1221  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: My crypto/Bitcoin advice. on: October 23, 2022, 10:33:43 PM
Bitcoin has promissory future but yet it's never advisable for  anyone to depend on bitcoin or any digital asset it because of it's volatile nature. Instead risk what you can afford to lose keep it affordable and play safer. The rate of suicide record has pertaining crypto bankruptcy is increasing by the day as we keep getting investors who had to take their lives has a result of wiped accounts

If you are really afraid to depend on bitcoin or cryptocurrency digital assets, you should pay attention to the risks from the start. Cryptocurrencies are digital assets with high volatility and that makes their prices fluctuate. Those who couldn't understand it would lose their yuan very easily. But for those of us who already know what to do, this will be a good opportunity to invest and multiply profits. As for the suicide note rate increasing due to crypto investing, it's entirely their fault. Using the money they still need for the future is highly discouraged, because if they lose there will be no one to blame but themselves.
Crypto is the future for those who understand the digital assets that will affect modern payments. Know the advantages and disadvantages and also the risks that will arise.
1222  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How important are exchanges? on: October 23, 2022, 09:52:09 PM
~snip~
But we cannot deny that centralized exchanges have also brought their fair share of issues, one of the most obvious ones is that now many people prefer to keep their coins at exchanges so they can trade and invest as soon as there is a big news, but this compromises significantly their privacy and the true ownership of their coins, two aspects which are incredibly important and which are disregarded by a great deal of traders now.

About privacy it is the decision of each user. about centralized exchanges of course some of them require KYC completion to find out who their customers are, because this is also to tackle criminal acts such as money laundering and other things. If you want to use an exchange that does not include KYC, you can use a DEX exchange because it is a decentralized exchange that is directly linked to your wallet. Exchanges like Binance require KYC to withdraw a certain amount of assets, but security is guaranteed. But remember once again, not suitable for those who are very concerned about privacy more than anything else..

This means we are going to end up seeing a big increase in 2023 when normally people are expecting it on 2024 or 2025, and that may or may not happen but I am preparing myself for something like that, if I am wrong then all that changes would be me waiting a few more years.

The big increase in 2023 may not be valid yet, but we do have to be prepared for any situation that might happen. I personally have to be ready at any time, a bearish or bullish market can certainly be profitable if I can take advantage of the moment well. The new ATH will definitely be reached, but it's just a matter of time. Remember that Bitcoin has been known and adopted by many parties. And if bitcoins have been mined Bitcoins are getting rarer and the price will definitely be more expensive.
1224  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will you be influenced by your favourite celebrity? on: October 23, 2022, 06:28:50 AM
You might have a point in your first statement but on the last one, we are talking about gambling here and not a usual product endorsed by the celebrity. Since it's about risking money thing, I doubt fans will follow that celebrity even to the point that they will consider gambling.

It also depends on the chosen celebrity as if that person is not a gambling enthusiast then become a endorser of gambling platform, the marketing might not be clicked to the viewers.
I'm shocked that you can say this, don't you know that celebrities are like idols to some fans? Many fans are worse than dummies in practising their favourite celebrities or in following their advice. What is happening on social media these days should have informed you of many things, to the extent that some fans would dress like them, walk like them, use their exact products and even the same apps and bank account. So, celebrities influence their audience more than you think, though some still have their minds.

You are absolutely right about that, because today's celebrity is an example who will influence his fans. Regarding gambling advertised by celebrities, of course, they already have a wider target market, their target market is adults who really like gambling. Even the celebrities chosen by gambling companies are sexy celebrities and have a lot of followers. indirectly it will attract attention with her sexy body and the products advertised. Celebrity lifestyle becomes the lifestyle of his fanatical fans as well.

Franck Ribery Decides To Retire

Franck Ribery, who is a Salernitana player and has played for the team since last season, had to announce that he would retire as a footballer. 39-year-old Franck Ribery will still remain at Club Salernitana as part of the coaching team, but not as a player anymore. Of course this is the right stepping stone. Ending career as a football player and then starting a new career as a coaching team.

The retirement announced by Franck Ribery was also due to the knee injury he suffered, his playing on the field was also not optimal and because of the knee injury that kept coming back.

