I am not sure if this is serious or not, however I am getting a 404 error message when I click the link in your signature. (I had originally thought this was some kind of money pot app or something).

Fixed this, thanks. it was supposed to be https://.

EDIT: AND I NEED TO REMOVE THE WWW AHHHHH

EDIT2: Now it's fixed.

384  Economy / Gambling / Re: 💩 ShitDice - The WORST Bitcoin dicing site around. 💩 on: November 14, 2015, 09:17:32 PM
I think definitely if you want to increase the number of betters in your establishment you need to raise the house edge to 50%.

That'll definitely attract everybody! It's a one-way street to rich city!

I would do that, but logging into github to edit the site is too much effort for a website of our calibre.

In other news, a young bettor stated "that his memes were danker than ever" after this near miss:

https://www.moneypot.com/bets/163760028

And especially after this near miss:

Does it come with the 100% safe strategy to get rich in 200 rolls? Or maybe the super inverse martingale, you cant lose with that one.

It does come with the 99.99% safe strategy to get poor in 200 rolls, I mean, come on. We are the best at providing shit services for our customers.

Glad to see you labeled your axes here, lol.  Thanks for the laugh.

Damn. I have failed in making my services as shit as possible.

Main thread

Inspired by other good signature campaigns, we are introducing:

The ShitDice Signature Campaign

Do you dislike actually getting paid good money for your signature advertisement? We have the solution for you! On the 30th of every month, if you are enrolled in the signature campaign, you will receive 1 fresh dank meme hand curated by myself as payment for your efforts. That's right, ladies and gentleman, the man himself will be giving you a fresh dank meme via PM.

If that's not the best thing around, I don't know what is! We don't even discriminate against other user ranks like other racist campaigns do, we treat you all equally!

Proof that not only do we listen to user suggestions, we are astoundingly popular:

Of course, I'm only listening to your suggestions, I won't actually do any of them. Only the shittiest for our customers.

Since Patatas asked for a sig, heres my totally innovative proposal:

Thank you for your truly amazing proposal. I will soon bring the shittiest signature campaign to Bitcointalk.

Together with marketing experts i conducted,
I've found out that your recent developement follows the very unique, yet unbeliveably promising "Elephant Bubble".
It's a theory we found out on our own, and it's not yet very popular, but we can promise you 1000% growth by 2045.

Amazing work by an outstanding member of our community. Unfortunately I can not give you any Bitcoin as a reward, because after seeing this graph I spent all of my money on cocaine and hookers in a binge of ecstasy.

NEW INNOVATIVE UPDATE:

Using our advanced graph simulation techniques MS Paint we have created a new graph to temporarily grace the background of ShitDice:

We hope you enjoy it.

Signature campaign

In a process similar to reproducing like rabbits, in the same way that the altcoin section was filled with cheap coin clones, we bring you, a perfect, masterful, and amazing satirical art piece:

ShitDice

We know that this is the 50th directly forked clone of Untitled Dice that has been seen in the gambling section, but we're different. Pinky promise. Like, we have sooo many features that all these other cheap clones don't have. You get me?

RAVING REVIEWS:

This is the killer app Bitcoin has always needed to reach mass adoption. I can see it now. ShitDice will take Bitcoin into the mainstream. Thank you for your contribution Diamond, you are the hero we need.

Still better than primedice and just-dice. Cheesy

ShitDice has most definitely fairly taken my money away from me. I will definitely play again, and again, and again.

AND THAT'S ONLY A FEW OF THEM!

Check our features out:

  • An innovative A dice script that we cloned from an open source project
  • A faucet that we don't pay for at all that every single clone of this dice script has
  • You can get, like, 2 bits per use. Use it enough times and you'll be able to afford a 99 cent cheeseburger from McDonalds.
  • BUT WE HAVE A BACKGROUND. I MEAN, THAT MAKES US UNIQUE. RIGHT? RIGHT???
  • memes
  • Did I mention we use Bitcoin? woo freedom
  • OH YEAH, WE USE MONEYPOT. Pff, not for you twats to have convenience, all we want is to be able to make money off of you without any risk.
  • ULTRA LOW 1% house edge. We put a lot of thought into it, and, eventually, we made the hard decision to use the default option because changing it would be too hard. All of our competitors have an equal (or lower if they're poors) house edge, but you know that a higher house edge is better, right?? RIGHT??? (just pointing out here this is clear sarcasm before I get negative repped for this)
  • WE CYCLE THROUGH MEMES MULTIPLE TIMES PER DAY. OR HOUR. OR MINUTE.

