Tested Claymore v10.2 on 8 rx 580 8 GB. Got the same hash rate 830-850 h/s per card as with sgminer-5.5.5. Will stay with sgminer-5.5.5 until see significant improvement in Claymore's miner
Yes, I moved back to my xmr-stak-amd with polaris 8gb cards. Little bit more pool-side hash (but I can be wrong).
Using Claymore's 10.2 with hawaii and polaris 4gb cards only.

I have no idea how some reach 43.5mhs. I tried the steps listed on the reddit page, overclocked it to 1100mhz but I still get 37mhs.

every single time I try to set 900mhz as core clock, it adjusts itself to 902mhz. I have to enter it twice for it to be at 900mhz exactly.

It's UBIQ, not ETH probably. I'm getting 44.1 <:
no problem with ETH (high dag) 44.2mhs with blockchain drivers

anyone got vega running on a linux machine?

AMD drivers 17.30 currently support vega but with no OpenCL support atm. ROCm drivers don't recognize it. I've opened a ticket with AMD and posted it in their official support forums and they've been ignoring it. Even with a fully supported Linux driver, AFAIK it's not possible to make that Softmod like it's done in Windows. Guess we'll still have to flash the BIOS.
With linux and patched kernel you can load modded bios - this is even better then softpowerplay hack

You are killing noobs with your wrong environment vars setting in bat file )))

solved. but unstable 1400mhz@900mV. need 910mV is it shit silicon?  Cry
It depends on the algo and silicon lottery.
For claymore dualmining eth+lbc you will even need 950-975mV to be stable @ 1408mhz ((

Original Genoil opencl miner should run fine in linux and with good speed if you will make it run with 2 threads per card. Also you should try sgminer from Wolf with opensource eth kernel.
567  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's CryptoNote AMD GPU Miner v10.2 on: October 02, 2017, 06:17:31 PM
If i set set GPU_FORCE_64BIT_PTR=1 -dmem 1 -h 896 i have 502 h/s, if set GPU_FORCE_64BIT_PTR=0 -dmem 1 -h 512 I get a 530. That's the problem.
Setting -h as high as possible is good only for modern Polaris and Vega cards (don't know about Fiji) with blockchain drivers.
For older cards (hawaii, tonga, etc) you should find the sweep spot. And it won't be the max value

My 280x are doing ~330-335 sol/s (Claymore v12.5), temp. is about 60-65C, fans at 40-45%, undervolted a little bit from 1.256 to 1.15, drawing from the wall aprox. 220W per card. You can undervolt your 280x more, but I don't care about electricity bills too much, so 220w is ok for me.
To undervolt my 280x I have used VBE and ATIFlash, just google it, there are a lot of articales about downvolting.
Tahiti's are undervolted like a charm with msi afterburner. No need to mess with bios ...
569  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's Dual Ethereum AMD+NVIDIA GPU Miner v10.0 (Windows/Linux) on: October 02, 2017, 05:33:20 PM
running Saffire 470 Nitro's
getting about 25.5mhs after modding
memory clock over 1750 really makes no difference   is this normal on some cards?  asic score is about 75-76 for all of them
they are undervolted in Claymore at 900

I'm afraid that even after 20 years when I become old and ill there will be people asking why their ethereum hashrate doesn't grow with their memory overclock with stock bios )))

Why your miner see only 3072M of video memory on R9 270X 4Gb card?

+1
The same situation with graphics cards r7 370
cause you are both stupid enough to disallow 64 bit gpu pointers
you should
setx GPU_FORCE_64BIT_PTR 1

Well you're one smart. Installation setx GPU_FORCE_64BIT_PTR=1 helps, That much I know. But it is impossible to achieve the maximum memory values with the parameters -h and-dmem

setx is used without equal (=) sign.
= is used with set command, e.g. set GPU_FORCE_64BIT_PTR=1

And what problems with -h and -dmem?

Hello, dear friends!

Ive got several 280Xs mining Zcash for a long time. All are memory strapped , doing ~300 sols/s.
But now think of making them a little bit colder and quiter.

Could you plz point me for some manual of doing this ( i think undervolting or somethig)  ?

Best Regards.

Any advice please ?

fix is to use 4 vega + 4(5) nvidia cards in one rig )))
4 vega + 4 gtx1080ti should be nice ))

Agreed - especially since he can't compile the shit without help. Although the dev of xmr-stak-amd does kinda irk me, as he ripped off my AMD OCL for CryptoNight.
Do you have any Vega gpus, Wolf? What is you best speed with it? Did you try 16gb Frontier? Guess it should do 2.5kh/s with proper miner and drivers.

Hello everyboby

Is there any guide for noob in programming to compile from github source to windows exe? I need in https://github.com/fireice-uk/xmr-stak-amd change one file and then compile exe. I tried visual studio, added files to project, but I have got errors during compiling. As you know it is 1% fee for default, to change it I need to edit file in source code and then compile it.

Thank you.

Not a good idea to leave the developer without fee. So I hope nobody will help you. Train your skills in programming and compiling ...

So, at last I grab my new Vega56, flashed it with liquid bios and apply the same patch I used with my pure Liquid Vegas.
But I decided to clock mem for vega56 to 1090 instead of 1100 as it has not so good cooling as liquid.
Screen bellow, vega56 is running first 2 threads in miner, in hwinfo64 vega56 is the last card.
For Liquid Vegas I set a little bit higher voltage as they run xmr-stak with more intensity (to be sure stable).

280x same as 9.7. No way to use more then 1747MB (-h 832) memory.. going slower if more.
tahiti has tlb trashing bug - nothing to do with it
578  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's CryptoNote AMD GPU Miner v10.2 on: September 30, 2017, 07:00:34 PM
maybe you have to little gpu memory for it? ))
579  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Any word on amd vega hash rates? on: September 30, 2017, 06:52:53 PM
This HBCC bug after reboot is common.
Even worse ... sometimes hash drops without reboot and you need to reapply HBCC again.

i think there's something wrong on my mining rig T_T
