221  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Yiimp mining 2 different coins with the same algo on: August 31, 2019, 06:29:29 AM
m= and mc= are pool options to be specified in password field. Your miner is not supposed to interpret or support those.

This is the relevant answer... for those who are interested.

To understand why yiimp picks one coin over another on the same algo, requires following the code, to see what sources and data it uses in each instance.   Compare, and understand its result.   There is no simple answer for this part of the OP's question.   Its been a big question for a long time, and it's complicated to accurately fully describe without writing out a flowchart of the code.

*edit*

mc= just allows you to manually select which coin you get served workunits for....
222  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Number 9! Ninth altcoin thread. Back to the moon Baby! on: August 25, 2019, 05:09:25 PM
...

My worries would be my sales of gently used gear to people in the USA and occasionally europe.

FWIW most of what I traded you came from zpool mining, or potentially from a yobit sig campaign payment;  but most likely from the main zpool wallet.   They use auto-exchange when mining to pay in BTC, so who knows what coins from what exchange.  99% of what was obtained from yobit has already been sold on gdax or otherwise.

The FED is pretty retarded in this whole ordeal...   They are digging quite a substantial hole.
223  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: IT xmr Miner - background miner for home and bussiness on: August 22, 2019, 03:16:32 AM
I know, i am new in the community.
Dont understand why bypasses security features? if you can explain to me?

I spect some heat about my project i know that.
Thanks for your participation.

sorry, I understand it must only be run with admin priv;  that itself raises concerns to me as it must be doing stuff in the system....

This is what I was really meaning by saying "bypasses security features".
224  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: IT xmr Miner - background miner for home and bussiness on: August 22, 2019, 02:25:32 AM
10% devfee, new user, software bypasses security features...

I'm sure someone may have a use, but IMHO the devfee, and the fact it bypasses security features throws up too many red flags to count...

Good luck poster.  I'm sure you won't be banned (unless you break the forum rules), but expect veterans such as myself to voice concern in regard to the above paragraphs.   Expect some heat when putting your feet in the fire.
225  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Number 9! Ninth altcoin thread. Back to the moon Baby! on: August 20, 2019, 12:35:27 AM
I have been doing lots of tax research on this and can tell you if you are USA based and move your coins around multiple exchanges and accounts you may end up with an insane amount of paperwork for very little profit
We're so free it's amazing..  for a system the IRS admits is voluntary  Roll Eyes

Voluntary is a word right at the beginning of the tax code itself...

FYI there is no law or statute that requires you to pay the Federal Income Tax...

There's only provisions in the tax code itself  (that is written by a private entity) that give disciplinary actions for not following that very same set of codes/rules.

Enforcement by the FED is done in a manner fitting a RICO charge.

Ok, got to the internet hub and updated my business laptop.

Compiled and uploaded 2.10.7 again on my laptop;  released as "VS2019" release.    Give it a whirl for Ryo and the other cryptos that were having the issues;  If all goes well;  let me know and ill keep up with the 2019 releases built from my laptop.

Cheers!
227  Other / Meta / Re: [POLL] The Official Troll Poll - voting ends 8/21! on: August 18, 2019, 10:32:13 PM
Only 2 more days to go! Get your votes in now!!

You know what? We totally forgot about gembitz.

He's really only a medium energy troll, and there's no way he would ever win the poll, but its funny how he slipped all of our collective minds. He goes around trolling just about every major coin under the sun while promoting his almost non-existent Bitcoin Instant, ending every comment with his signature catch phrase, "weeeee!"

Here's what he had to say in a negative trust left for Vitalik Buterin:

Quote
missing ===> 1337 coins because lack of communication, i tried every way to make contact... <_<

I think the current results speak for themselves TBH....

TOAA takes the cake any day of the week... just look at any one of the pages of his history....

Ok, they're Scythe UltraKaze fans, 0.6A @ 12V.
Got 6 of'em to hook up, think I should use two molex connectors or will it be ok to daisy chain them all on one?

3 seems reasonable;  thst's still well under 200w....  should be fine IMHO.
229  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Number 9! Ninth altcoin thread. Back to the moon Baby! on: August 14, 2019, 03:30:56 AM
With  no tweaking or turning it does  1090-1125 for xmr    running at 67%

this is it with 2 1660ti

https://old.nicehash.com/miner/1JdC6Xg3ajT3rge3FgPNSYYFpmf53Vbtje

I have been busy have not tested it much the last day.

