Speakers arrived today and they work great.  Tested them tonight with Pink Floyd, Jimi Hendrix, Green Day, and Beethovin while we worked on today's honey orders.
I don't remember the prices, but BitcoinStore was cheaper than Amazon, and shipping wasn't very much either.

Thanks guys.

Its too bad their website has been down for half a day right when they are getting some good press.

Edit: They are back up.
284  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] BitcoinStore launching with 0% margin on: March 01, 2013, 07:36:36 AM
Just placed my first Bitcoinstore order.

Looking forward to finally having some nice computer speakers at the kitchen so we can listen to some Grateful Dead concerts on Internet Archive while we sit around the table rolling honey caramels Cool

Don't forget to wear your favorite pair of Alpaca socks!

At the moment I have the socks I need.  But I am looking for some type of holographic sights such as these:
http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=bl_sr_sporting-goods?_encoding=UTF8&field-brandtextbin=EOTech&node=3375251
Looking for a range finder too.

Might the BitcoinStore start selling some electronic sporting goods in the future?

285  Economy / Goods / Re: [WTS] Honey Caramels on: March 01, 2013, 03:12:04 AM
Someone just sent an email asking if we were still making caramels...

Yes we are.  We had 11 orders this week (8 with bitcoin), and an order from a store for 1300 caramels.

Next week we will be getting read for a "Meet the Producers" event in Park City.

Eagerly waiting for a warm day to check the bees.
Holy crap!  Do you get that amount of orders consistently?

PS: I might buy some more caramels soon!

Thank goodness no!

The store orders are once or twice a month.  The last couple weeks we only had two small orders.

288  Bitcoin / Press / Re: 2013-02-22 LFB.ORG My New Bitcoin Life on: February 25, 2013, 02:49:49 AM
I've been hoping Tucker would write something about bitcoin for awhile.  The link to the article made my day.

And this just in from Tom Woods:
Having a great time so far at the New Hampshire Liberty Forum. I'm having lunch with some Bitcoin guys tomorrow, so for all you folks who have urged me to look into this, I am doing it!

Two of my kids signed up for a class with the Mises Institute a few months back. I called and asked if they were going to mention bitcoin in the "What is Money" section.  I also mentioned that the boys had a little business and that a good portion of their transactions used bitcoin.  I told them that I hoped the class would address this new form of "money" and how it fits in with an increasingly digital world.

289  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What do you want to buy with bitcoins? on: February 22, 2013, 09:10:09 PM

A uncapping tank and a motorized extractor.

290  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Could Bitcoin be a solution for the raw milk market? on: February 19, 2013, 04:33:43 PM
Does raw milk go better with raw cookie dough?  Grin

Raw honey makes both go better. Wink

My siblings and I grew up milking goats and supplying the whole neighborhood with raw milk and chicken eggs.
Everybody was happy and healthy...  Good thing we didn't know about government's concern for us... otherwise we all might have ended up sick and dead...or in jail.

Looking back...we should have been selling that stuff instead of giving it away.

291  Economy / Goods / Re: [WTS] Honey Caramels **Valentine's Day Special** on: February 04, 2013, 05:24:02 PM
We are going to repeat the same special we did last year for Valentine's Day...

Every order will get a free Beeswax Lip Balm.
If any 3 times are ordered, we will include a free Beeswax Lotion Bar, plus the Lip Balm.

Also, USPS shipping prices have increased slightly the end of January...If using bitcoin, we will use the old shipping prices until Valentine's Day.  Fiat orders will have current shipping prices.

If you would like a red ribbon tied around the honey caramel boxes, just let us know and we will do that.

Its been pretty cold this winter and we fear we might have some heavy bee losses!

292  Economy / Goods / Re: Would you like to buy perfume for bitcoins and similar currencies? on: January 31, 2013, 04:32:13 PM
But after getting the name of the site bees brothers and looking into it I have to say they are an awesome site and they seem to be doing well, over the holidays was a goldmine for them and the customer service they offer is incredible.

I wouldn’t call it a gold mine, but from Bitcoin Friday to Christmas, we were quite busy with a mix of bitcoin and fiat orders.  It was enough to encourage us to continue this insane business another year.  We make enough to cover expenses, and have yet to be paid any wages in these past 5 years.  Any profits we make go into purchasing more bees and equipment…which is a slow process in that we don’t want to take any loans.  Luckily this is a part time project.

