121  Economy / Gambling / Re: Are there any good arcade style games? on: September 02, 2018, 12:42:23 AM
So I've been with bitcoin for a while and I used to like coinflapper (which, for those of you who don't know, was a bitcoin game available from a site of bitplay dot today but the site has a new owner as far as I can tell) you used to be able to enter tournaments and bet 0.001BTC with a top prize of 0.003BTC and a secondary prize of 0.001BTC which was qutie a fun game to play as it was just like flappy bird.

I've swtiched to doing what I was before then and playing a game called alien run from bitcoin aliens but the rewards are tiny and there's no gambling in them so you can't advance the amount you have very quickly...
Are there any good apps/sites for this with arcade-style games for example (regular casino games aren't as fun for me as tournament style games)?

I used to play that one as well before. I think it was just the earlier days because there were no prize pool or competition yet. You just get rewarded depending on how far you got in the game.

There was also Oh Crop! by Loud Panda Interactive. This one was a trend in my country before. I see almost players here back then were from the Philippines. To win you need to defeat the evil plants similar to plants vs. zombie. I never won anything in here tho, they just reward the top 15 players. Requires a lot of time to play since there a re a lot of good players. I'm not sure if they are still operating now. It's a good game and highly entertaining.

Btw, imo Bitcoin aliens for me is just like a faucet and I never considered it gaming.
122  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why gambling is portrayed negatively almost everywhere? on: September 01, 2018, 07:04:36 AM
For me the reason for that is simple because of the addicted, while 99% of the people can gamble responsibly there is a small amount of the population that gives it a bad reputation and as long as people keep getting addicted to gambling then I think gambling is still going to be portrayed negatively all over the world, but as long as you control it then who cares? As long as you can play games like roulette, dice, craps or sports bets responsibly then you are fine.

Personally, gambling is not at all negative. It's just that people tends to get addicted to it and just like any other things, too much is always not good. It happens to the simpliest activity such as watching TV. All needs moderation.

It's just how the human culture view gambling and money. Maybe it has something to do about how religions warns and somehow condemn people for loving money and riches (materialism). It all comes to the point of greed and that is what's not good for humans.
123  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bitcoin Debit cards? on: August 31, 2018, 08:07:56 AM
Anyone using them?Which are the Top 5?

In addition tocthe threads that they've linked here, check this article that shows reviews on available bitcoin debit cards: https://coinsutra.com/best-bitcoin-debit-cards/
They list their pros and cons so it's very helpful.
So far, I haven't tried or used any bitcoin debit card due to it's unavailability of it in my country.
124  Economy / Economics / Re: Please, we should not totally eliminate fiat currency on: August 31, 2018, 06:12:42 AM
From what I have seen so far in this forum and other crypto platforms, most of us want fiat eliminated. But let us not forget that there are still situations whereby we can't use crypto except fiat like in rural places without computers or even internet facilities.
Even with a lot of people wanting to replace fiat, technologically speaking, it's not yet possible. Cryptocurrency might be a more reliable and innovative way of payment but like you said, it is not yet widely adapted on every part of the world.
If it did happen, people like you will not have any problems on accessing it. If it's a currency that will replace fiat, that means it will be available in all the parts of the world even through the rural places.

127  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Bitcoin, blockchain, a technology which is a miracle for the gamblers. on: August 29, 2018, 06:43:59 PM
Yes Bitcoin and other crypto-currencies has made online gambling easier for gamblers than the old online gambling payment methods. people could gamble easily on crypto casinos even from countries where gambling is banned. That's literally an advantage for gamblers.

If gambling is banned in a certain country I'm sure they also banned online gambling. If that's the case, then it's not Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies that allows these people to gamble, it's VPN. AFAIK, doesn't gambling sites also ban/blacklist users from a country which gambling is illegal? I've read somewhere in the forum about this.
128  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to overcome my fear and how to start trading? on: August 28, 2018, 01:32:58 AM
Hi I am just new in the trading, I just want to ask how to overcome my fear in trading and what should I do to start trading. I also want to trade with a short term cause I need to earn daily for my daily needs can someone help me and give some that I used to start my trading now.

First, what are you afraid of? Losing your money? Not gaining sny profit? These two sre inevitable and you should just accept the fact that there is always a risk that comes with trading.

You can start day trading if you need to profit daily.
There is a really good article about it and some begginers questions that is answered in here: https://www.bitdegree.org/tutorials/day-trading-cryptocurrency/

You should keep in mind that with day trading, there is much more risk compared to long term holding so you may want to have a separate money for your trading and your funds for daily expenses.

