321  Economy / Goods / Re: [WTS] Honey Caramels **BITCOIN FRIDAY** 20% Off Fri & Sat on: November 09, 2012, 05:03:22 AM

20% off all Bees Brother’s products!!

All day Friday and Saturday.

We are in Salt Lake all day Friday and Saturday with limited computer access.  So don’t panic if we don’t get right back to you.
We will still honor sale prices even if we can’t respond to a request until after the sale ends.

All orders will be shipped out on Tuesday.

The website is set up to use BitPay, but if you are ordering multiple items, shipping charges will get excessive.  If they end up being a couple dollars over the actual shipping price we will contact you to return your change or add extra goodies into your package.  If you contact us directly, we will give you a quote with the exact shipping costs and an address to use.

International orders are not a problem, but contact us first to get shipping costs.

Thank you... Bitcoin Community for including us in this exciting adventure and also to all of our previous and future customers.

Nefario seems to be working manually through a list of overpayments. The last blog entry says he's halfway through: http://blog.glbse.com. That was Oct 24. So I think, it'll take another 3 weeks since Oct 24. I hope he releases the list next week.

So much for getting those payments before Bitcoin Friday  Cry

ivillage.com just released an article on "Holiday Food Gifts from All 50 States" and our Salt Caramels were picked to represent Utah. Cheesy

Thursday (tomorrow) night we will post our Bitcoin Friday Specials...
324  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: [ANN] Bitcoin Friday - Black Friday for Bitcoin Businesses. (Info inside) on: November 08, 2012, 06:01:21 AM
We are going to give a Bitcoin Friday bonus to our employees/owners (the kids Wink) so they can purchase something on Black Friday.

Still working out what kind of gift packages we are going to offer.

Thanks Coinabul for putting this together!

Any update on what bitcoin special you are going to run?

It looks like we are going to offer 20% off all our items.  This will hopefully get some new future customers and a way of saying thanks to the repeat customers.  We will post on our thread tomorrow night.

Anyone need a concealment holster? I'll be putting up some holsters that I'll be liquidating on Bitcoin Friday. It was a deal gone bad for me, but the timing was perfect to help out the bitcoin economy. More details coming when I get them up on the site.

I might be interested in a concealment holster for a Sig 226 and a 228.
What I really need right now is something like an Uncle Mike's Kydex Belt holster for two FMK 9C1's and the 226. Got anything like that?
325  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Church of Satoshi and Latter Day Coins on: November 04, 2012, 02:28:13 AM

So why doesn't someone just do it already- and register the Church of Satoshi?

I would hope the Church of Satoshi would not bow down to the dark coercive powers of the State to seek legitimacy. Shocked

Sveetsnelda,
Just dropped off your 1 lb. box of caramels at the post office.  I will send you a tracking number.
I included a lip balm in the package so you can have your own and don't need to get into a scuffle with your girlfriend over sharing a single lip balm  Cheesy

Had a productive and informative discussion with the manager of the Post Office about bitcoin while I was there.

Sunnankar,
The Raspberry/Honey Roasted almonds will be made tonight and shipped off tomorrow.  We are making a little bit extra if anyone else wants to buy a 1/2 lbs. bag.

We purchase the butter and cream from a dairy about 4 miles down the street.  We haven't ever talked to the owner so we don't know all the details about his operation.  But will make it a point to meet him and ask.

We are getting ready for Holiday Gifts...trying to have it figured out in the next day to kick off the winter season with Bitcoin Friday.
328  Economy / Goods / Re: [WTS] Honey Caramels on: October 24, 2012, 12:46:53 AM
We just received our order of assorted Honey Caramels.

These taste AMAZING!  I dare say these are the best caramels I've ever had.  The honey adds a savoriness and complexity that is not usually present in caramel.

Highly recommended  Grin

Thanks CoinLab.  Glad you liked them.

BeesBros, would you be interested in sending free samples of coffee (from my business, bitcoincoffee.com) to your orders?

BitcoinCoffee,  just checking in real quick right now, but will send you a PM later tonight.
329  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Bookkeeping software? on: October 19, 2012, 04:33:22 PM

How would you want exchange rate data to be calculated?  Grab the exchange rate for each transaction on the date/time it happens, or just view all transactions at current value?

How about both?
330  Economy / Goods / Re: [WTS] Honey Caramels on: October 18, 2012, 08:29:20 PM

sounds like this little side business is having some growing pains.

Yes, but not too painful...yet.  The kids threatened to mutiny if we don't plan a trip to FrontSight in the next month.  So we got 2k rounds of ammo ordered.  Trying to get some dates to head to the range to practice, and then in November we will do the 4 day handgun course with the two oldest.

Still haven't gotten to the beeswax candles...
331  Economy / Securities / Re: Starting a new FPGA mining farm/contract! Cognitive on [GLBSE] on: October 18, 2012, 05:04:49 PM
I haven't received any emails from GLBSE at all since the closure. I haven't got the funds from Cognitive's account or my personal one either.