We're so unique shit, that we even decided that we are too good to buy a domain. Just to help our competitors out a bit to stop them from being absolutely crushed by our superiority, we decided to use a free github.io extension. If you aren't already salivating at how good this dice site sounds, you must have something wrong with you.

We're even open source, just like the dice script that we ripped off of. That's right, you can get all this shittiness for yourself! Suckers.

Ready for some shit?

Come to https://shitdice.github.io

Note: This, and the site, is satire. In fact, the whole thread has become really funny and I suggest you read it! It's a parody of some of the useless Untitled Dice sites you have seen pop up recently in which the only "change" has been to add a background. It's more of a form of art than a gambling website. If you really want to gamble on it or even just chat to me about the joke, you're free to, but you're probably better off going to a site with a lower house edge. Wink

MoneyPot is a great service, I'm not taking shots at you! Just the people who think Untitled Dice is genuinely for making sites rather than just as a test.

Also, one ShitBit is the exact same as a bit, don't worry. Wink
392  Other / Meta / Re: Wow, you can buy positive trust for 0.0301btc on: November 14, 2015, 06:20:43 PM
I'm glad that this is actually being seen and caught by the community, at least, so a stop can be put to it quickly. Way before CITM got removed from depth 1 I pointed out multiple times the absolutely ridiculous trust list he had and it still took a veeeery long time for people to catch on. That has to change.

If someone is seen doing stuff like that, they should be told to stop, and if they don't stop, they should be removed from DT. Simple.
393  Other / Meta / Re: Wow, you can buy positive trust for 0.0301btc on: November 14, 2015, 06:09:33 PM
This is one of the problems I see with the trust system sometimes. If it's a one-off purchase for such a small amount (here it's under $10, come on), for something as insignificant as an eBook, where the user also went first...that doesn't warrant positive trust, you don't actually trust them highly due to that, do you?

That doesn't mean you need to even trade with someone to trust them, but just because you did a damn sale to them where they went first for a pittance anyway doesn't mean you need to give them positive trust.
394  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: lost btc on: November 14, 2015, 02:55:32 PM

That transaction is quite old though, it happened days before the transaction in which you said that your BTC got stolen in...I don't see what you're trying to say here to be honest man.
395  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: lost btc on: November 14, 2015, 02:39:41 PM
If it was actually stolen there's not much you can do about it bud, it's going to be extremely hard to find whoever the person who paid you the BTC is and the fact that Bitcoin is irreversible means that unless he sends it back to you himself there's no way to get it back. Luckily it's only around $8, just take it as a lesson.
396  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: ● Why Bitcoin is Not Mainstream Yet & my Suggestions! ● on: November 14, 2015, 02:37:29 PM

You have no source for this.

Really then what about the last hacks and DDOS-es of the forum. The price went down immediately after.

That's not a source that says Bitcointalk is the biggest influence there is on Bitcoin.

And then what? We "market" Bitcoin and make it look like a Ponzi scheme? Do you know how dodgy it will look if suddenly this PR team starts pumping Bitcoin out of nowhere?

So you basically admit that advertising is useless and it has never helped anything?

Do you really think that a competent marketing team cannot promote bitcoin it a normal way?

Whats with all these ponzi scheme arguments. You youself degrade bitcoin by this, because you also admit that bitcoin is a ponzi scheme by saying this.

We market bitcoin as a new form of currency, and tell the truth only. There is nothing shady in telling the truth. It doesnt have to be misleading in any way.

No I don't admit bitcoin is a ponzi scheme, it isn't. What a ridiculous argument, trying to put words in my mouth. I said that getting a marketing team to promote a cryptocurrency not your personal investment would make it look like a scam (ponzi scheme, pyramid scheme, etc). It's very easy to make an uneducated person think Bitcoin is a ponzi scheme, even though it isn't. And I don't think we need a PR scheme for simply promoting it like the people who use Bitcoin already do.