On the same occasion, Salernitana announced Ribery will join the Salernitana coaching team. He will be on Davide Nicola's staff.

1226  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is regulation really inevitable? on: October 21, 2022, 07:27:47 AM
The government will do whatever it takes so that people do not have full control over what they have, so that the government can make follow-up rules very easily. For example, the government has set taxes for users or companies engaged in crypto. Strict laws will only be made when they (the government) are getting cornered and crypto is growing.
Maybe strict KYC will continue to be carried out on crypto users, local exchanges are now under the government.
1227  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will Bitcoin Repeat History ? on: October 20, 2022, 02:31:57 PM
There are historical turning points every 4 years. It's when the price breaks the maximum of the previous cycle. When that happens, the price tends to go up like crazy until it reaches a new average price.

So yes, it repeats history every 4 years  Smiley
Bicoin history was repeated every 4 years, right. Some forum users have seen these cycles multiple times, while others have yet to see them. I understand that these processes are cyclical, but I still have small internal doubts that this will always be repeated. I admit the possibility that changes can happen and therefore, I believe in bitcoin repeat history to 99%. So far, there have been no drastic changes in this, but who knows what awaits in the future, which is not predetermined. OP must have similar doubts.

it will not be a guarantee the cycle will continue to repeat, but if you look at the first series of iterations, every bitcoin iteration is always the same until now, although there are only a few slight differences and it doesn't really affect it.
This halving cycle every 4 years is the main point that many people look forward to, because after the halving occurs and the halving in rewards miners who successfully add new blocks on the blockchain.
For now, there has been no drastic change because the market is bearish and unstable.

Below is a table of Bitcoin Halving dates, block numbers and block reward changes.
1228  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do You Want KYC at Crypto Casinos During Registration? on: October 20, 2022, 11:27:21 AM
Maybe some casino sites exist that apply KYC only for large transactions and when only small transactions occur there will be no KYC request. it's better than having to implement all the KYC at different levels. there will be a limit on the number of withdrawals that KYC will request. I myself have never done KYC on gambling sites, because gambling sites are just for entertainment and not looking for more profit.
If during registration asked for KYC I will certainly stay away from it.
1229  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: What to do if your Ledger key have gone in the washing machine on: October 19, 2022, 07:20:34 PM
I found it on amazon and it's on sale for $19.99.

I've bought that ~1.5 years ago at around 2.30 EUR from AliExpress. I've checked and even now you can find it at 5$ or less. If you have a bit of patience you don't have to pay 20$ for it, really. (Just be careful and check the sizes).

maybe cheaper for now. I just searched spontaneously and found it on amazon at that price. But about what size you buy is suitable and suitable for use in Ledger nano.

However, if one has the private key safe, the rather unlikely case the Ledger gets wet can be seen as a mishap and a replacement bought. At least it will make an upgrade to S plus Cheesy

For a ledger that continues to be carried everywhere, of course you will need a case like this. and of course a spare wallet that will always be carried. The main wallet will be in a special safe and not to be taken anywhere, because it will be very risky to lose or be damaged. Upgrading to S plus may be possible, if it passes for a warranty claim  Cheesy
1230  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: What to do if your Ledger key have gone in the washing machine on: October 19, 2022, 06:20:41 PM
Consider putting your ledger and other small hardware wallets and usb sticks in a waterproof case so as they don't even get wet in the first place.

Putting it in a waterproof case or using a cryptopod like this might be better, because it is designed for Ledger Devices.
Has Fire Resistant & Waterproof protection.
Made of aluminum alloy material.
Preventing Ledger or hardware wallet damage is better than fixing it.

I found it on amazon and it's on sale for $19.99.

1231  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Leaving your coins on exchanges on: October 19, 2022, 03:47:25 PM
I think it's up to personal reference about it's own money, but the safest is only use the exchange when you're want to trade which mean after you trade you will move your coins to your noncustodial wallet.

But myself who only trade with small money will need to leave my coins on the exchanges until I get a lot money to withdraw the profit. It doesn't make sense if my profit will gone because of transaction fee.

As long as you're only leave small money and you can afford to lose, it's fine.

