I think it's the main cause because most BTC<--->USD (or other fiat currencies) trades went through Mt. Gox. Now that people can't withdraw fiat, the demand starts to rise while the supply doesn't cover it. Thus the price rises. Such rise is noticed by people on other exchanges whose main intention is to sell high so the bitcoin price rises at least a bit in all exchanges.

I'm not sure but I think you can cashout to your BTC address but there will be a 10000 satoshi fee used to process the transaction through the blockchain. You can try the, but advised amount then is at least 20000 satoshi. I might or might not test it.

That bug has been fixed. I contacted the script creator and I checked it out for myself. It will inform you and NOT wipe your balance.