For me I am afraid that I might do a wrong transaction. I know that gor the beginner/newbies that it is too risky to do the trading. But if I already know how to do the trading then It will not be risky already but I do not know how will I start my trading. I need some advice on what steps should I do to start mt trading and what platform trading is good.

Just make sure that you double check the address that you are sending your transaction to. As for a good trading market, check out binance. I personally recommend this because it's one of the few exchange I use in trading when I feel like to.

There's also Hitbtc, bitfinex, cryptopia for small coins, and yobit ( this site doesn't have a good customer support so beware in using this).
129  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Bitcoin, blockchain, a technology which is a miracle for the gamblers. on: August 27, 2018, 11:17:17 PM
for  a long time gambling was an unreachable dream for the most of the people on earth. until Bitcoin and other crypto currencies were made. not only you don't have to leave your country or house to reach to the luxury casinos to gamble a large amount of money but also by having Bitcoin you don't have to leave your computer.

Untrue. Online gambling has been there even before bitcoin and any other crypto currency was created. According to wikipedia, the first online casino was opened back in 1994, bitcoin came out on 2008.

The main advantage of bitcoin and blockchain is that it makes it easy to deposit funds in an online casino. It's also true that it adds anonimity but sometimes there are exception.
130  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why martingale is PURE SHIT. on: August 27, 2018, 07:16:20 PM
Like I said on another thread here about martingale, the longer you play with this strategy, the higher the risk is and the lower you will get. I don't get why people can not understand a simple explanation like that. Martingale might be fun but it's not something you would want to use if you want to take home some money.

I've found this somewhere:

Quote
The main idea of this strategy originates from the theory that no one can hit a large number of consecutive losing bets, or in other words – that no one can lose all the time.

It's a theory. So why does people bother using it if it does not guarantee a win?
131  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you remember your first sports bet? on: August 27, 2018, 06:33:58 PM
I do remember! Tho I am not a huge sports fan, I enjoy watching NBA and that's when I started to bet on my team. Those were the days when a lot of people here were giving tips on which team to bet so I often bet on parlays. Good ol' days when I always win.  Cheesy

Directbet was my go to back then, because I like the fact that they don't require an account on betting. It makes it more convinient for someone like me who only bet occasionally. Too bad tho that they have decided to close their service last year.
132  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Buying bitcoins by paypal on: August 27, 2018, 04:32:10 PM
This question brings me to another one. Does anyone know trusted service buying bitcoin through paypal? I saw good services, but none of them pays out to PayPal.

I know of
virwox
 - next to localbitcoins, this one has the highest volume so you can easily get a btc-pp / pp-btc trade in no time.
What's good in virwox is that they do something to prevent chargebacks on paypal funds. You can read more if you visit their site.

etoro
 - this one is for non-us. Unfortunately, the btc you bought here can not be widthrawn. It's like a trading platform where you can only trade the btc inside and you can withdraw it by converting it back to fiat.

wirex
 - a very popular option and have a smaller fees compared to others on this list.
downside tho is exchange is not instant. You'll need to wait for days.

and paxful
 - site is very much similar to local bitcoins but with less traders so less offers.

I rarely trade btc - paypal or the other way around so I haven't use any of the sites I mentioned. When I trade I am only looking for trsuted people here in forum to avoid extra fees.

Who's that clown?

It was some "investor" who claims that he knows the team personally.

chirag who was in chat didn't even take the time to talk with me and instead let this guy speak.

Oleg is nowhere to be found on telegram btw, he made a new account after this accusation was posted.

135  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Recent bounty campaigns paying in Ethers? on: August 26, 2018, 09:15:49 PM
Hello, do you know about some recent bounty campaign which pays bounty hunters in Ethers?
It seems to be more profitable to receive Ethers than tokens in these bad days, market is crashing and people are selling everything.

yep , totaly aggree,
if u be a CEO of some project,
the better ways is give the bounty participant ETH as a reward.
because , if u give ur token
i believe the bounty participant will sell it quickly
considering the situation right now,
and that of course, ur token will dropped more than ico price.

On contrary, distributing tokens to bounty participants is a wise move to get an active community to trade the tokens as a start. The more tokens they release to bounty hunters, then the higher the volume it will get once it hits the exchanges.