Small money or big money for someone may be different in amount. I trade on the exchange for no more than $500 and before I get my profit I don't withdraw to my noncustodial wallet. For reasons of fees and of course there is still no profit. I will probably withdraw the profit gradually so that it will accumulate and be able to attract the main capital.
I'm more likely to day trade or swing trade, and I will of course keep a few sets on the exchange first. I use the binance exchange and of course it's safe in my opinion, using google authenticator 2fa and some other supporting securities so it's not easy to break into. Security is then the responsibility of Binance.
1232  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading indicators on: October 19, 2022, 02:28:48 PM
Using and determining trading indicators depends on what strategy will be used. For example, if I want to use the Swing Trading strategy, I prefer indicators

- Moving Average (MA)
For novice investors, it is recommended to use the indicator for SMA swing trading because its application is quite easy. Actually, moving averages can be adjusted as needed, however, the standards that are often used are MA20, MA50, MA100, and MA200

- Moving Convergence Divergence (MACD)
a new version of the moving average (MA). The presence of Moving Convergence Divergence (MACD) allows detection of the trend's tendency to reverse direction.
This version serves as a trend confirmator and can help traders prepare for changing circumstances while also encouraging potential opportunities in stock trading. However, in its application, MACD is quite slow to process data analysis. Therefore, it is recommended to use other technical analysis in order to supports the use of MACD.

- Price Action and Volume
Price action and volume is an indicator for swing trading that shows the highest percentage increase in stock prices. Price action can be understood as the cornerstone of technical analysis. Meanwhile, volume confirms the strength or weakness of price action so that the continuation of the trend can be identified.

For trading strategies such as scalping I use a combination of different indicators.
 - Moving Average (MA)
 - Bollinger bands
 - Stochastic (RSI)
1233  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is it possible to calculate how much the price of BTC? on: October 19, 2022, 01:06:13 PM
So many people owns btc but if there are people who owns large quantities of it then I think it's possible for them to influence the price if they will sell it. They can be called as a whale. Many of us only want's to earn so we buy more btc and then hodl it but there will always be whales which are against with what we are planning. It's kind suck though.

Other than the whales, there is also bear market but I think this one is mostly natural though I think a whale can interfere with it making the bear moves un naturally or making the duration more longer like on what we are experiencing now. They say it was only a 4 year cycle but I don't believe on it.
You have a point, whales without a doubt are powerful enough to move the market, however they have to be opportunistic on their moves, for example if whales tried to create a bullish trend now I think they will fail as there is still a lot of fear in the market and many investors which are trapped and losing money will use an increase in the price to sell their coins, and as such whales will fail in their attempt to pump the price, so even whales need the help from small traders in order for their manipulations to succeed.

Whale groups of course already know what to do when the market is in a bearish moment like now, they already have their own guidelines. Making some manipulations and some FUD will certainly be an option to get even cheaper prices. Whales may not have the full power to influence the market, but they have enough effort and effort to influence the psychology of small traders like us.
The future price of bitcoin can only be predicted and it will also not be accurate. The predictions made only provide a clue and may or may not happen.

~snip~i think Pochettino is very suitable for this team because he know the atmosphere of Premier League while train Tottenham and can make Tottenham to competed along with the big 4 but my question is whether he willing to get this job or not because he has refused several offers from Chelsea and Nice before

Pochettino does have a good record of achievements since coaching in the premier league. Pochettino has a record 132 wins, 61 draws and 63 losses from 256 premier league games. However in November 2019 he was sacked by Tottenham who won only 3 of his first 12 games of the season.

and then he moved to PSG but was also sacked due to his poor performance so that he failed to bring PSG to the Champions League and was eliminated in the round of 16 defeated by real madrid.
Pochettino is currently unemployed and looking for his next role as coach.

But if you say he deserves Aton Villa, I think it's still just a rumour, because United didn't choose Pochettino either and preferred Erik Ten Hag.

With so many other cryptocurrencies, the next ATH ain't happening any time soon unless we burn all those shitcoins to the ground!

