You need the aguila ammo.....it is much more quiet than a pellet gun and still goes thru about 1/3 of a phonebook at point blank.  It will not penetrate a wood fence at 15-20 yards.   Have used it for years for critter control.  Only problem I run into on an old winchester pump is that I have to pull the empty out with a needlenose or pry the casing with a thin flatblade as the ejector won't catch those cases every time.  Same on a ruger 1022 as well.   Here is a link:  http://www.ammunitiontogo.com/product_info.php/pName/500rds-22lr-aguila-colibri-quiet-ammo/manufacturers_id/13

I still want the velocity to be close to that of a normal 22. Subsonic is exactly the ammo I need.

Go with .45ACP, its subsonic, and has a lil oommphh to it Wink

i think trying to fire .45acp through a .22lr suppressor would be bad.

Your can is the wrong size, get one thats .45 Smiley

415  Economy / Speculation / Re: Prediction we will hit $7.50 in the next 3 weeks. on: July 23, 2012, 09:19:52 PM
Just my speculation that the bitcoin price will hit $7.50 in the next 3 weeks.

It goes against some people's predictions to see $10 bitcoins. Then again it could go over $10 and come back to $7.50. The market has done wierder things (go to $31 then to $2).

I'm tending to think we will pull back some as well.  The rush of BFL orders has tapered way off.  IMO the jump to 9 was caused by increased BTC demand to preorder ASIC's.  As the rate of preorders slows, the price of BTC will pullback.

Sounds like a ton of btc/usd has been going into mining hardware.

Wouldn't be surprised if a ton of USD goes straight into buying BTC.

Multiple logins were attempted in a personal email account from a Tor exit node and shortly after by an Amazon cloud server (which seems to have succeeded and has been reported to AWS). I am assuming all email data sent to Benjm00@gmail.com has been compromised. All other email accounts do not appear touched. The password is shared, but I only allow one "sensitive" website to use one shared password. My initial assumption is that this is related to the multiple Bitcoinica thefts, but this is certainly not certain. I'm not sure how I managed to let it slip my mind that I used the same password elsewhere. My MtGox account, Bitcoin Wallet, and various bank/CU accounts are not assumed to be at risk unless I left compromising information in my email account. There is currently no assumed risk for Bitcoins being stolen. There is currently no assumed risk for USD being stolen. It is assumed very likely that all information sent to my email address has been compromised, including contact information (which includes Paypal receipts) sent to that email account. It is assumed very likely the attacker has sensitive personally-identifying information.

Obvious security measures have been taken to prevent future attempts. Please do not contact me with sensitive information without using a known gpg key until I have everything locked down and resolved. Please do not assume communications from me are indeed from me unless I have signed them using a known gpg key until I say otherwise.

I will provide any important updates as I'm aware of them. I apologize for any potential inconvenience or damages caused by this.

420  Economy / Goods / Re: Pre-1982 (copper) pennies. on: July 21, 2012, 10:44:33 PM
Actually, you could design and build an extremely capable sorter on the cheap. I would recommend a system that you can fill a hopper with coins, and then it spreads them on a slow and wide conveyor belt. Then, use an extremely high resolution camera and some custom image recognition software to sort them; for those that are showing tails, use a robotic arm to flip them over, and another camera to confirm the data from the first one and read the flipped coins. Finally, use a second robotic arm to pick coins and dump them into sorted moneybags.

The problems with this approach are twofold; you must create or buy the image recognition software, which would be extremely difficult, expensive, or both; and you must also be able to create robot arms that are extremely precise without being too expensive. I would estimate that a reputable robot builder such as GE/FANUC would want to charge you between $50k-$100k just to design and build the hardware (cost numbers extracted from my ass).

Another option would be a high-speed serial sorting system; this would mean that you would have to find out a way to feed coins into a slot one at a time very quickly, and again use extremely high speed cameras and image recognition software to read the dates and other properties of the coins. You would need a camera on either side of the slot, and some way of sorting the output. Output sorting could be achieved with a rotating arrangement of receiving funnels that each go to a different moneybag. Use your imagination.

uh the copper pennies weigh more then the zinc ones..  You don't need any cameras.  A simple wheel that has spots for pennies to drop into one at a time while rotating and two output paths will do the trick..  Its already been done..

Here's a cheesy example:
