922  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin as a trend over other cryptocurrency. on: January 14, 2023, 02:16:56 AM

Other traders and holders are transitioning to bitcoin as it is way safer, but again, in altcoins, if you find a promising one, you can earn a huge profit, but this is a really rare case, unlike before, when most of the new coins that are coming out are all promising and have great value. Most of those top altcoins will be coming back when the price of bitcoin pumps since it is basing from the economy and also bitcoins price, but others will die.

Bitcoin is at the heart of it all, altcoins depend on the price of bitcoin. like now the bitcoin price is bullish again and reached around $21k, this is quite extraordinary, and the positive trend is starting to fill bitcoin.
Some of the new altcoins didn't really thrive in 2022 until early 2023, but 2023 will probably be a year of recovery. The new altcoin only needs to compete with thousands of other altcoins, who can survive will still be the choice, But the safest is still investing in bitcoin.
currently buying and holding some bitcoins for the long term is highly recommended, the bear market is about to end and the bull market is coming soon.
Doing DCA when the bitcoin price reached the lowest support yesterday would certainly be very profitable at this time.

924  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Signs of a better year for btc investors on: January 12, 2023, 11:16:37 PM

There were more discussions on price reaching $20k before the month end. Earlier it looked to be difficult to reach and the positive move reaching above $18000 have made things possible. As said the growth at the beginning of the year keeps the investors happy and invest more. It looks like waiting for the low bottom to invest have missed the opportunity. The growth of bitcoin followed by altcoins too a positive thing and in specific ethereum have shown good sign of growth.

and even now the price of bitcoin is able to touch $ 19,100 and is the highest price for this week. this proves that bitcoin will reach a price of $20k in the near future. The positive trend that occurred this time made the crypto market green again and made several altcoins recover. Expect the market to continue to improve in these months. We've been under pretty much all of 2022.

926  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [POLL] Using AI to predict outcomes on: January 11, 2023, 01:18:16 PM

Anything that can be expressed in numbers AI can process better than humans, so we can say that if somewhere AI is still not good enough, it's only because humans (or automated tools) are not good enough at digitizing some data. If there is some data that cannot be digitized (for example, mood or something like that), then this is also easily taken into account in the forecast simply based on statistics - for example, in women's tennis, which is famous for being more random than men's quotes for winning a set/game, they have a corresponding adjustment.

so based on what you explained, AI still depends on some data that can be digitized and some data that cannot be digitized will need help from humans. AI will help in terms of data processing to make it more perfect.
Every system is not perfect, there will be some weaknesses that require contributions from other systems. AI is only artificial intelligence that can still be engineered, and there will be some bugs that might occur.

928  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What would you do if you get a time machine now? on: January 09, 2023, 02:02:00 PM

Time travel is currently a theoretical concept and imaginary,  there is no scientific evidence to prove  that, it is possible. it is like day dreaming and it only happens in movies & other forms of fiction. However, if it becomes possible during my life time then,I would also go back in 2009 and buy as much Bitcoin as possible. Grin Grin Grin
As a matter of fact, it is not going to happen during my life, so I continue accumulating Bitcoin on every major dip, to reach my target of owning at least one Bitcoin.

Ultimately, it is important to focus on what is happening today and continue working to improve quality of life through consistent efforts.

Everyone was thinking the same thing when the time machine did exist, wanting to buy as many bitcoins as possible when they could go back to 2009.
But didn't anyone think to know who Satoshi Nakamoto was before he created bitcoin? I would probably do just that and want to know who she really is. and I'm also going to go into the future maybe 10 years to find out how much bitcoin was then.

Even though all the imaginations of the time machine are just fictitious and will never come true. it would be encouraging that we can still buy bitcoins cheaply today and hold onto them for the future.

We can create a Time Machine by making long-term investments. buy and hold bitcoin from now on and see in the future, it will be a great investment.

930  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: January 08, 2023, 11:21:39 PM

Wow, I understand refusing PSG (Zidane had reasons to do so), but refusing a Brazilian team that is at the bottom (in terms of results), which means a “rise” is almost guaranteed, is very strange. But in fact, Zidane can afford it - he does not need money or titles, so he can be unemployed for a long time and wait for an option that interests him.
Well this zidane case is very unique ... he seems had a strange interest and a bit moody. He leave real madrid at his peak coaching career & won a Lot of things that time , having multiple crazy offer on the table after that and yet he refused to comeback to coaching for no reason .