These are not the best tools. That's like saying if you have a problem with Judaism you should kill the entire race because it's the best option aaaaaaaand just like that you're Hitler. Granted, it's an extreme example, but your point is kind of silly.

Thats a very fucked up response,I wont even respond to this.

Okay.
397  Economy / Gambling / Re: Primedice.com | Most Popular & Trusted Bitcoin Game | Huge Community | Free BTC on: November 14, 2015, 02:32:29 PM
True about the odds being the same, but its not the same as if the player chooses to play somewhere else. If YOU choose to play somewhere else its your choice, if pd chooses to change seeds it is not.

There is a somewhat esoteric scenario where the casino could use seed changes to maximise profits. Imagine there would be only one high stakes gambler, that does say 100 rolls on 9900x at 0.00202020 (max bet) a day and would hit it after 2 rolls on the next day. Since the casino can predict the behaviour of the gambler and knows the unhashed seed and so knows that it will hit soon they could change the seeds just in time. They wouldnt know if it hits after a few rolls on the new seed (since client seed can be changed by the user) but its would be a  good gamble on behalf of the casino.

I am far from saying something like this is happening, pd has way too many players and those have usually a rather unpredictable behaviour, but since the outcome of a series of rolls is changed due to actions of the casino one could very well argue that this is a little counterproductive on claiming its provably fairness.

Again, I think nobody believes pd does the seed change for reasons like stated above, but its a hypothetical scenario which would likely work on smaller sites with predictable high stakes gamblers.

Yes, it wasn't the best example, but the only difference here is that it's essentially forced. If the other casino has the same house edge as PD it would essentially just be a difference in seed as well.

That situation is only viable when the casino has an invalid implementation of provably fair verification, though. It's happened before but I don't think a casino like PrimeDice is going to do it, perhaps smaller casinos might. I know you obviously aren't accusing PD of this, but getting mad about a forced client seed change is equivalent to those people who believe PD is rigged no matter what despite its size Tongue
398  Economy / Services / Re: Signature Design Contest - BitcoinBlackFriday.info - 0.2 BTC Prize on: November 14, 2015, 02:17:49 PM
Generally you know that once roslinpl has posted a signature design in one of these threads you generally don't stand a chance Wink Amazing designs man, very well done. I love your v2 designs, the use of the symbols are perfect (like in the Bit-X signature).
399  Economy / Gambling / Re: Primedice.com | Most Popular & Trusted Bitcoin Game | Huge Community | Free BTC on: November 14, 2015, 01:09:28 PM
The outcome of my game is changed, that fact cannot be denied.

True.

I do not disagree that the odds remain the same. I am totally with you there and this could indeed be a blessing in disguise considering the extent of the variance I am currently dealing with. When the seed does get changed and I run verification and notice that my target was 10 rolls away or something, there is no denying that it will leave a bad taste in my mouth. I'm by no means trying to imply that this is being done for nefarious reasons or anything like that. I hope you can understand the feelings of me and others on this subject who undertake high-payout runs slowly over time.

Your odds are statistically the exact same, like you said, and your chance of getting a winning roll is the exact same with the different seeds whether or not the outcome is actually going to be different. That's like gambling at another dice site and then being pissed off at that dice site because you didn't gamble on PrimeDice.
400  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: ● Why Bitcoin is Not Mainstream Yet & my Suggestions! ● on: November 14, 2015, 01:01:10 PM
Ok but BCT is currently the biggest influence there is, this might change in the future if other forums take over, but currently this is the stance.

You have no source for this.

Again you dont understand my words, I dont say that marketing is crucial, I`m only saying that it can accelerate bitcoin's growth, so why not use it?

And then what? We "market" Bitcoin and make it look like a Ponzi scheme? Do you know how dodgy it will look if suddenly this PR team starts pumping Bitcoin out of nowhere?

Do you prefer using campfire or oven? Washing board or washing machine?

Why not use the best tools available to help bitcoin? Why waste time and energy?

These are not the best tools. That's like saying if you have a problem with Judaism you should kill the entire race because it's the best option aaaaaaaand just like that you're Hitler. Granted, it's an extreme example, but your point is kind of silly.
