Братан, с такой идеей обязательно зайди на https://miningclub.info/, там это оценят.
я давно не видел у нас майнеров с асиками для биткоина. каждый майнер считает шары, и награду получает от количества решенных шар
https://www.nicehash.com/blog/post/what-are-accepted-and-rejected-shares?lang=ru#!

4  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Advice for Liquid Cooling a 420 TH/s Antminer Farm? on: July 01, 2020, 04:16:17 AM
You're should be looking for a custom made bath (stainless steel is best, but plastic is widely used as well), circulation pump, a heat exchanger (liquid to liquid), a heat transfer liquid (low temperature dielectric silicone fluid PDMS -Polydimethylsiloxane, with viscosity from 5cst to 10cst), obviously pipes, and heat dissipation units of your choice. You can use radiators with fans, chillers, pools, adiabatic coolers, or long hole drilled for water. The last is best choice as you get water with 5C temperature in most cases. I found it easier to use a radiator with a fan, and spray water onto radiator, making an improvised version of adiabatic cooling unit. Cost came out to be a half of what I would spend to drill a long hole, but now I'm thinking of going for deep water anyway. This option gives better cooling if you plan to add more hash power in the future and its totally silent. With external fans you get a lot of noise (neighbours will want you die in accident once your noise is over 60dbi within 5 meters radius =)), that's why I had to build a silencing box around it. If you have a pool of sufficient size, preferably with a waterfall, that could do the job as well. Last time I checked, liquid cooling setups in Russia had a cost of 160-200USD per one ASIC, in USA it could be more, as I've seen some companies charge 42000USD for complete setup to cool 8 ASICS. Seriously. Anyway, you should be able to buy everything locally, except PDMS liquid. Its available on Alibaba from China in bulk and small quantities.

P.S. You could also heat your house with ASICs, but most probably it won't be comfortable to heat your house all year long.

I'm also interested in mining DGB in solo, but haven't found any comprehensive guide so far. It appears that DGB developers have made a great effort to decentralise its network as much as possible, but ignored most simple way - let people mine it locally, without pools. I hope that someone will eventually post this missing piece of information for all miners.
6  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: BitCrack - A tool for brute-forcing private keys on: December 17, 2019, 02:27:36 PM
Is it possible to recover a private key if I have 2 files of one encrypted wallet, but with 2 different passwords used and a list of all addresses used by that wallet, many used over a dozen times each? Passwords are 80% known, but I don't take that into account.
7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: tdxminer lyra2z/XZC Miner for AMD GPUs on Linux on: May 22, 2018, 01:39:56 PM
Great work you got there, 3% is a low dev fee when RXs mine together with 1080TIs, the kernel can fit an rx460/560? or is there too much work to do? Wanna mine lyra on the little guys too!

What is the power usage like for RX 570/580? Anyone with some info on this? Smiley

from 120w to 140w per GPU, depending on how much you can overclock and undervolt!

Thanks.  It's nice to hear people are enjoying the miner Smiley

Adding support for rx460/560 with the amdgpu-pro drivers would take some effort, and I'm currently focused on another project.
However, I *think* they should work with the miner as is on the ROCm drivers.  The ROCm 1.8 drivers remove the requirement of PCIe link width for Polaris cards, so typical x1 risers work, but they will need to run at PCIe gen3.
I have not tested any rx460/560 as I don't have hardware available.

I found ROCm 1.8 changes description kind of confusing. For example, I have Haswell CPUs with PCIe 3.0 support, but my motherboards (Asrock BTC 2.0) have only PCIe 2.0 ports and I run 480/580 AMD cards on x16-x1 raisers. Would I be able to mine with tdxminer at all? Thanks =)
8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: CoiniumServ - open source & high performance pooled mining server software on: May 03, 2018, 06:09:35 PM
This software is OK but not really supported. There aren't any real full stack modern open source solutions anymore.  Closest you will get is Miningcore stratum server but there isn't a proper UI for it yet, just some static site with javascript - take a look at my site to see how it looks, but I'm going to write my own custom UI and if you can't do the same I think you are stuffed unless you want to license my (or others) services.

I'm thinking of using this software for personal solo mining needs, testing new coins. If you have a better UI available, please PM me your terms of licence. Thanks =)

@winmkx Could you please add builtin stratum and getwork proxy server? Would make mining a lot more interesting =)

P.S.: most importantly, could you please add/confirm MultiMiner support for mkxminer? This would solve most issues with solo mining.

