I've received my batch #2 order finally, I was considering it was a scam also, but I'm and mining and happy.

When did you order?

Three days ago I saw one black lamb in a condo in Beijing, it was running at max speed allowed in compound streets and I was biking right behind it, dude, that thing has good engine noise and tires, but my first impression after that: it looks like a toy, seriously. Maybe a fake Chinese one?
545  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Avalon batch [3] countdown! on: June 06, 2013, 05:40:50 AM
what else can we do?!
546  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Avalon batch [3] countdown! on: June 06, 2013, 05:18:53 AM
isnt this the saddest thread in this forum?

anyone wants to talk about the ROI for these machines?
547  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Avalon batch [2] countdown! on: June 06, 2013, 05:15:44 AM
Bump, still no newsletter update. Where are the Feb 2nd orders? Or are us Feb 2nd WalletBit users ever going to see anything, whether it be an ASIC or our BTC back?

Avalon statement: "No news is good news"

how often shall we repeat that?

3 months late dude, 3 months.  Is that good news?

549  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Avalon batch [2] countdown! on: June 05, 2013, 02:38:07 AM
I am using "Discus Fish" pool now. Seems stable. Tongue
Aha!
550  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Avalon batch [2] countdown! on: June 05, 2013, 01:42:55 AM

Avalon says that they do not mine bitcoins to test their units.
Avalon has never said they do not buy more wafers than it takes to make 600 units.

With all due respect Prof, what about the chips they will sell?
Maybe they should invite some people to visit their installations to clear this up.

No, "Discus Fish" is a group of known Chinese bitcoin enthusiasts (if google translate is doing it's job). No overlap with Avalon.

There are private pools in China. This could be one.

Well, if 'revolutions' only changed things by 180 degrees, they would call them u-turns.

If I recall revolution is a 360 degree movement, then, are we supposed to in the same spot? Same situation?

If so, revolution is far from enough, we need something else.
555  Other / Meta / Re: brazilian moderador is using his power to sell more bitcoins and delete posts on: June 04, 2013, 11:44:58 PM
The Dictator 2501 erased another topic where he was questioned about his conduct...
He is using his power to promote their own sales...
Editing posts by users, deleting topics...

Who gave him that power was mistaken in the choice.

Got any links to the editing of posts or examples of how he's using his power to promote his own sales?

If there's proof/reason I'm sure we can get something done about it, I just don't really know all of the details.

more proof:
editted two days after my post. he even asked me in PM to remove that post...after it was adulterated. LOL.

I wondered if it was a reference to HTML tables being used for layout, which this forum (or theme) seems to do.

Probably right

This 40thash jump on network could be Avalons testing before sending to buyers.

600 x 68 ghash is somehow close to that.
Also person mining them is from HongKong. And miners are not full time online, it goes offline sometimes.
Maybe Yifu testing new products.

There are two new players finding a lot of blocks named "Made in China" and "七彩神仙鱼" which means "Discus Fish" and they both point to the same address.  Let's all hope this is Avalon testing our shiny new babies.

Three new miners in China, one around Shannxi Provice(?), and two around shenzhen-hongkong, and also a new big player in Japan.
Which one is ASICMINER?

Yeah, it sounds like science fiction, but do you actually realize that Yifu could have ass-raped the network back in January if he wished to, don't you?

Wrong!? Its undeniable that someone had some "fun" testing 300 machines before delivering.
But If what they say its true, that they are struggling to finish machines, how to rape the network with 20terahash only?

If they decided to go solo in January and to produce 600 machines they would have had 40TH/s. In January that was more than enough to ass-rape the network.

And it's Yifu, a student in his 20s. Wait for REALLY big players to step into this game.

How come, if they needed our money to finish the batch?

Yifu is 20s, what tasks is he responsible for in this project? Management? Support? Speaking? Other?
Maybe all other avalon team member have much more experience than that.
One thing is certain, he wanted to be the first asic manufacturer, he *almost* did it, if it wasnt for asicminer, but still a very nice acomplishment.

He could have used our money to produce the units, go solo, and ass rape the network. Good thing he is a good guy and an idealist, he may be lacking some PR skills, but we cannot say he doesn't really believe in BTC.

BTW, big players won't need our money. We will realize they stepped in when we will look at the chart below one day and we will ask ourselves.... WTF?Huh

Maybe its happening... Sad   But with that SMT line ready we are safe, 50 machines per day, right, right?
I understand profit is not the thing here, but more and more people hashing.
