BTC was so volatile one year ago, maybe if you said this same thing back then i would very much believe it but I dont see what horrible thing could cause bitcoin to plummet to half its value,

unless MTGox went out of business and sold every single bitcoin they have I dont see it happening. not saying its not impossible but really what are the odds in the current state that its in and with all the moderate press its been receiving,

Hacks dont cause the price to go down why? because it doesnt change anything in the market merely dead/stacked coins changing hands, it would really need some serious serious selling power in order to get the current trend to change, Im sure as hell jumping ship as soon as it happens but right now would see 32+ being more realistic than it going to 13, at least for now,

like any good trader I do not favor one position i go with the market and ride the waves that come with it

would be great to see some stability for the next week right around this area +-.20 would be fantastic, just about a week of stability should bring us out of the deep red of the RSI and can make another big move upward

who knows tho someone might be bored and will throw a rock into the pond so to speak and we might see some volatility your guess is as good as mine, monday - tuesday should be interesting if nothing happens by then i think we are in the green for some stability

Your statement is to definite for my liking, your saying No one has gotten stupidly rich and has lived like that for an extended period of time because of 1 monumental good decision that set them for life? the hardest is to get to the top i dont think staying there is the difficult part as long as your a level headed human being and make conscious well thought out decisions, others might say the opposite but this is just my view,

maybe your trading style is half here half there, but some not saying myself, like to trade and have everything on the line because they are confident in their decision making and they stand to make the most potential gain, not saying smart at all since having everything on the line is retarded if it doesnt work out but there are those who have had it all on the line, things work their way, and are SUPER RICH because of it

if you are so worried about the price spiking down you probably have to much of your own money invested into bitcoin or bought in at a shitty price / day trading badly,

while im not going to rule out completely the fact that there was a spike downwards in a similar situation 1 year ago the number of people involved are completely different, just like any science experiment a control is changed meaning that many different variables should also be accounted for,

bitcoin is a project and should be viewed as such, there was a small sell off recently but the market recouped very quickly and shot upwards meaning some big player lost money in that situation,

if a 50K sell off that fails doesnt send a message to other big players to not do the same then not sure what else will, give them the rope and let them hang themselves

Why would this scare people? it would make those firm believers of bitcoin extremely wealthy men/women and those who sat around trying to bring the price down to get in cheaper get what they deserve....DUST!!,

bring on the money and buy up the bitcoins, we could be on a ride/people project that may be as valuable as google/apple shares,

Agreed with the statement above,

now and then are 2 different situations considering the amount of growth bitcoin has been exposed to over the past year,

If you have clear vision the large spike to 32 and down happened in a matter of 2 weeks, the growth we have seen has been slow and steady for the past year,

more hands are coming into play and the hands that were once strong 1 year ago are now being normalized via being joined by other bigger players / smaller players becoming bigger players

lol so this threads main purpose is to try and spread fear,

not sure if youve been following bitcoin this past year but selling has been the wrong option for about that period of time,

are you asking for real answers here? the answer is always going to be biased depending on the person so i dont get what people try to get from threads like this.

Ill always say buy bitcoins because I have bitcoins and want the price to rise, people who want the latter are going to say sell,

if your asking for trading advice id say that its best to go with your gut and not let someone else do your trading for you, at least if your wrong you blame yourself and can try to get better / learn from mistakes where as if you trade on someone elses advice your just blaming someone else and will also be blaming yourself for listening to someone else with your own money, catch 22 is appropriate here right?

Im definitely more of a hoarder than seller, more times than not I would rather have BTC since its been proving to be better than actually having money,

i think like most I follow suit where I just buy things either directly with bitcoin or sell when I want to buy something with paper cash, cant see how people view bitcoin negatively especially in the past year

my only guess is that they are sad they didnt get in sooner!

If indicators were always correct everyone in the world would be trading stocks and making money off of it,

just like anything involving 2 major options it is a coinflip regardless of how many indicators say one thing because they can be wrong..

they are there to help you make educated guesses,

those are all good indicators, alot of people also use the Parabolic SAR which shows optimal times to buy and sell by dots below or above in that respective order, buy:below / sell:above

but also should be taken with a grain of salt and used with other indicators as well as trending direction

just like any indicator using a single one to weigh your trading options is amateur

while RSI is one of my favorite indicators a period of stability would more than fix the overbought state that RSI says we are in right now

while a sell off wouldnt be surprising to me I would say it is more than likely there will be a stable period considering we havent seen any relative big sell offs in the last recent days / 1 week period and  last time there was a moderate sell off the market immediately recouped and rallied upwards which leads me to believe that we are still trending in that direction

hopefully we see some stability it would be great for me and for the overall image of bitcoin, many good things are going for it right now and hope to see this continue,
