Decided I wanted to help out some newbies, so make me laugh and you'll earn a bitcent. I don't laugh easily, though, so it's going to be hard, and you most likely won't succeed. I'll try and go easy on you, so if I think it's funny enough, but if I still don't laugh, I might send you a bitcent anyway.
EDIT: I stopped sending bitcents for laughs a long time ago, and forgot to update the op. However, I'm keeping the thread open for when other people have some change and need a laugh.

I'm not a very active Minecraft user so I might be missing something, but why charge for something that is (I presume) universally free?
The idea is that only real bitcoin users will be able to join, because they'll have to pay with bitcoins to get in. I already have a minecraft server that I run for free, but the one proposed in this thread would be for bitcoiners only. Also, it'll help pay for the server. |

I find it offensive when people just assume that homeless people are lazy and could get a home if they tried hard enough, because my family was homeless once. It's indescribably difficult to get out of such a deep hole, and it wasn't our fault we were in that hole. I'm not saying that this is normally the case. There is, in fact, many homeless people that are just lazy drug users and fit all the homeless stereotypes. Maybe it's even the majority of homeless people, but there are also millions of homeless people who aren't lazy, and didn't get into their hole because they don't care.

We would probably need about 50$ per month, I can get 10 of it (in bitcoins).
I believe this was discussed in another thread, but I'm not sure if it ever got anywhere. I do have an extra 4GB Ram VPS I could use if your interested, but I'd want to at least make some of my money back. Maybe users would pay a small bitcoin fee to get whitelisted? It would be like a pay2play bitcoin server. Anyone interested? |