Giving Ethereum as a reward will not be as profitable to the project team compared to the bounty participants. I believe that the main objective of bounties is to distribute the tokens while they get advertisements as exchange while trying to crowdfund the project. Where will they get the ETH to pay the bounty hunters if they are hosting an ICO to gather funds in the first place? Unless they will pay ETH at the end of the ICO which is reasonable.

I just wish bounties atleast have an escrowed fund to cover for the payments in any case that an ICO may fail or if the coin didn't reach it's original ICO value.
136  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling site access and italian regulations on: August 26, 2018, 08:44:57 PM
You don't blame the Italian government for making this kind of regulation and restrictions, could be that gambling are seriously affecting their youth negatively and putting restrictions in gambling sites are the only way to cut this down. There are also other countries that put this kind of restrictions on gambling. The only way to make this better in the nearest future is for gambling sites to put regulations and run in a way that will favor the government and them.

Why tho? I mean it's a known fact that VPNs can bypass those restrictions/bans so why are they even doing it? I've read somewhere before that the reason why governments restricts online gambling in the first place is because it is not regulated by them. They get nothing from it when their citizens gamble unlike when their people gamble in a local casino. I'm not saying that this is the case but I find it redundant for the countries banning a certain internet operation such as gambling / investing online.
137  Economy / Reputation / Re: Suspicious signature campaign !!! icoforums.net on: August 26, 2018, 06:34:59 PM
Yahoo will only accept the position if the devs and staffs will send an amount inside 1month or 2 weeks payment bu it will depend.  I have also checked icoforums,  with the activity bounty most paid are those who post 100+, and some aren't considered as good posters so in other words they are picky,  and i really bet that the admin of that forum has a huge amount of eth.

The owner of the forum already proved that he owns the wallet that have a 1000 eth in it a week ago. He already have paid a lot of spammers in his forum.
Question now is why is he spending that much in a forum? And how come he have all the money in the first place, yet he didn't hired a responsible bounty manager to handle his campaigns and manage his forum in the beginning?

People need to be careful with their accounts in there. I've seen people who uses the same username registered here and then in icoforums. If the forum turns out to be a scam, I'm sure the people behind it can take advatage of users data and may even try to hack their account in bitcointalk.
138  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: COINSODA.IO [Crypto Exchange + Web Wallet, Blockchain Explorer, Faucet Service] on: August 26, 2018, 04:53:05 AM
Interesting. I'm reviewing your site.

Can I ask why not support ERC-20 tokens which are really known and have a stable price?

Btw, you can only bump your thread once every 24 hours. Please delete the second post and include it in your first bump post for the day instead.
139  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Martingale and Roulette on: August 26, 2018, 02:14:55 AM
I think I had tried martingale just for fun once with tiny amounts of money. It just plain doesn't work unless you have an infinite amount of money.

Most of the casinos will have a maximum bet limit so even though you have an infinite amount, not sure you will win in the long run. Once you lose few times in a row that maximum bet than not sure how long you may need to roll to get back that money. So this method is only good for fun not to make money.

A billionaire could easily bankrupt a casino if there wasn't a maximum bet.  It's nearly impossible to lose 40+ bets in a row so the martingale strategy is sound in theory but the casino limits make it not plausible.

The only casino game I know of that ever had odds over 50% was when card counters used to play blackjack, this has been pretty much dead since casinos added multiple deck shoes.

That's the thing about gambling sites, they are made as so that the dealer will eventually win. That's one of the reason why martingale is a not so good betting strategy in gambling. If you want to win, there really isn't what they called strategy. It all comes to the same ending if a gambler doesn't know when to stop.

In martingale the longer you play, the lesser the chances you have on winning. That means more money that you'll likely lose in just a short period of time. Not at all fun, if you ask me.
140  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: N.Exchange unprofessionalism, ICO might be a scam. on: August 26, 2018, 01:58:53 AM
They now completely ignored my message on telegram and seems that they don't have any plans on paying the contest.
Only response I received from them was another "Hi" yet they are actively responding to other users.
Now it's quite evident they don't have any intentions of paying you. They should have been tagged earlier considering the above investigations. Please send a link of this thread as a personal message to one of the active DT members in this thread. (The Pharmacist/ malboroza/ Vod).

Also share your post on their social media handles: https://www.facebook.com/n.exchange1/   https://twitter.com/cryptonexchange

Thank you! I already asked The Pharmacist and he already left the account a negative feedback.
No one in their telegram group is believing tho since someone is making fun of this and they can't take this scam accusation because they are calling this a "simple bounty issue".

Already shared a tweet as well.

Note that they are fully aware of this scam accusation but chose to not address it.
