Grin

I will buy preorders if I hear back from Avalon that they will ship directly to me.  They are probably too busy to deal with it but I am not going to pay for an order without knowing what will happen.  They said they have all kinds of security and they probably don't want to deal with verifying all kinds of stuff.

As for buying units after they were delivered that has too many problems.  Even with escrow nobody is there verify a working unit is delivered and there are too many issues to deal with and it is not worth the effort/risk.  If I had a unit here hashing I would consider buying it but anything beyond that I don't have time to deal with it.

I would only sell if they could ship directly to the buyer, maybe simply changing the shipment address on the store and having that confirmed
The order has two machines.

Is the old model smaller, or is there just more padding in the new packaging?

very good padding in the new box

Also, I am curious about what the declared price for this package will be.
412  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [AVALON] - I got my ASIC Thread (Batch #2) on: June 28, 2013, 02:31:41 AM
Bump.

I see a few people posting that they received/are running batch 2 avalons, but have not yet updated their info to this spreadsheet:

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AluBwkoeuzdndG5GRk10Qk8wU0FDWU1DLUxCVS1CV2c#gid=0

For the people who received, please send a request to update (with your receive/tracking dates, order number, txid, etc) so we can better keep track of batch 2 shipping progress.

This will help us batch 3 pre-order customers make better informed decisions about requesting a refund.

Thanks!

And if you already have your name on the list just a leave a comment.

Só conta um ponto quando você passa a confiar na pessoa que te deu um feedback, pra fazer isso você deve adicioná-la na sua trust list.

Are there any other bitstreams available? These boards would really be nice as a "booster" for Hash Cat or John...

I was thinking the same(wpa) but for me is a long long road, maybe someone will do it

416  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Avalon Asic] trade-in Thread on: June 26, 2013, 06:26:22 AM
So feb02 regular orders, 75 btc, tradein orders 60, feb18 regular orders 55~56

I think the next newletter will inform the new price and ETA.
417  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Avalon Asic] trade-in Thread on: June 26, 2013, 03:31:46 AM
I paid the tradein in feb02 and got the units already.

The website seems to be up again, can't wait for the price, is it going to be 1500$ less 299$ = 12 bitcoins? Smiley
418  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Avalon ASIC users thread on: June 25, 2013, 06:38:07 PM
remeber the talk about fans and cooling:

adding a fans and drilling a holes is completely different thing. So leting hot air out with decreased air presure may turn out to be better

front fans press "cool air" inside the PSU. drill holes will reduce the amount of cool air. so the PSU will die faster.

the air blow to PSU didn't go through module heatsink, so they are maintain cool.

drill holes about the PSU will let those valuable cool air run over...

PS: when temp3 is about 50 C, the chip die is only about 65C, completely no problem. not necessary to do too hard, we already over-engineered it for you.

Total HW errors doesn't count, only the overall hashrate since only useful hashrate is counted in the current cgminer (note the old cgminer pre 3.2 counted errors as hashrate).

But if we get HW error isnt that meaning that we stressing the machine or something?

edit: trust the developer, back to 3.3 @ 350 for 24 hours now