The real value we (wife and I) get out of this is that the kids work their butts off and are learning various things about running a business (and not living on the dole).  The plan for this year, is that the kids will get paychecks (wife and I will continue to volunteer as slave laborers).

Of course with btc exchanging over $20 at the moment...maybe this is better than a gold mine Cool

Back to the OP:

I am keen to provide some commonly liked goods for sale. Can you reply by saying whether yes you would like to buy perfume or no and perhaps reasons.

Most perfumes give me headaches, so that is my reason I wouldn't purchase perfume.  The one exception is Hoppes #9 Wink
293  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: BITCOIN MAGAZINE ARRIVED! on: January 27, 2013, 02:53:45 AM
I just received #4 and #5 today.  The mailbox was wet and snowy, but the wrapping kept the magazines dry.
294  Economy / Goods / Re: [WTS] Honey Caramels on: January 25, 2013, 09:02:12 PM
Just a quick update:

Those that ordered in the last couple of days to get the free chocolate/honey caramel/pecan turtles...all have been shipped.
We stayed up last night and got them done.  Dropped them off at the Post Office a few minutes ago.

We are heading up into the mountains to build snow caves.  We will be back tomorrow afternoon (I hope) and then I will send each of you your tracking numbers.

295  Economy / Goods / Re: [WTS] Honey Caramels**1 Year Anniversary Today** on: January 24, 2013, 01:43:06 AM
Today is our 1 year anniversary of when Bees Brothers started accepting Bitcoin!

To celebrate, we want to offer a special.  For any orders we receive in the next 24 hrs or so, we will include a free Honey Caramel Turtle.  The turtles are made with honey caramel and pecans, dipped in milk chocolate.  We don't sell them often, but when we do, they are gone pretty fast! When we sell them, its for $3.50.

To receive the free Honey Caramel Turtle, orders need to be done with bitcoin.
296  Economy / Goods / Re: Come in and Trade Ammo or Talk about Guns! on: January 22, 2013, 06:03:52 PM
Just got back this morning from the 4-Day Rifle Class at Front Sight.
I couldn't find any ammo before I left, but Stockpile Defense had ammo they sold only to students, and only enough for the class you are taking.  I paid $264 for 460 rounds of 5.56.

7.62x39 was $329 for 460 rnds.

If these prices keep going up, I'm going to have to go back to my childhood days and just throw rocks Cry

297  Economy / Goods / Re: [WTB] - Liquid Nitrogen Dewar (Taylor Wharton, Union Carbide, Linde) on: January 08, 2013, 04:50:42 PM
I assume you are looking for a used dewar and not new.

If you want a new dewar, I have several sales reps from various companies that usually give me much better pricing than what is listed.
Many of them are restricted on selling to private individuals, but in the past, some have helped me acquire equipment for personal use, with the better pricing.
298  Economy / Goods / Re: [WTS] Honey Caramels on: January 03, 2013, 04:44:12 PM
just wanted to update and plug bees bros. again. one of the packages they sent out to my friends/family for my christmas presents (easiest year of christmas shopping ever!) was marked 'undeliverable as addressed' i think because i had given bees bros my sister's maiden name instead of her married name for the shipping address. bees bros. went to the post office the saturday before christmas (hopefully to drop off some more packages and not just for me), and got everything sorted with them, and the caramels showed up at my sister's door christmas eve. everything else went off without problems, and i've heard nothing but great things about all the delivered caramels (and almonds, and lotion, etc.).

thanks bees bros! i'm a christmas hero because of you Smiley

I had to go down there to drop something off, but I had to stand in the long line to ask the question, but there were several neighbors in the line and some of them knew others in the line and it almost turned into a block party.  One person asked how our bee business was going and everyone else had no idea about Bees Brothers.  Several said they wished they knew about us before they bought all their Christmas gifts, then the conversation turned to bitcoins and everyone in the line got some basic lessons about it. Fun times.

Glad that package made it on time.

Happy New Year everyone!

Small bag of Caramels (6)   $3

It seems that you do not sell these in the bitcoin store section of your website? Infact, it seems they aren't present on your website at all, which is a shame tbh.

I forgot those were not on the website.  We will get those added.