But  It is a  better then the threadripper 1920x

It uses 2.4 kwatts a day to earn 45 cents.

while that seems poor it is turning a profit of 21cents  I think  the new fork will help that alot.

What miner app are you using out of curiosity?

Hi.
I am new to mining.
XMR-stak-JK_2.10.7 can be configured for double mining? If you can tell me how.
I want to mine with CPU: XMR, with GPU: ETH.

You will need to use your regular ETH gpu solution....

for CPU;  just run xmr-stak, let it auto-config itself,   then close it.   Go in and edit nvidia.txt/amd.txt and comment out/delete the threads for the GPU's (see examples found by reading this thread's history as it is in there).

Now it will only use the CPU.

I wanna bask in what remains of my stay here =)

I guess he's still basking longer than usual.   Roll Eyes

yep, been non-stop busy handling all the things that fell apart while away from home.  I'm finally taking a day for myself, hopefully Ill be up to getting it compiled tonight.... but I wont have it compiled on the updated VS, or CMake, ill be compiling it on my already configured remote machine;  I need to get myself to a good internet connection to be able to download and install the newer apps on my laptop.

Give it a day or two longer.  Ill get it done.
I guess he is still non-stop busy handling all the things that fell apart while he's away from home!!! Huh

Yeah, dealing with the day to day stuff is tougher given my disability....

but alas, I just finished compiling it, and its updated in the first post.   Hopefully I didn't forget to include the required DLL's again.

Thanks for the patience guys.

Ill try to finally get out of the house in the next day or two (hopefully today if my body is up to it) and will get VS2019 and the new cmake installed on my workstation laptop;  attempt a recompile for the ryo guys who had issues with the last build.
232  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BUBBLE || alpha software in testing demo up big news on: August 10, 2019, 02:39:22 AM
I actually loved the idea of bubble being less of a coin, and more of a platform if exchange (of all things)....

If I still had coins on yobit (and they didn't destroy my trust) I would have still been scooping them up and actively trading...

Let's not throw the baby out with the bath water; don't leave trading Bubble because of Yobit. I have a core team of 20 buyers who are supposed to be buying with Bubble, but only 2 have been brave enough to re-enter the fray because there is too little liquidity.

If people like you start trading Bubble again, it will help us with liquidity, and I will be able to convince the core team of 20 and indirect team of over 100 people to get their backs into it.

If you can contact the guy who tried to clear the sell wall the other time; tell him to stop selling off until we get a rythm going. Even at that, a slow sell-off favors us all. If this small focus group becomes established, we will then get hundreds more dabbling into Bubble coin with some eventually HODL.

The problem is exactly yobit...   I have a horde of coins in a wallet on the network, and can not move any to the exchange to do anything with...   I can not afford to spend anything on coins;  so I am stuck in the position I am in.

I am actually making more coins staking than I was trading over the last year.

*snip*
If you ever need KYC on the sales to me in the past, you got it in spades;  you can rest assured in that... I feel confident in giving any personal info you need.

I'm still speechless on all of the taxation...  from all aspects.

This is looking worse and worse when it comes to anything dealing with the FED;  and this is one way they can try and maintain a chokehold on the masses for their crown seat at controlling the value and 'money machine' of the states....

There's a long poem about taxation from an unknown author that comes to mind right about now...

"Tax his land, tax his wage, Tax his bed in which he lays. Tax his tractor, tax his mule......" Reference to avoid a silly ban....
236  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Number 9! Ninth altcoin thread. Back to the moon Baby! on: August 03, 2019, 04:32:50 AM
thats pretty hard to hear Phil... you have done so much for the community and more.

See if you can find a lawyer that will do a quick consultation and consideration if the IRS's demands are breaching on ex-post-facto....

because;  there was no other regulation scheme on these commodities;  only regulation on the exchange for cash.

It's like beginning a tax on ice, and charging people for every Lb they made or acquired and traded over the previous 1-2 years just because they decided to implement a tax now.

I wonder if everyone that bought an AMD/Nvidia GPU will have to pay a hardware tax because it could be used to mine crypto;  not caring if they did it or not.

At least, this is exactly how I see it.
237  Other / Meta / Re: [POLL] The Official Troll Poll - voting has begun! on: August 03, 2019, 04:28:18 AM
The sad part is, there is no troll`s in this troll poll, just morons that are actually just morons.
Quite the contrary;  I have seen mostly legitimate members sharing real information....  and the few ranting quips in between.

