229  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Bitcoin Rain on: October 15, 2013, 08:43:06 AM
Friends,

I have secured an investigator to examine this operation, and now you all should simply face the facts:

No current depositor is ever going to receive any money from Bitcoin Rain.

Leandro has been desperately stalling & telling lies about "drawings for repayments" (really Leandro? a "lottery?") hoping that everyone here will simply give up, and move on.

If it makes it any easier to stomach; understand that your funds did not disappear in these recent weeks: They were simply consumed long ago (in a classic Ponzi scheme) to repay early investors their interest and withdrawals (of course other than what Leandro skimmed off for his personal use)

There never was a hacker, a theft, or anyone else at fault other than Leandro's creation of a Ponzi scheme (just like pirateat40)

You can shout at Leandro until the end of time (or until he shrinks off into the shadows) but you won't get any money from him - there is no more money left to further this Ponzi scheme.

It's over -- learn from it.

why you say its over? ponzi is a crime in USA and brazil, the guy is a known person and ripped many people, are you just giving up or trying to make things easy to forget?
230  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Bitcoin Rain on: October 15, 2013, 08:36:44 AM
this scam was hosted on amazon servers, so it means this is subjected to american laws? ooh boy..

next diff adjust will be very close to 40%

2 btc is very expensive price for these units.
233  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Leaving Negative Feedback for BitSyncom, Scammed on Trade-ins, Chips and Batch#3 on: October 13, 2013, 10:21:17 AM
sigh,

shipping priority does not mean the order which shipping happen.

it kind of just means soon as we get a trade in order we will ship it, whilst regular order ships in parallel, they just fall under two queues as suppose to one.

I have to remember these things are not obvious, apologies.

yeah...

boa Pafu

minas é a vanguarda do BTC brasileiro hein? vários usuários, dois exchanges, um caso de fraude, até a polícia civil rodando um node...
236  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Today, ROI is an unobtainable myth... on: October 09, 2013, 04:47:06 PM
Just don't mine for profit, mine to protect the network. Problem solved.

If there were huge profits in mining, hardware companies would just mine themselves.

Yes, huge profits. Exactly what happened.

You forget there were no companies before we funded one or two, then, they made the machines and mined all coins they could before start shipping equipments with impossible ROI.
237  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: China joins the party on: October 09, 2013, 04:33:02 PM

This graph shows only the mining nodes. Someone around Shanghai area raised a nice spike, probably going solo with some Avalons.

What exactly are just the nodes?

Nodes talk to each other relaying transactions throughout the network.

Little update in OP.
238  Local / Português (Portuguese) / Re: Bitcoin nodes, quem ajuda a rede? on: October 09, 2013, 04:01:57 PM
Toda vez que levanto o bitcoinclient eu penso nesse link:
http://genesysguru.com/blog/blog/2011/06/17/bitcoin-theft-the-top-ten-threats/

239  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: What ever happened to Butterfly Labs' BitSafe Wallet ? on: October 09, 2013, 09:06:33 AM
The BitSafe hardware wallet is an open-source project. It did not originate from BFL (see https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=152517.0 for the hardware side and https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=78614.0 for the firmware side), though BFL are the ones commercialising it. Like many open-source projects, work was done in our (allten and I) spare time, on a purely voluntary basis. Since we have other things going on in our lives, sometimes that means that development stalls. Currently, development has stalled. I expect things to pick up in the coming months as I have more free time.

[who the fuck cares]
You may not find a hardware wallet useful. You are probably competent at computer security. A hardware wallet will not offer you much additional security. But what about "ordinary people", who may not be as well-versed in keeping their computers secure? How are they supposed to store and use their BTC? Hardware wallets like the BitSafe and Trezor aim to improve wallet security while remaining useable by ordinary people.

Your project sounds good

I would not align and taint your brand with the SCUM of crypto if you want any chance of getting any adoption by the community

Big Fucking Lies !!!

+1

why have bfl and their past history as a partner? really?
240  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: YIFU IS AUCTIONNING? on: October 08, 2013, 12:57:22 PM
The fact that these units are being auctioned off is a red flag as well as alarming.

Why sell something that actually makes money?
This is why I never and still do not understand people to trust preorder vendors as the vendor would be more inclined to just secretly mine with customer units until they were not profitable and then ship them out.

Seems to be BFLs business model as well as some other vendors.

To make some room on avalons warehouse for their next gen machines?
