to stop paying long before they would have, based on the numbers.

I think CryptoDouble was one of the more interesting things to happen to Bitcoin in the past 12 months.  It demonstrated a sweet spot in terms of return and payback time where people were willing, in large numbers, to play a Ponzi for entertainment.  Note that almost all of the copycat sites that have sprung up spin it as a game, and openly announce that earlier investors are paid out of the funds from later ones.

Contrast this with your typical HYIP where you don't know if you've been screwed for several hundred days.

There are certainly a lot of games on the Internet where a small number of people get something of value paid for by many people making a small investment, like Penny Auctions, and chains of people doing offers for prizes.

I think the merger of such entertainment with Bitcoin is an interesting market niche, and I expect to see far more polished and better managed sites than CryptoDouble spring up around this notion in the near future.

As for "interstellar", I'd strap him to a waterboard, and send him to visit Dick Cheney for an hour, just to cure him of the notion that he has been somehow appointed to censor other peoples fun.

Sorry to rain on your ponzi parade bud. Will do it again every time. Better put that in your calculations.

Sounds like to me that you were in on the Ponzi scheme and are covering it up by saying you had it taken down in order to do everyone a favor. Everyone knows it was a Ponzi scheme. I don't take away your toys fuckface so don't take away mine. Go get bent!

Yes, that is it Sherlock.
36  Economy / Investor-based games / Re: CRYPTODOUBLE.COM - 100% PROFIT IN JUST 100 HOURS - 5% REFERRAL COMMISSION on: January 13, 2015, 09:30:10 PM
Sorry to rain on your ponzi parade bud. Will do it again every time. Better put that in your calculations.

Future variations on the CryptoDouble theme will no doubt be perfectly legal, and engage in full disclosure of how they work.  Should you engage in tortious interference with their business, they will sue you until you are living under a bridge, where you will have little protection from the large numbers of people wishing to use an electric drill on your kneecaps.

I'm not one of those people, but I would definitely watch the video on YouTube.  Cheesy

As long as they disclose they are a ponzi, like weeklyponzi for example, it's just a distasteful form of gambling and I don't give a shit so we are on the same page. But please don't bring tort law bs into this for your own dignity's sake.

Is this the GAW thread?

I think maybe the cultist(s) are attempting to strike back cause they thought we would be pacified finally and abandon this thread once the new floorplan was announced and everything finally seemed rosy. I don't think they expected us to pierce through the veil yet again, lol.

Paycoiners are just jealous of bitcoiners cause bitcoin has the best ponzis. Even Gaw doesn't take XPY.