I'm planning on calling Nefario tomorrow. If there are any questions youn want to ask him specifically, I'll be happy to relay them.

Ask him to give us access to our final GLBSE history.  Either email it or let us log in and download a .csv file.

ordered a gift box a bit ago, looking forward to it. do you intend to offer seasonal caramels? I noticed in the Spring you were doing batches with blueberries. I was thinking pumpkin spice / cranberries for the October/November seasonal flavors? would you do a custom order, and if so how big would the batch size purchased have to be?

We received your order last night and will make everything today and ship it out tomorrow.

I like the idea of a pumpkin spice honey caramel.  We probably won't be able to do it this year due to time restraints.  The few stores that sell our products have asked to triple their orders for the holidays and we have already had some businesses place some large orders for gifts for their employees and associates.  And we are planning on doing a few holiday gift markets.  This is going to push the boundaries of our production and our time.

We have had some bitcoiners request some honey/raspberry roasted almonds, and almond butter.  I am sending out PM's today to those individuals to send them samples.

333  Economy / Goods / Re: [WTS] Honey Caramels on: October 05, 2012, 02:31:08 AM
We just ordered a pound.  Can't wait to try these!  Grin

We will have it shipped tomorrow.

Thanks.

While BitPay is down, due to some DDOS attacks, you can always send a PM and we will send you a quote and and address.

The blackberry caramels turned out great.  They are the kid's new favorite.

Thursday will be our first time harvesting comb honey.  We only have about 5 frames worth.
335  Economy / Securities / Re: [GLBSE] NASTY - No Operator Costs, Free Electricity, Free ASIC Upgrade! on: September 18, 2012, 04:21:02 AM
the "bid-ask spread" are real values. I do not understand / why would that be misleading?

The bid and ask prices are just someone's wishes.  They aren't real because they have never been realized.  If someone was to purchase or sell at one of those "wishful" prices, then it would be realized and become real....the "current price" or the "latest price".

Just like if I was buying a house.  The appraiser values the house 200K you haggle with the seller and buy it at 170K.  Then you get hit with a tax bill on your house with the 200K appraisal.  The first thing you do is call the city and tell them that the house sold for 170K... the real market value and they usually correct it without any problem and you don't get as ripped off on taxes as you might have gotten.  Because 170K is the real value.  The house never sold for 200K.  The only true market price is the price I paid for the house.

I have a few ridiculous low ball offers for shares on GLBSE all the time, but they are just fantasy.  But every once in a while fantasy becomes reality. Cheesy

However, the bid and asks do have useful and relevant info and are important to pay attention to.
336  Economy / Securities / Re: [GLBSE] NASTY - No Operator Costs, Free Electricity, Free ASIC Upgrade! on: September 18, 2012, 12:15:35 AM
The statistics are updated every 10 minutes and cached on my server to keep from flooding the GLBSE with requests.  This should allow for the statistics to appear more quickly and even when the GLBSE website has gone down.   Grin

You're still doing it wrong -- Once again, the "current price" in the edited original post is WRONG!!!

current highest bid: 0.51
current highest ask: 0.51989999

What sort of deal are you running where the "current price" is a price I've never been able to get, including RIGHT NOW (it is not the current price) Here is what I've been paying for my shares:

OP's "Current Price" = GLBSE's "Latest Price".

Looks accurate to me.

338  Economy / Goods / Re: [WTS] Honey Caramels on: September 14, 2012, 02:53:54 PM
There is notablely more honey in these than Bit-o-Honey candies, though.

I sure wish we had the name Bit-O-Honey.  Not only do we use a significant amount of honey, but we use BITcoins as well  Grin

Bit-O-Honey's first ingredient is corn syrup.  Honey is listed towards the end of the list after Modified Food Starch, meaning there is just a big enough drip of honey in the large vat to justify a name with honey in it.

Honey is the first ingredient in our caramels and there is no corn syrup.  We do add a little bit of brown sugar to make the caramels firm.  If we make caramels at our house, then each of our open windows has about 100 bees hovering around the window screens trying to get in because they can smell the honey.

Also... trying to make another order...
the non-bitcoin store has less awesome options for combo's and shipping...

We wanted to give bitcoiners a special that fiat doesn't get.  But we can give you the same deal... since you are a bitcoiner and a repeat customer.  I sent you a PM.

Moonshadow,
I am going to start cleaning up wax this Saturday and get your wax gadget made.

On another note, we just had our new commercial kitchen inspected yesterday and the inspector said "This looks great" and we passed with flying colors.  If I can find an open night this week or next, I still need to sheet rock the pantry and then we can move in.

I just bought a huge box of blackberries, and tonight we will experiment in making a blackberry honey caramel.

339  Economy / Goods / Re: [WTS] Honey Caramels on: September 11, 2012, 04:55:34 AM
Just ordered 1lb of random caramels...

wish y'all were in Eastern KS, so it was "local honey"

but can't resist trying the caramel...

We will have those shipped out tomorrow.

Sent you an email asking what kind of flavors you would like.
