I am a super noob when it comes to blockchain technology. I often see people are investing in Tokens & ICOs. I have no idea what are tokens & ICOs. But, I do understand that they hold value in money. and if purchased ahead of time you can make a huge profit after many years same as bitcoin has does for millions. Recently, I stumble upon this ongoing pre-sale of tokens for UTRUST. I don't know much about the company but the tokens price was $0.0065/each. I invested in UTRUST and bought 1000 tokens. It cost me about $65. Now my main question - Did I make the right decision by investing in UTRUST in terms of making profit? Bunch of thanks in advance.  Once you invested on ICO, don't just expect that you will make profit in the long run. Accept also that it may turned as loss as no one knows what's the future for this no matter how good and well active the development is. Tokens hyped because of investment purposes not because of the technology or benefits does that token can bring. Now to your question if it's right decision that you invested on a certain project ICO, you will just know the answer once you make profit. So take closely with the market once it was listed on exchanges. Most of ICO's are not listed in the market until now that i think they are just selling the token but they don't have plan to release in exchanges or listed in coinmarketcap. most of them are scam.. Only few ICO's are real and supported by developers .. So it will hard to invest in ICO's you will just invest for nothing . if you really wanted to make a good profit with your money buying bitcoin is the best choice and for alternative buy bitcoins that already in good rankings because there is potencial gains you get and the movement of the price is active than the other altcoin.. |

I am super new to mining and just want to make sure I am doing it right.

I3 intel processor 4400
I am running nicehash miner and when I check the Task Manager my CPU is at 99% and my GPU is at 6%. I am wondering if I am not getting the max load I can be getting out of my GPU or if this is normal.
Should my GPU show higher in the task manager?

I'm new to bitcoin and just installed my wallet yesterday. I paid my colleague to transfer some bitcoin to me to try it out, but it had been stuck in the network since then :S
I asked him to choose the "economical" method and that could/should be the problem.
I'm using Bitcoin wallet and I saw there's an option called "Raise network fee" Can anyone pls advise if i should use this? When i select that option, it prompted if i "want to raise the the network fee of this payment by mBTC 1.01?" If not this option, what should can i do? Any advise is much appreciated. TIA.

Bitcoin is not an investment, it's a currency and people should stop to talk about Bitcoin as an investment. Because people jumping on bitcoin see it wrongly as an investment while it's not. If Bitcoin was created to make people millionaire then everyone would have bought some bitcoins already. Well satoshi didn't know actually what will happen in bitcoin when he was created it.. And i think their majority why satoshi make bitcoin its because for payment processor but year past we seen that the price of bitcoin is getting more expensive due to demand and supply more impressions and more people are seeing the potencial of bitcoin and people are investing more in bitcoin that is why we are seen the price was increased high.. I was remember before 2015 the price of bitcoin was honestly cheap and bitcoin is hard to earn.. you can earn but you can get only few.. Only miners can getting more benefits if they already mine bitcoins before that they can save for a long time and use for investment.. So both purposes are investment and payment processor .. It is just like other currency like usd if you are living in other country your currency are really cheap expect that if you invest in usd and exchange it in the future you can getting benefits of the price increase of usd.. just like what happen here in my country and there are lots investors here are investing in usd instead because the exchange rate is getting more high.. So in bitcoin they are same that they are investing to get the value high and getting the benefits of it.. the problem the price is not slow the price is increase too much unlike a normal currency.. |

There are alternative in cloud mining site that i think much more safe.
If you already have savings in bitcoin better to build your own rig and mine altcoin that you can convert in bitcoin or use nicehash to mine it that autoconverts your altcoin to bitcoin..
This is much more recommended and safety if you love your bitcoin better to invest in your own hardware not investing in online that honestly not all online investment plan or cloud mining are safe..
There are lots of people already scammed so hope you think deeply before you invest..

I've transferred my BTC from bitcoin-qt to electrum. I'd like to split them into all the new coins. The electrum docs say you should see multiple chains under the server list. I'm only seeing one.
Any ideas?
I think you will not split your fork coin just to send your bitcoin to electrum because electrum is only bitcoin supported. you should get or backup the private key you use from your bitcoin-qt and import it in bitcoin gold wallet or bitcoin cash wallet if what honestly new coin you wanted to split.. I think it could be possible to get your new coin(bitcoin gold) in coinomi the same as bitcoin cash before.. I don't seen any wallet yet for bitcoin gold but other people are already sold their bitcoin gold and i think it will be more cheaper soon.. i heard someone sold their bitcoin gold in yobit they just transfer their bitcoin first in new wallet and backup private keys And check the site of bitcoin gold here https://bitcoingold.org/And check the wallet if what possible wallet could be supported and import your private keys sample coinomi.. I don't get what you've done here, how did you "brute force" those seeds? Are they yours and your just spreading FUD, or can you sign a message from each of those wallets to show you've hacked it? Also, everyone who uses electrum uses seeds (unless they import addresses which isn't recommended at all). Seeds are required for you to import on new electrum specially if the application or wallet have removed from a pc but yet I cant think off that this would really be possible to be bruteforce. You would still need that wallet.dat for sure not only on having those guessing seed. I do call this stuff as a joke. Bruteforcing those wallet seed 12 words is not really an easy stuff and yet you need those things before you can able to access it and yet op doesn't have any screenshots on what he was trying to claim on here. I think if you have seeds you dont need wallet.dat you can import your seeds even in other wallet without the wallet.dat Well Its possible to bruteforce some seeds but it needs a super PC to generate more faster.. but i think he is just generating seeds with his mind and import to electrum until he found some bitcoins but watch only.. It takes a lot of time to wait for 12 seed phrase before you can get a working seeds with bitcoin. and i think it takes a year or more before you can get bitcoin with bruteforcing.. |

Bitcoin Gold currently don't have wallet. If you want to claim BTG, you will need to wait minimum until 1 Nov. Currently only popular exchanges credits their BTG at the time of snapshot. Did you save the 12 word seed phrase? you can recover your wallet via this link https://blockchain.info/wallet/#/recoverIf you are just use the public key it will showing watch only so you need to use the link above and put the seed phrase to recover your wallet and transaction history and fully control your wallet.. I think it will not save if your phone is not rooted this is happening to me if i am using proxy even you save it and after you close and open again it will back to normal again your network settings will turn to default every time you close it..
I don't know if this will work but this is always happening in android even other apps if its not rooted ..
I recommend to download kingroot apk in playstore and try again.. and update here if its working or not..

I think it can be happen if amazon can accept bitcoin as payment. but this time this is your speculation and there is no assurance that $10,000 will reach before end of this year..
The much more possible to happen that i feel could be reach is around is $7,000 to $8,000 base on my own analysis.
$10,000 is a large amount that i think could be hard to reach but i believe that $10,000 can be happen next year not this year..
