I can think of plenty of long-running forums that haven't started turning into 4chan.

I'm interested. Are there slots left?

Now, stop posting nonconstructive flaming crap on the forum and find uses to improve yourself as a being!

PS: op is a faggot!
I don't think my post was nonconstructive. This thread actually produced a few good ideas.

Religion is like a penis.  It's great to have one, it's OK to be proud of it. . .but don't whip it out in public and PLEASE don't shove it down the children's throats.
You sir, win the prize of best signature ever.
Oh, my god! That is such a great signature!
666  Other / Beginners & Help / Move to a Newer, More Modern Forum that Welcomes Newbies on: June 26, 2011, 03:27:33 AM
Hi. I joined bitcoinforums.net a while ago, and love it! It uses a much more modern forum software called xenForo with a lot of great features, It's faster, and I believe that bitcoin forums should be decentralized, just like bitcoin itself. So, I'm pushing for more people to join bitcoinforums.net, because it's not incredibly active right now. I thought I'd post this in the Newbies forum, because I know you're all frustrated being restrained to this one category, and at the forums I'm pushing for, Newbies can roam free! Some of you may not join because it's not very active yet, but it will never be very active if you don't join. I'd like it if some of you would give this new forum a chance, because I don't know about you, but I'm starting to hate this forum.

Maybe they should be the shape of a key?

#bitcoin-otc is pretty much the de facto standard way of seeing if someone is trustworthy around here.

So many image posts and posts that are just completely nonconstructive! I've even seen the occasional "op is a faggot." This used to be a forum full of incredibly intelligent people!

First of all, if this means anything, I have nothing but respect for you, Atlas. I've learned an incredible amount from all of you're posts, and you have motivated me to learn more. You are the smartest, most intellectual 17 year old I've ever met (Especially considering how stupid kids are in my area.) I've read thousands of depression posts like this, and usually I have no reaction other than "Well, that sucks." But reading this coming from you actually made me hurt inside. We haven't even really talked that much, but I have profound respect for you anyways, just from reading posts from you and pm's occasionally.

think about it
deadlizard, I have now lost every last bit of respect I've ever had for you.
671  Other / Off-topic / Re: I'll part with 100 BTC when they will buy me this. on: June 24, 2011, 11:03:15 PM
Oh, my god! I wasn't planning on buying a car anytime soon, but this has now delayed any of my plans for a car far into the future!  Cheesy

673  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: [IDEA] Bitcoin-Based Minecraft Economy on: June 24, 2011, 08:56:16 PM
I'm into minecraft AND bitcoin, and run a fairly popular minecraft server. If anyone decides to create this, I will implement it immediately.
674  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Make some easy bitcoins on: June 21, 2011, 01:36:36 AM
You might want to say that in your first post. People might only read the first post and send you bitcoins thinking they will get something back.
675  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: This forum is waaaay to slow help is on the way! on: June 21, 2011, 01:32:41 AM

Unless someone can get the money to me faster, I'll be going with AntiVigilante. If anyone can get me the money today, let me know. Thanks!
677  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: First Legit FREE Bitcoin Site? on: June 18, 2011, 08:25:40 PM
I get "DB Error: connect failed" when I go to that URL. I'm assuming that's just a temporary problem. Is this one of those paid to click or survey completion websites? If it is, they may seem like they give you free money, but generally, you spend a lot more time earning your money than you would with a real job. They can be nice if you have some free time and just want to earn a little extra money, however.

Edit: error is gone.

Edit2: error returned when I tried to register.

There's people that can also vouch for how reasonable I am. If something like that happened, I would absolutely pay you as much more as you felt necessary.
679  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Need $200 USD in BTC, Paying back $250 or more USD in BTC on: June 18, 2011, 03:47:33 AM
It's hard to say, but I'd say a week at the least, and a month at the most. As much as I'd like to offer BTC back, it's too dangerous for me. (I'm only 16, and don't have a steady income.) But thank you for offering. I appreciate that.

Edit: I'd actually be willing to offer BTC back, but only if it were a small amount. Maybe 1-3 BTC? If this would work for you, let me know.
680  Economy / Marketplace / Need $200 USD in BTC, Paying back $250 or more USD in BTC on: June 18, 2011, 03:00:20 AM
I'm willing to offer a higher interest if that's too low. I've been in this community for a while, and I could get a lot of people to verify that I'm trustworthy. I need this as soon as possible, so any help is appreciated.
