well, latest news are about that we won't see ref design Vega cards anymore. Ready for custom cards with custom bioses (need to learn how to undervolt) and (maybe) hynix slow hbm? ))

To SP: I had mistake and I told you. I have bought btx-mod already from you. Please, return my money back.
request lyraz miner instead ))
403  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Any word on amd vega hash rates? on: November 29, 2017, 05:19:12 PM
i read a few threads saying they only do 43mhs.
170W with 45Mhz
46.3mhs eth with mem 1148 (stable) oc. 170-180 watt. But can be made 150 watt with more aggressive downclock/downvolt
404  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: CCminer(SP-MOD) Modded NVIDIA Maxwell / Pascal kernels. on: November 28, 2017, 10:18:28 PM
I've sold my old 280x, 7950 and 7970 cards. The 750ti's are still good for monero/cryptonight clones and lyra2z. Low power usage. still profitable.
yeah, this time you are right. gtx750 is the best card from nvidia for xmr and lyra (lyra1 and lyraz) algos. But other maxwell cards are shit. Better sell'em with old tahiti too.
405  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Any word on amd vega hash rates? on: November 28, 2017, 06:45:54 PM
Immposible settings come truth Smiley after 10 days tweaking i find this option Wink
congrats! time to squeeze out some more hash from it! )) go with hbm and socc oc ))

Just curious, what cards are your currently mining with? I remember you've had a lot of 1060/3 cards but don't recall the details and whether you've got any other gpus (I mean, not just for testing, but in large quantities).

I've been mining since 2013 and all the profit has been invested into new hardware. My farm is currently mining with gtx 750,750ti,950,960,970,980ti,  1050,1050ti,10603gb,1060 6gb,1070 and 1070ti +amd cards
you should sell all this shit and by Vegas instead )))

There is an omen - if sp_ starts to get interest to some coin - time to leave. The coin will sink ))
408  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Any word on amd vega hash rates? on: November 24, 2017, 02:29:14 PM
Modified SOC to 1200, seams to be working, so far, without penalty with bonus. Getting about 50 h/s more per card, no increase in power usage.

Seems that third card downvolt didn't work (1v)

Iam now trying to get max stable Point for every single Card. Vega56@65 Air Bios with reg from RednoW. Is it normal that every Change in OverdriveNTool to Voltage Settings results in a mem reset to 800mhz? What iam doing wrong?
I don't know what exactly you are doing. My mod is for vega64 liquid bios and the only steps I do on OverdriveNtool I described earlier.
Are you using Air Cooled GPUs or watercooled? Your Settings run for about 10min at 2k Hashrate and then Windows freezes. I have a strange Feeling flashing 64 LC Bios to 56 AC Card  Undecided

I'm using vega56 air with vega64lc bios without any problems. One thing - all my vega56 are sapphire from one batch ... maybe other v56 can work not so good.
But I helped some persons (that was my greedy 0.4eth payed consultations) with v56 too and nobody complain ))

Low power usage is usually a sign that the algo isn't very well optimized.
say it to xmr miner developers )))
412  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: NSGminer v0.9.3: The Fastest NeoScrypt GPU Miner on: November 23, 2017, 10:57:13 PM
NSGminer v0.9.3 is out, the download links are in the OP. There are bug fixes and performance improvements for all major GPU architectures. GetBlockTemplate is now working in addition to GetWork and Stratum.
Great news! Did you test it on modern AMD gpus and recent blockchain drivers? Maybe Vega? What speed should we expect?

I was getting 515KH/s on a non-overclocked RX480 with the amdgpu-pro v17.40 drivers and +5% with v16.40. These drivers are a disaster, but there's no choice on Linux as fglrx is gone. Maybe the performance is better on Windows.
Thanks. But 515kk/s isn't good. rx480 is a competitor of gtx1066 or gtx1070 and they can do 800-1400 kh/s neoscrypt
413  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: CCminer(SP-MOD) Modded NVIDIA Maxwell / Pascal kernels. on: November 23, 2017, 10:36:52 PM
I have only 1780 with gtx1070. So 2k is good!
As always, there's a good chance that SP's "2k" is with the card overclocked at 100+ TDP, consuming almost like a gtx 1080. Smiley And the actual gain compared to the free miner will be ~7-8%. Just like it was with keccak.
current djm's and tpruvot's ccminers are working with max oc (like 2050-2100mhz) consuming only 50-60% tdp. So it will not be so easy for sp_ to claim performance gain just with more oc with higher tdp without actual code optimization.
I think the main thing that will hurt sp_ and his buyers of this mod is stale shares. sp_ isn't good in optimizing miner <=> pool communications.

@rednow, what are the default values with your mod? Can you share an overdriventool screenshot too Smiley ?
My reg-file mod is based on vega54 liquid bios.
Only changes are to set "greyed" low power state voltages to 900mV (905 or 910 if you are a silicon lottery loser) and increase SoC clock to 1200.
All other settings are done in OverdriveNtool as I wrote before.
I didn't touch gpu or mem clocks in power play at all.

Took a look at your reg file and the offsets are completely different from what most are using. On my  Vega64 it works like a charm with the SoC overclock while still keeping VDDC under 950mv, never seen that before  Smiley

On my vega56's flashed to 64 bioses it doesnt work at all. The offsets are all wrong and they will immediately crash at any Mhz/VDDC combination. Interesting, it's the exact same bios but they still act differently  Roll Eyes

Make sure your vega56 is flashed with vega64 LIQUID! bios

Sp look at Lyra2Z for Zcoin. Do I need to slap you to look at multi-million dollar markets or do you have a truce with someone to not make a better miner for it?

Yes. I have decided so spend 50-100 hours on a mod. I have reached 2000 khash on the gtx 1070 so far.
I have only 1780 with gtx1070. So 2k is good!
but this coin has some problems with pool communication when mining. Did you test pool accepted speed and percentage of stale shares?

Thank you rednoW for sharing your reg file. Its the first where iam able to boot into Windows. Both Vega56 with 64 Bios runs at 2kh/s with ~140W for a minute or two and then the AMD Tool crashes or one GPU crashes and resets to default settings. Also if i reduce mem to 950mhz and rise voltages to 1100mV its unstable. Bad luck in silicon lottery?
Did you set target temp to 50-55 degrees?
Also you may need to fine tune fan speed. HBM @ 1150mhz will work only if its tempis below 65 degrees.

hi :  PSU EVGA 1000 GQ, 80+ GOLD 1000W , can hundle x4 vega 64 ?

Yes, if you undervolt or reduce power target enough.

So that would have been helpfull to know, that you need atleast 900mv or more to be able to increase SOC clocks... I dont want my cards to use more power, since id need to increase fan speed. Im sticking with 1100mhz and 865mv.

That reddit link on the previous page says you might need 950mv to oc SOC.
I'm not sure you need more voltage for soc and hbm overclock. I'm using 900mv (that leads to 875mv in hwinfo64 readings) to keep gpu stable @1408. If I go lower gpu clocks then xmr speed decreasing quite distinctly

you gpu actually run at 1408 ?

because i put in msi -120mv   (i tried more but ring crashed)
power limit -22
it put the clock at 1352 but actually don't matter what clock i put  because it always get up and down and it s run average 1450+
gpu is running with const freq 1408. I'm not using afterburner or radeon settings. I'm not adjusting sliders ))
And I'm using 23Aug drivers ))
