942  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Problem transaction fee too low. still don't receive money back!! on: January 12, 2017, 04:24:17 AM
Hello Electrum team/ everyone

I have problem as stated on the subject. Now, I have been waiting for 5-6 days. But transaction is still unconfirmed!. How long I have to wait?
I sent about 0.7 BTC Sad

Thank for help!
Roo

How low was the fee? I recommend using dynamic fees in the future to help ensure adequate fees are used for transactions.

You may be able to help push the TX through by creating a new transaction with the change of the first transaction and including a high fee. This sometimes encourages miners to include your transaction so that they can claim the fee of the new transaction.

Hello

about 0.00001. I did not use dynamic fees bc it warned that transaction fee too high Sad What should I do now? how to create new transaction? I did not have another 0.7 BTC in my wallet now.
You need to wait for all the nodes to drop the transactio so the btc you sent will be sent back in your wallet and only then you can make a new transaction. Next time use a higher fee to avoid having problems with confirmation.
943  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: I sent bitcoins from my electrum wallet and the seller says they did not receive on: January 12, 2017, 03:26:07 AM
Can you provide the txn link of the bitcoin you sent to prove that it was sent to the right address? Can you tell us who that other party you dealt with? We can't help you with the current details you've posted. Honestly, it sounds like a scam already when you said that the seller is not responding on your messages.
944  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Is it safe to join hashflare.io ? on: January 12, 2017, 03:21:58 AM
Similar cloud minings before also shows that similar not secure prompt and right after a week or two that ponzi cloud mining eventually locked accounts and or stopped paying their investors. It was not long that the site can no longer be accessible. It's best if you'll just stay away from any cloudmining.
945  Economy / Lending / Re: ★ ★ ★ LENDING ► CONDORAS SERVICE ◄ ESCROW ★ ★ ★ on: January 11, 2017, 02:24:11 AM
I wish to extend my loan for another 2 weeks condoras. I'll try to repay some of the loan this week if ever I receive some money but 2 weeks should be enough to fully repay the loan. Thank you.
946  Other / Archival / Re: DuckDice.io signature contest! Winner gets 0.025BTC ! on: January 10, 2017, 06:54:05 PM
For the designs what fo you require for the set of designs from newbie to legendary signature or just for full members and up?
The bounty is quite low than the usual signature design contest but some people may be interested to take part in it.
Putting an date for the judgement of design shoul be nice also so we know when to expect to see who wins.
947  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What is a quality post? on: January 10, 2017, 07:15:46 AM
I would rather focus on constructive posts, than quality posts, with correct grammar and spelling for instance. Some people have some difficulty with English, but they can still post interesting and informative posts on this forum. Let me take a simple example : A thread was started about the financial problems in Greece and how Bitcoin is used to help people in that country.

A person living in Greece, might respond to that thread and share their personal experience with the people on this forum. The poster speaks Greek and have difficulty with English, but the information posted adds value to the discussion. Would we rather not receive this information, because the English Grammar Nazi's wants perfect quality posts?

Try to add value and share your personal experience and ask questions. Try to read as much as possible about the topic, before you post, like Lauda has said, to prevent duplicate threads. < Most questions has already been answered before >

Just enjoy the experience. ^smile^
Constructive and quality post imo is similar. The only difference is that when someone says constructive, people think that to be constructive you have to post an essay like or a long post. Quality imo is about the thought you put in the post even if it's justs a sentence or even a couple of words.
948  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Be careful with this tread on: January 07, 2017, 05:10:38 PM
How about admin in bitcointalk.org, is there any action they would do to people who do like this?
I hope we get a lesson from all of it.  Smiley

Forum staffs or mods don't usually take action to stuffs like this. The thread was self moderated so the thread starter has the power to delete posts in his thread even if the posts was ontopic or important to the thread. Just stay away from threads like that if you don't like your posts to be deleted without any valid reason. There are people who does shady businesses here who likes self moderated threads an messin with other people.
949  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Today's Best wallet on: January 07, 2017, 04:49:56 AM
I got a wallet from coinbase as I saw some where it was rated the best. I notice every time I buy some BTC there is a small transaction fee like $2. I also notice the price for BTC always seems to be $15 to $20 higher than what its actually trading at.
The current price in coinbase may differ to what the btcs current price in other exchanges. That 2$ fee charged from your transaction is for the purchase not an incomming transaction fee.
Quote
My questions are, is this typical of all wallets?
No. Coinbase is an exchange wallet. It differs functionality to other clients like a desktop wallet, hardware wallet, paper wallet, web wallets. etc.
Quote
Also I've never received BTC is there incoming fee's?
No. Fee is only charged upon sending a transaction. The sender always shoulder the fee and not the receiver.
950  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Must I do backup wallet after each start? on: January 06, 2017, 12:14:02 PM
Hello. I have a few backups of wallet.
If I DIDN't add(generate) NEW addresses in the wallet, so I could don't make new backups?
I could not fully understand what your question but I am assuming that you are referring about your wallet that generates new address everytime theres a transaction? If my understanding is correct, that wallet of your will keep generating address but that will still be included in the same privatekey so you nly need a single backup for that wallet. No need to backup everytime it generates a new address.
951  Bitcoin / Mycelium / Custom Fee on: January 06, 2017, 08:09:48 AM
Is there a way to set a custom fee in my mycelium wallet? I see that blockchain today has so many unconfirmed transactions so I want to send a coin with a higher fee but once I set it to priority the fee was only 25k satoshi. I wat to atleast put 50k as fee to avoid being delayed in confirmation.
952  Economy / Services / Re: $50 for a Nutella sandwich on: January 06, 2017, 05:24:37 AM
I'll pay you $50 to make me a Nutella sandwich and ship it over to Australia via regular shipping.