He won't in rush taking any job ... he could go anywhere with his track record.

Zidane is indeed a figure that is not easy to predict. Even though there were many offers to become a coach he did not accept them, even the last one was the United States which tried to offer him a high price but Zidane still did not accept it.
Some reports suggest that the reason Zidane rejected many offers is that he is still waiting for an offer to coach the French national team. Still, it seems that Zidane will not have a chance because the French Football Federation (FFF) has extended Didier Seschamps' contract until 2026. France is still satisfied with Didier's leadership as national team coach. France after yesterday at the FIFA Worldcup Qatar 2022, France was able to become the second champion after the match against Argentina.
931  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Factors that contribute to form addictive gambling. on: January 05, 2023, 11:09:47 PM
~snip~It's likely every gambler that chases losses has a problem with self control and overly eager. I wouldn't consider someone chasing losses to be addicted. I'd consider addiction knowingly gambling more than you can lose, and a lot of that is psychologically driven. An addict literally could not help themselves even if they tried and goes through some of the same withdrawal symptoms a drug addict does.

Gambling addicts have no self-control over what they do, and are too excited or too confident that they will continue to win and keep trying even though the defeats keep coming. Instead of chasing losses and believing that he will win when a few defeats will actually make them enter into bigger losses.
But when they have been given victory, they still believe that there will be more and more wins. Those who are addicted are hard to stop and they will realize when the money for gambling has run out. This becomes a psychological disorder that makes gambling addiction even worse. It takes awareness and self-control to overcome this addiction, but it is not easy to be a gambler who obeys his own rules.

933  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Experience with Bitcoin this Year, 5 days and beyond on: January 05, 2023, 04:25:51 PM
It's nice to see a lot of positive news about bitcoin and get bitcoin back on track to continue to recover in price. It's news like this that keeps bitcoin afloat. The more adoptions are made and the more investors come in.

5. In Texas, over 1.5 millions houses got heated through the activities of bitcoin mining amidst the set of winter this season
https://www.satoshiaction.io/post/bitcoin-miners-return-enough-power-to-heat-1-5-million-homes-during-texas-winter-storm
news in Texas, about mining activity in winter which makes it warmer, is of course quite interesting. The bitcoin mining process does not always have a negative effect. this will help reduce the cold temperature in any house mining bitcoins.
934  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Newbies do not be fooled by developers on: January 05, 2023, 03:23:03 PM
Most of the developers who commit fraud are only interested in investors' money. The more that enter, the more money they get. Only with an old project which was then overhauled to be like new and doing a testnet. Brands also usually implement KYC at the beginning to be able to take part in the testnet or some of the airdrops that have been carried out.
Currently projects with Tesnet and running nodes are quite popular, and many new people are starting to follow them. Doing research first is highly recommended, to find out whether the project is really a new project being developed or just a manipulative project. Don't fall for such methods.
935  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Why Bitcointalk is the best forum on: January 04, 2023, 11:31:01 PM
Bitcointalk has survived to this day because many forum members are active and continue to contribute to the forum. Some knowledge about cryptocurrencies and the technology behind them is a support for the Bitcointalk Forum, so that knowledge continues to grow. For more than 10 years this forum exists and until now more and more active users. Try to compare it with other forums in their time, of course none of them have lasted this long. Bitcointalk is the best forum I've ever found and used to date. Generate income for serious users and contribute to it, not just commenting but there are many things that can be done. Successful crypto projects stem from this forum. Bitcoin talk is at the core of all crypto cores.
936  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Today is Bitcoin's 14th birthday on: January 04, 2023, 10:52:43 PM
The main question about BTC for me is how many coins are actually available. People were getting it for completing Captcha and were just buying it a long time ago and lost their wallets or just forgot about them. It seems like that should be a huge number.

The actual available 21 million will not be more or less. But for the currently circulating supply, as said by Op, that is as much as 19,248,459.375 BTC. and for the rest, it is still in the mining process and will be finished mining in 2140. Indeed, not all supply is circulating because there are many wallets that have been abandoned by their owners and become immovable Bitcoin assets. No one can open the abandoned wallet if it does not have the seed key.