I'd like to test my mining setup with your coin to mine solo. Does it support getwork or getworktemplate? Can I mine directly to wallet?

Thanks =)
11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's Dual Ethereum AMD+NVIDIA GPU Miner v11.7 (Windows/Linux) on: April 28, 2018, 10:21:32 PM
I've got this weird problem with stale shares rate for quite a while. 5-7% of stales to be precise (up to 10% on a 180Mhs 6 GPU rig at a time). At first I thought it might have something to do with GPU firmware, or process priorities, or claymore (been trying different versions, keep installing the latest with no improvement whatsoever). Tried to get rigs work through proxy, but then it became obvious that direct stratum is fastest way anyway. Network issues are out of question - I run gigabit switches to the router, then to the fiber optic router, and get 79ms to the ethermine pool. CPU load on rigs generally around 2-5%, and I use raisers v.006c (quite standard stuff). Here's my screen https://imgur.com/a/Xf8IDeM

Any suggestions?

If you are getting high stakes then it's most likely the location relative to the pool.

What is the average ping when a share is submitted? It needs to be less than 250ms or you will get very high stale rates since ETH has very close block times.

If your ping is low then the other issue can be your computer. If your CPU is overloaded then it might submit the shares too late and hence give you stales

Thanks for reply, I even gave claymore 'above normal' priority, and it didn't make any difference.

P.S.: will try other miners and pools, to get a better picture.
What if you try phoenix miner. The dev claims that the most recent version gives 0% stales and many users confirmed that. I have not tried myself (also suffering from 5-8% stales). I'm just waiting for more people to confirm before I switch from claymore.

I've tried several things to reduce stales. Direct IP at first was promising solution, but later in evening that rig's stales went up along with other rigs, I guess it was Internet usage peak time for my ISP, although it did show lower stales for other times. I've tried phoenix miner - same eggs, just from the other side. I've tried different DNS server, also no difference since its used only once in a while, then address is cached. Then I've tried different pool with much less latency. Unfortunately that pool doesn't show stales, and I can only count shares accepted. So far, it looks promising, and I think its the only way to reduce stales. Just use your closest large enough pool. I'm only concerned about the resulting latency for accepted shares being different from that server's ping. Ping is 22ms, shares get accepted at various numbers, from 15ms(!) to 500ms, but generally 31ms (not 22ms). Hope this info helps someone.

I'll try it first then. I'm also testing direct IP address instead of website name, rechecked that I'm using fastest DNS servers, tried encrypted VPN with servers in Europe because in my country government passes all traffic through their 'spyglass' servers. So far still getting same level of stales.

Can I solo mine with this miner on AMD cards? Claymore doesn't support gbt.

Would it be possible to add --coinbase-addr parameter support? and miner difficulty as well (-diff)?

19  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: PhoenixMiner 2.8c: fastest Ethereum/Ethash miner with lowest devfee (Windows) on: April 15, 2018, 01:36:07 PM
Guys, both of you are having issues with math, or you're not aware of dual mining. Here's how it goes for me atm: Eth $28,43, Monero $30,22 and Dual Eth+XVG $34. This is real Eth+Xvg profit, not the one estimated by WTM on the number of coins you're "supposed" to get (which would be $37).
You're welcome =)

P.S: not sure why would someone use this solo miner at all, when dual is always more profitable, even with higher fees.

You have issues with the math. 25ish cards should earn you this profit daily, so if you factor the 0.5% devfee, the increased power draw of 40 watts per card, add the additional stress on the GPU, cooling, PSU, fans, heat output, air conditioning - you are basically running at a very slim margin.

When I say "in my case", it means I measured everything, with wattmeter, including power loss in cables. I don't count asset depreciation since my rigs have made 3+ fold profit already. Calculations above actually use same power draw for Eth and Eth+xvg. For Eth solo it should be less, as you noted, but its not much difference in $, since my electricity costs around 3 cents US and I don't use aircon, because its 0 degrees outside temperature =). Hope this clears things up.

Hi,

Is there anyway someone could upload a linux image with this installed? It's quite simple using this http://hddguru.com/software/HDD-Raw-Copy-Tool/

Also interested in a working out of a box version to test this miner.