Great analogy I will use for Bitcoin here is how to make tomato grow bigger....to get bigger tomato fruit you have to be pruning dead or over grown branches from the plant, which allows for concentrated growth! So same contempt we need all dead coins erased from history and our beloved bitcoin will be on track for its next ATH !!!

credit: luv2garden.com

Burning all the shitcoins I think is still not enough, because shitcoins keep appearing and we can't even control them. About the analogy you describe, I agree and makes sense, there must be pruning to make the tomatoes bigger and only concentrate on growing the fruit. Just as bitcoin needs to cut shitcoins or altcoins that are worthless and don't have any contribution to the market. so that dead shitcoins don't cause bitcoin to be hampered. and the most important thing is fertilizer to keep getting good nutrition, as in bitcoin which requires support from many parties such as growing adoption and other projects that support bitcoin's performance.

~snip~
that's why people always want to buy shitcoins with their BTC, while we also know that there are so many shitcoins circulating in the market and they are also being thrown away to get BTC, for example like LUNA after a problem with LUNA before also made the price of BTC plummet, this is why i never want to buy shitcoin with my bitcoin except with other cold money

Bitcoin is still very valuable compared to shitcoins. People who are willing to throw bitcoins for shitcoins certainly have no plans for their future. They are only interested in the temporary hype. even though Bitcoin is more promising in the future even though the bitcoin price is currently crashing due to many factors. LUNA crashes are only a small part of shitcoin events that also have a big impact on bitcoin. even though LUNA had entered the list of the top 10 altcoins, but in the end LUNA became a shitcoin and is no longer valuable for now, the developer alone is a fugitive from the police. Shitcoin can make a person rich in an instant, but also bankrupt overnight. Don't drop all your eggs in a fragile shitcoin basket, rather use a sturdier bitcoin basket instead.
1236  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: October 18, 2022, 10:16:33 PM
Verona have brought Salvatore Bocchetti to the manager position and tried a change after a terrible start. However this didn't prevent Milan from defeating them by 2-1 away. Now their losing streak has gone up to five games in the league. I can't indicate it like Milan got a comfortable win either in fact. Because they scored the winning goal in the 81st minute which was quite late. If they didn't improve their effort in the second half maybe they could have even lost two points.

Now they are still following the leader three points behind and Atalanta are right between them still. I wonder how long this nice rivalry among these three teams will go on.
They only need three points at the moment and the next game. I think every team wants to score as soon as possible, but it all depends on the opponent and the effort. I think Milan is starting to find a rhythm of the game that hasn't appeared for a long time. The win over Verona at least cut a three-point gap with Napoli. In a competition many clubs were able to make a surprise in the early phases, but they were unable to hold on until the end

AC Milan coach Stefano Pioli admits AC Milan's new signing is adapting gradually and is ready to make a difference, especially going into a week without a game.
AC Milan got the opening prize from Miguel Veloso who scored an own goal in the ninth minute.
Next, Verona had time to reply through Koray Guenter's goal in the 19th minute. Sandro Tonali was the key figure in the Rossoneri's victory in this match, after scoring a goal in the 81st minute.

Victory over Verona makes AC Milan have 23 points from 10 matches. They are in third place in the standings. Meanwhile, Verona is getting worse. They are in 18th position with five points from 10 matches.

Lineup
Hellas Verona (3-4-2-1): Lorenzo Montipo; Isak Hien, Koray Gunter, Giangiacomo Magnani; Fabio Depaoli, Adrien Tameze, Miguel Veloso, Marco Faraoni; Ajdin Hrustic, Simone Verdi; Thomas Henry

Coach: Salvatore Bocchetti

AC Milan (4-2-3-1): Ciprian Tatarusanu; Pierre Kalulu, Matteo Gabbia, Fikayo Tomori, Theo Hernandez; Rade Krunic, Sandro Tonali; Brahim Diaz, Yacine Adli, Rafael Leao; Olivier Giroud

Coach: Stefano Pioli

1237  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Too good to be true? on: October 18, 2022, 04:12:24 PM
~snip~ I strongly agree that it is better to get a small but regular and consistent profit than to have to wait a long time to get a big profit that is not certain to be obtained

waiting a long time for an uncertain big profit is not a good choice. But if the investment yields small but frequent returns this will be a good income. But it also depends on what coins are held. An altcoin that has good potential is certainly a recommendation. It is not recommended to use altcoins that are just hype at the beginning. Bitcoin is the main choice and for altcoins ETH is still the first choice.
1238  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Not all new Projects are bad, So take the Risk on: October 18, 2022, 01:37:41 PM
So i strongly disagreed with the term of " do not invest in a brand new project " to be risk free. A lot of new project has yielded x50
of my investment to me most of the time, What i usually do, Once they're up, i take off with my investment and interest. This is my experiences.
Yes, that's true. I don't also believe in hasty generalizations too. I try to factor in the fact that what works for one may not work for another. I've benefited maximally too from newly launched projects I bought and they performed unbelievably well with ROI out of this world.