14 years have passed, and now bitcoin is a very valuable digital asset and a digital asset that is also controversial but has future payment technology.
937  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: January 04, 2023, 10:02:36 PM
The Newcastle team is very tactical. They knew very well that Arsenal's attack was very strong. And if they play a self-seeking strategy against Arsenal, they have no chance of picking up points. And so Newcastle did not make any attempt to attack in this match. They kept their defense tight and countered Arsenal's attacks. However, several counter-attacks were made by Newcastle players. Newcastle could not have scored points against Arsenal if not for the tactics. I would say that Newcastle's coach has succeeded in this match.
The premier league getting tougher as games passed by, more entertaining games yet to come. Arsenal dominated the game with ball possession, they did everything within their capacity to win the game but it was quite unfortunate to see Newcastle put in so much energy in the game. Their defendline was tough for the gunners frontliners to invade, although they did have few goal scoring chances. The game ended in a draw tie between both competitive team.

Watching the Arsenal Vs New Castle United match was quite exciting with some of the drama that occurred. Mikel Arteta seemed furious with the referee's decision that Arsenal should have received 2 penalties when Gabriel was pulled by Dan Burn's shirt in the penalty box and the second incident was in the last minutes when Granit Xhaka's cross from the left hit Jacob Murphy's hand, but the referee did not give a penalty.
That way Arsenal had to settle for a 0-0 score. But as coach Arteta is satisfied with his team's performance even though he didn't score. Arsenal are still the leader of the standings with 44 points, followed by Man City at number 2 with 36 points and third position New Castle United with 35 points which is only one point different from Man City.

938  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will 2023 be another up year for Bitcoin? on: January 04, 2023, 09:14:10 PM
No one really knows on what would be the next year or in this years situation if we do speak about Bitcoin or entire crypto market whether it would be down or up.Yes, we could really make out some patterns but
it doesnt mean that it would be following those patterns that had been formed back in the past or in previous years. So its a matter of yes or not would be the answer with these kind of questions.
Whether we would really be seeing up or down but lets hope that this bearish run would be over and see up some green candles for this year.Im not really that anticipating or hoping that much
because i do make myself able to avoid on getting disappointed on what the market would really be able to show for this year.Just go with the flow.

just go with the flow and stick to our main goal. Remember that the new ATH has not been reached and currently our position is still far from the previous ATH. It is hoped that 2023 will be a better year with more significant price growth. Expect the bearish movement to end soon and a bullish market to come soon. At the moment, the bitcoin price is still stable in the $16k-$17k price area, it is hoped that this month it can penetrate the $20k price and continue to grow without significant obstacles.
939  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Crypto exchanges charging for inactive accounts . Do you support this ? on: January 04, 2023, 03:23:06 PM
~snip~It is really just too much on having this kind of concept which it is really just showing on how greedy these platform are.
They are making that much money out of those trading fees and they shouldnt really be adding up the burden.

therefore, such a stupid rule that the Op asked about is a rule that will only benefit CEX, but will have a bad impact and be marked as an Exchange that is very greedy and wants more profit. It is not supposed to increase the burden on inactive accounts or even active accounts. The source of profit is only on trading and withdrawal fees, nothing more.
Any exchange that tries this dirty trick will be distrusted and abandoned, and perhaps worse than the distrust of traders with CEX as a result of this FTX incident.
940  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin price, January. $20000 or above possible? on: January 03, 2023, 10:29:37 PM
Bitcoin halving would likely be in March 2024, I may be wrong because no one still can knows the exact date that block 840000 would be mined. But in 2020, halving was In May, but bitcoin still decreased to $3800 in March 2020. This is just price guess, but bitcoin price is hard to predict.

Around March 2024 or maybe if it's just a few minutes or a few hours off the mark. Before the halving occurs, of course, there will be a significant movement in the price of bitcoin, but a few months before the halving occurs, the price crashes, and this is an indication that whales want to get cheaper prices. But this time, is the price under $20k still quite expensive or very cheap? I think this is a pretty good opportunity to start buying and hoping for an increase in price as the year of the halving approaches. Bitcoin is indeed difficult to predict, because there will be many manipulators who deliberately play with the price of bitcoin.

~snip~In any case, 20k is not too far away and it should happen, it would give the year a good feeling and when people see it start to grow, there will be some bad news popping out everywhere by people who hate bitcoin, if market ignores it and grows then bull will start, if people still stuck to them then we will go back down, it all depends how we react.

going into 2023 it looks like prices below $20k are still pretty cheap, and this year could be the year bitcoin recovers to reach above $20k or even $30k. the bear market is still quite in control in 2022, but in 2023 it will probably recover if there is no drama like what happened previously happened.