Cannot wait, boner up the tit  Tongue Tongue Kiss Smiley
Save yourself that 50$ and just buy yourself a sandwich and a small nutella cream enough for a single sandwich. I think it'll cost you 20$. Plus no hassle.
953  Economy / Lending / Re: Need Loan for Tuition [collateral] on: January 06, 2017, 05:17:55 AM
I have other student loans. None of them have any different collateral.
Student loans don't require you collaterals because they know who you are and it's government provided. Loans here are provided by lenders own pocket so why would they want to require your identity if that is not even worth the loan you are asking?
Ask your family or relatives for a loan not strangers on the internet.
Not all student loans are government provided. I am asking for a private student loan. The lender will knkow who I am.

I hope this guy is never my doctor.

My PhD is in Linguistics.

I can offer some of my Lushootseed tools as collateral. Would that help?
Like a lushootseed analyzer?nah, I don't think that's any of value to lenders here.
 Read this:

What is considered collateral?

Collateral is something that can easily be resold to cover the loan value plus interest should the loaner default on the loan.

- The best collateral is another crypto-currency, such as Litecoin (also written as LTC).  Coins must be moderately traded on multiple exchanges.
- Some digital wares such as domain names can be considered as long as the user cannot recover it.
- Small valuable items that can be shipped though the mail - i.e. gold, silver, iphones, etc.
- Large items, such as a motorcycle or guitar can be used if you live close to the person giving you the loan.  Try localbitcoins.com

What is not considered collateral?

- Items they want to sell.  They don't want it back, so they will default.  It's scammy unethical behavior and will lead to negative trust.  Check their recent posts!
- Items not in hand.  Don't trust a user that promises to give you something *when* they default!  Tracking numbers only show something has been mailed - it could be an empty box.
- Future income.  You can prove you'll make xx coins in the next few days, but nothing forces you to send those coins to pay your debt.
- Identification.  So what if they can prove who they are.  Are you going to spend more money and time taking them to court on untested legal grounds?  You'll probably just walk away, like everyone does.  ID is useless.
- Games codes or similar.  To verify the collateral you need to use the code, which destroys the collateral.  Consider this a purchase, not a loan.  (Post in Digital Goods instead)
- Most new alt-coins or alt-coins that trade for satoshis are not good collateral as they can become worthless overnight.
- Paypal should never be used - they are anti-bitcoin and will rule against you 100% of the time.  Escrow can't even help, as paypal charge backs can come over 6 months later!
- Most valuable online accounts can easily be recovered by social engineering (the user contacting support to say they were hacked, and regain control of the account)  Examples:  Steam

You may want to try btcjam or btcpop bitbond. If you only have your documents. No one can help you here in the forum.
954  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Something wrong with btc-e.com? on: January 06, 2017, 05:07:53 AM
Thanks, jacee and chaser I just tried with a different browser it's fine now. Thank you guys.
I also tried with the browser I was using earlier and it went fine as well.

Checked around and found they were indeed down around 35 mins ago. http://www.isitdownrightnow.com/btc-e.com.html

The only exchange I can't access so far is Coinbase.
I didn't know there was something wrong with Coinbase? Checked it now and it is indeed not working.
Do you know what happened and when did this start? (I better take a look around, see what's going on.)

Coinbase is also working fine in my area.
Btw it's best to lock the thread if you no longer have any question. Smiley

It looks like you misunderstad what a collateral is.

In lending agreements, collateral is a borrower's pledge of specific property to a lender, to secure repayment of a loan.
I am almost getting a PhD. Isn't that enough? I can also give my picture, and the contact email for my advisor for proof of my tuition.
A PhD studet who doesn't know what is a collateral and what not? I don't think so. You are asking too much the worth even if you really are a PhD student.

Your name address and resume does not secure a repayment so it is not a valid collateral.
If you are looking for a tuition loan why not ask the government or something, isn't there a student loan in countries like in US or something?
959  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: i dont understand what is happening on: January 06, 2017, 04:25:37 AM