Besides; its meta we are talking here.
238  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BUBBLE || alpha software in testing demo up big news on: August 03, 2019, 04:12:48 AM
same sentiment.

PM me a bubble wallet address;  Ill send you 1k to stake.

It ain't much;  but its something.

If you wanna send some BTC for it afterwards, that's your prerogative, but id like to not be one of the only 3 doing it Wink

I will send you an address, though my wallet simply refuses to sync (perhaps you could give me some directions), after which I will send some BTC.

Going through the other thread you put up while my team were slated to begin another round of significant transactions with Bubble today, I now have certain reservations I need to clear up with you. Firstly, what is the actual maximum supply of Bubble? Secondly, are we sure there are only 3.8 million coins? At this point, I do not mind just freezing my investment in the coin ( I am not the 7.5BTC guy) while things clear up. I am seriously thinking my team should just go with the other coin we also promote on and off. I was thinking today's transactions would take Bubble from 55 sats to 300, but para.. is looking like a better candidate.

yeah, theres a trick;  you gotta add the nodes;  then it will sync right up... we keep getting more on the network surprisingly... so hopefully that will be a kick in the pants to mick to get more progress done.

FYI;  check my sig...   if you havent already.

A bunch of that 7.5 is the padding of yobit's bullshit in my opinion;  but did you notice it going offline right around the time you started buying?

Heres the scoop for getting it set up properly:

completely close the bubble client.

go to C:\Users\[USERNAME]\appdata\Roaming\Bubble

create a file: bubble.conf with these contents:
Code:
addnode=98.28.193.120
addnode=73.38.41.211:3665
addnode=76.180.145.102:3665
addnode=85.25.199.215:3665
addnode=75.130.163.51:3665
addnode=68.184.180.69:3665
addnode=151.80.42.180:15716
addnode=47.35.228.146:15716
addnode=75.138.192.59:15716
addnode=97.93.29.195:15716

(Those are all of the major nodes that have been found by me or announced over the time I have been active with BUB investments.)

delete anything found in the \appdata\Roaming\Bubble\database folder as well

restart bubble and wait;  should sync up.

you could manually add the nodes in the client;  but they wont save if the client restarts.... so the .conf file is the best bet.  Took me a while to figure that out initially many moons ago when I initially got into BUB.

If it gets stalled at the same percentage for a full day or half a day, delete the contents of the database folder and try again.   On one machine it took me multiple tries to get right.  The last 1/4 of the syncing takes quite a bit longer... so give it time.. it will happen.

If you go into the "Receive" tab, you can see the address you have generated and PM that to me, Ill send 1K coins to you to stake.... so at least you can participate in supporting the network until YoBit quits their BS.   As long as you never delete your wallet.dat from the appdata\roaming\bubble foolder;  you will always have that address.    Make a copy of the wallet.dat, zip it up, and store it in a safe place.   This should be habit working with all crypto wallets.

But the whole thing about yobit in my sig;  there is no way in hell bubble did 10K coins of back and forth legitimately.... it does not make an ounce of sense considering the coins movements throughout its history...    and the offline wallet is pure bullshit 100%;  there is no excuse for it being offline being such a nasic coin/wallet and the same shit they set up and configure regularly when they add the crap like YO coin and all the hundreds of others that are found nowhere but there.   They are retarded to keep it offline the way that they have.... and I will maintain my stance on them until they find a way to right it and other things that I have noticed over the years.  I would imagine someone spending .01 will make them want to fake 1.0 to try and sucker more people with volume.  I believe they use a random number function to hide their fake buys and sells now.  Before it was obvious when they were putting up and selling to their own fake orders;  instant type of shit, just enough to get the ticker to flash green on the sidebar.....

I wonder what it would take to get BUB listed on CryptoBridge....    it would be like a marrying of two decentralized exchanges in a way... not a bad idea IMHO....

I know the initial creator of BUB sold/transferred to mick;  and was the one who paid initially to list on yobit.
239  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: YoBit's Fake volume on shitcoins, among others on: August 01, 2019, 02:03:20 AM
zzzzz.. Nothing new, every big exchange has been faking volume and now they all like to create their own coins for easy money.  Binance coin really has no purpose except to make the creator more money.  All these exchanges have on thing on their mind and that is money.