It also depends on how hype the project is and whoever enters early will benefit because they will sell early with maximum profit, while those who enter late will only get a loss. I also often follow new projects and some even give profits above 100x but not long after everything collapses. So as you said, what works for one person won't work for another. New or old projects will be equally rewarding, as long as they come in and out at the right time.
1239  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Binance Provides $500M Loan for Bitcoin Miners on: October 18, 2022, 09:39:34 AM
Ethereum's proof of work algorithm was different to that of Bitcoin's, so Bitcoin ASICs could not be used to mine Ethereum and vice versa. Ethereum becoming more centralized with PoS is irrelevant to Bitcoin's hashrate.

In general, ASIC miners are only created for certain crypto assets, so if ASIC Miners are Bitcoin they can only mine Bitcoin.
Simply put, an Application-specific Integrated Circuit (ASIC) is an integrated Circuit Chip that has been specifically designed for specific crypto mining purposes.

ASIC chips used in mining crypto assets are becoming more efficient, with the latest generation operating at around 29.5 joules per terahash.

The most popular ASIC Mining Bitcoin is Antminer S9 which was released in 2016.
and for ASIC Mining Bitcoin the best hashrate for now is:
- Antminer S19, which has a hash rate of 95 TH/s (tera hashes per second)
- S19 Pro with 110 TH/s and T19 with 84 TH/s.
  Other competitors include WhatsMiner M30S++ (112 TH/s)
- Canaan AvalonMiner 1246 (90 TH/s).

https://m.bitmain.com/product/detail?pid=000202208221156311546vFPf4kv06AA

And as we know from multiple studies and reports, the majority of bitcoin mining utilizes renewable energy, the price of which is entirely unaffected by Russia limiting gas exports and similar events.

And about the renewable energy used by bitcoin miners today, it will certainly have a good impact on the environment without burdening conventional electricity, because they already have their own renewable energy source. Like El Salvador, which is intensively mining bitcoin, they are determined to use renewable and environmentally friendly energy. Such as the use of hydroelectric power, wind, solar and tidal water.

The Salvadoran government in September began harnessing geothermal energy for bitcoin mining from a factory at the base of the Tecapa volcano, 106 kilometers (66 miles) east of the capital, owned by a company that is part of CEL (Comisión Ejecutiva Hidroeléctrica del Río Lempa)

The plant produces about 102 megawatts, and the government plans to add another five megawatts next year. Currently, 1.5 megawatts are allocated for bitcoin
1240  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2022/23 on: October 18, 2022, 06:01:53 AM
Barcelona has added several defenders to their squad. I know this. But even then I would say that Xavi didn't focus on his defense. He added players to the squad but did not help them adapt to the team properly. He is more focused on his attack. But he is not interested in strengthening the bonding between the players. The performance will not be strong if the players of the midfield with the defense and the forwards with the midfield are not well balanced. Barcelona's gameplay clearly shows that the bonding between the players in the defense is not good. Their performance is poor due to poor understanding between the players. Xavi is not trying to improve the relationship between his defenders or he has failed.

Xavi is indeed very poor and even became the worst coach in the history of barcelona. In fact, during Xavi's coaching period for Barcelona, this 42-year-old coach had a worse record than other Barcelona coaches in 50 matches. Xavi was only able to make 28 wins, 11 draws and 11 defeats. This is a bad value compared to previous coaches such as Ronald Koeman and Ernesto Valverde.
The defeat of his rivals, Real Madrid with a score of 1-3 made everyone disappointed and made Barcelona management shrouded in doubt on Xavi.
Even this threat of dismissal haunts Xavi, if Barcelona never shows an increase in performance in every match that follows. If Xavi is sacked Barcelona can find a better coach than Xavi.
