When the AMD 500 series came out, I bought up a number of 470 8g cards in desperation. Most of my experience has been with Sapphire nitro+ rx 470 8g cards, and in my haste I bought a number of Sapphire nitro rx 470 8g {not the + version} and so far I have come to the conclusion that they suck ass. I can't seem to mod the bios without them not responding, and almost any moves I make with voltages makes them unstable. I have read this whole forum and saw that others have had these same issues, but I didn't find any clear success stories either. There was a lot of talk mid to late last year about these cards, so I am hoping someone has figured out a way to get these cards up to 27-28 MH/s with a wattage lower than what I am getting at 24 MH/s. Any real life solutions are appreciated. I simply want them stable and using less power at an average hash rate. I am not looking for miracles, but perhaps a bit of hope would be nice. I have spent hours and hours trying to get these cards to a better level of performance to no avail. I appreciate any consideration.
I was able to mod this cards to work smooth 1170/2050@0.9v ->70w gpu-z. The speed is slightly more 29mhs eth. I think I could do better but don't want to waste whole farm time for experiments - pity I have no standalone test system yet Please share your speeds and settings after Wolf's mod |

What are you getting in the bitcore algo?
I compiled ccminer 2.0 and get this with -i 21
gtx 1060 3gb 10.3MHASH
gtx 1070 16MHASH
gtx 970 8MHASH
sounds about right?
This speed will downgrade during time in your case. And card will not be doing 100% gpu load |

Is it true that you can flash nitro rx480 8gb micron bios to nitro rx470 8gb micron card and get fully functional rx480 8gb card? I talk about nitro without plus. I would like to try but this card has no dual bios so I'm kinda afraid ))

Make myself rock-stable version )) from sources )) Compiling it in a different way isn't going fix the problems with the source, the code needs to be fixed. I've tried a half a dozen different builds and they all crap out after a few minutes to a few hours. The new algos are broken. The binary that was posted has huge spikes on gpu load - so with your average downvolt/overclock setup it will fail - it goes to high gpu clock sometimes. My setup is more smooth and have no hashrate drops after some time. |

Yes, you can select the cards with '-d N' were N is the number. Use --list-devices to see which device has which number. Then, just run two instances of the miner, one for the 8GB cards and one for the 4GB cards. Linux version of the 4GB miner will be published soon. 8 mb version works fine for me - r9 390 8gb and rx480 8gb 4 mb version doesn't work - r9 390 8gb and r9 290x 4 gb - it starts and tries to mine but low gpu utilization and low diff shares windows, 16.9.1 drivers |

I have one, it can do 31eth+1200dcr but consumption is huge
You can do 365sols zec at 200watt, not as good as nvidia but better then nothing.
