Very sorry this was sold to someone else and this offer is gone.
1323  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Win 10 BTC: Guess the price on February 1st (no entry fee) on: January 26, 2013, 04:12:02 PM
I'm betting on $19.32 USD per bitcoin. That number came out of virtually nowhere.

1326  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Left 4 Dead 2 For FreiCoins Auction! on: December 30, 2012, 06:58:05 AM
Congratulations to Vorksholk, FuzzyBear, Bowjob, and all the posters here. This is, to my knowledge, the first marketplace exchange in FRC!

Thanks! I'm a little bit disappointed that I didn't get the first transaction for FRC to goods.. FuzzyBear will go down in the history books!

@Vorsholk, I already have Left 4 Dead 2, any other games?
I could also offer Assassin's Creed II Deluxe Edition for 500FRC Smiley
1327  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Left 4 Dead 2 For FreiCoins Auction! on: December 30, 2012, 06:34:39 AM

Re the trade, ty again for ur kind words and offering, i don't mind sending first either Smiley but i not really used steam b4... i have just set a steam account up for this to accept it.... i'll PM u the username .... but was thinking of sending this to a friend, but i take it i can do that from my account to his once u sent it to me right?? or does it only once have the ability to be gifted?

Anyways send me your FRC addy and i'll send u your 500FRC
When I send it to you, you have the option to keep it as a gift I think Smiley
1329  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Left 4 Dead 2 For FreiCoins Auction! on: December 30, 2012, 05:27:50 AM
And SOLD to FuzzyBear! Bowjob: Sorry, your bid is a few minutes late, however if you would like I'll sell you a copy of Left 4 Dead 2 for 500FRC (same as winning bid) if you want Smiley

Thanks again Fuzzy, and since your a well-known member (>225 posts) I'd be happy to send first. What's your steam name? (You can PM me it if you don't want to post it on public forums) Smiley

I did make it, thank you Smiley

I am using adsense, mostly because I know adsense well xD

have you even gotten any clicks at all from adsense? From my experience it is one of the worst ways to bring in revenue (depends on your niche though)
I've made around $125 from adsense so far from other sources.

1335  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / [Freicoin Solo Mining Guide Win32/64{Easy}] on: December 28, 2012, 11:16:46 PM
This tutorial is quick and easy, and doesn't involve a lot of work.
You will need a few things, all of which can be downloaded in one concise zip folder: www.theopeneffect.com/freicoin/Freicoinsolo.zip
Step 1: Extract the folder. Everything should look like this:

Step 2: Open the folder "Freicoinsolo"

Step 3: Double-click on the freicoin installer. Proceed through all of the steps.

Step 4: Wait until the client downloads the blockchain. A progress bar will popup in the lower-right-corner of the client while it is downloading the block chain.

Step 5: After the blockchain is downloaded, find your APPDATA folder. To find it, press Windows+R (the windows key, between ctrl and alt on desktop QWERTY keyboards) and type "%appdata%" into the run box, and hit enter.

Step 6: Drag "freicoin.conf" from the extracted folder Freicoinsolo to the Freicoin folder in %appdata%:

Step 7: Double-click "stopFreicoin.bat", then Double-click "startFreicoin.bat". After the client starts up and no longer says Out of Sync, click on "Miner.bat".
Everything should work now! If you are mining with FPGAs, edit "Miner.bat" to accomodate your FPGA setup (-S COMx).

If you have any problems, feel free to ask Smiley

Do you have a faucet donation address?

Not currently, I'm planning to fund it based off of the ads Smiley

I have thought about adding advertising to the cryptocoin explorer site, as for the most part I am paying for hosting. (Not to discount the TRC donations, by far the most generous users so far)

Who are you using for ad revenue?

Why did you chose them?

Faucet closed.

Today, I am launching a Freicoin faucet. I find the economic ideas behind freicoin both fascinating and confusing, so I'll try to do my part to get this coin going Smiley
Payouts are currently at 1FRC per round, with rounds being anywhere from 8-24 hours apart (depending on my schedule and funds). I reserve the right to change anything or shut down the faucet at any time.

Having problem:

LTC or BTC QT won't load, says it prog requires runtime to close in an odd way and won't open. Tried uninstalling, but the installer goes straight to that. Thoughts?

Are there any other clients I can try and mine with?

You could try mining with the daemon. Smiley