Well to this point;  I had seen nothing substantial on their end;  aside from before when the fake pumps were obvious being buys/sells that were below the minimum their site/API allows....  plus on those coins the total in circulation/premine was in the tens of billions or more... so its hard to prove that it was actually fake.

Being that kind of volume on Bubble in one day;  I myself knowing (through conversing shortly with one of the main buyers) that the volume is fake;  and the statistics easily show it... I can actually say for certain they are dishonest.

I did carry their sig before;  because who wouldn't want a free .0003 for every post here... I mean, back during the craze, I was posting my scripts and helping people out constantly;  $1.50+ per post is no small amount...    and even then I was a deep advocate of being careful with them and not recommending them for any reason other than the free coins they gave out now and then that actually had some value.

The moment I posted here that they gave out .01 ETC on the actual real network (withdrawable) every 24 hours;  it was easy to stack up a few ETC and even use it to sell and buy more in a few days time in order to withdraw into a personal wallet.    I think I ended up with nearly 3 ETC for free before putting a halt to it... and they disabled the freecoins hours after my public recommendation here to 'get what you can while you can'.

In the past;  most of the people screaming of scam were victims of not doing research, or worse, shady browser plugins and depositing ETH tokens, or depositing things like ETH to ETC wallets, or things like fake telegram groups and erroneous crazy 'deposit first' requests to the likeness of the cryptual scams.   I remember one guy was adimate about them being a scam because he sent 50 ETH to an ETC address....   And would not own up to his own mistake;  acknowledging that he did indeed fuck up, but they are scammers because they would not refund him his 50 ETH.

This is pretty damned close to concrete;  short of YoBit releasing a list of the buys/sells that were taking place....   They simply were just adding volume when a dying coin would show some life.     I started getting that feeling when building up my amount of ~20K coins;  because unlike most, I actually liked the idea of what Bubble was supposed to become....    Until CryptoBridge came along, and actually put it out there as a working product.  So far, BUB and it's companion siraj has been sort-of a slow wash.   Which I whole heartedly accepted the fact it could fail;  as I did not invest what I could afford to lose (I invested a small fraction of my sig payout) and doubly I did not put anything into yobit ever, except once,  back when BTC was worth <$250 I deposited .01 to buy some NKA at .00000001, and ended up selling of at .00000008. (knowing they were in an offline wallet, and it was my gamble to take)

Today, I only use GDAX; and when I need to sell anything like XMR;  I use Poloniex if there is no alternative on cryptobridge which I used for RVN sales (I like the anonymity of them purely for my long term cold storage accounts that nobody has any business knowing the contents/values of);  but I never, ever leave anything on those platforms.  I always smell movement, and transfer in;  if movement doesn't happen:  I promptly withdraw as a double TX fee is no loss in my eyes.  On coinbase, the most I will ever consider leaving in their trust is .5-1.0 BTC.   My entire portfolio with them for instance is only $560 USD right now.

Anyone else that can add to the list here of evidence of fake volumes, please do.

If anyone here has any correlations/links between Yobit and other crypto agencies/persons;  I am all ears.    I want to see some sort of repercussions for them acting in such a dishonest way.  I bet others do as well, I just hope for the proper reasons.
240  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: XMR-stak-JK 2.10.6 Compiled with no devfee (Updated: 2019-7-23) on: August 01, 2019, 01:45:59 AM
Ill give this a shot when I get home;  I just hope that it doesn't break my compiler like the last time I tried to migrate from 2015 to 2017;   I ended up having to install VS2017 on one of my game host servers and do all of my compiling there remotely....   all the players always complain of lag spikes when I compile the latest version of XMR-stak... lol!

Maybe Ill just attempt to install the whole ensemble onto my new daily driver laptop as it was replaced many months ago so i no longer use that machine that had its VS15/17 tainted and I could never get a complete compile/build of xmr-stak... this way I can still fallback onto a setup/config that I know still works for my primary goal.

The wiki they created is really helpful. I do compile on my personal PC but updating everything took a while. PS they just released 2.10.7.

Thanks for the merit! If I can help in anyway just let me know  Smiley

Thanks for the heads up.  Ill get on 2.10.7 a day or two after I get back to the mainland tomorrow;  I wanna bask in what remains of my stay here =)

NP on the merit;  you definitely earned it.
