Can't see 'em agreeing to that, somehow... but it's worth a try.

From the article, "it’s unlikely the machines can be remotely exploited at all". Yeah, they're not going to comply.

Elon Musk thinks paper money is going away and crypto will take its place.

Yeah, that's a given.

Amaury Sechet announced he is the original Satoshi Nakamoto with a hash on a twitter post but then deleted it.

Why would the real Satoshi post a teaser message claiming to be able to prove it, but not actually proving it?

Another Satoshi found on Earth:

Satoshis are getting really common these days!

We are all Satoshi!

Once again, the deep state tries to intimidate anyone aligned against them with a show of force. Modus operandi of the left.

Did you even watch the video? They politely knocked on his door and treated him softly. If you had bothered to read anything about the arrest, you'd know they had concerns with destruction of evidence, so the "force" used was quite tame considering the charges.

It matches DeathAndTaxes description of solidcoin.

Hard to believe nearly 4 years have passed since his last visit here.

5.0 is pretty standard for a full strength.

But 8 pints is 13.5 bottles.  I would be face down on the floor long before that.

I stick with 1-2 bottles per hour (for normal strength beers). More than that isn't enjoyable.

This guy hasn't posted in over a year, but he logs on every day and currently has the record for most time logged in to the forum -- by a longshot, too. Wonder what it would take to get him out of retirement.

Someone's got a script running.

[qoute]For the past weeks, we have worked extensively to address our liquidity issues, which include attempting to locate and secure our very significant cryptocurrency reserves held in cold wallets, and that are required to satisfy customer cryptocurrency balances on deposit, as well as sourcing a financial institution to accept the bank drafts that are to be transferred to us. Unfortunately, these efforts have not been successful. Further updates will be issued after the hearing.

Oh my..this doesnt sound good. How the hell do you lose the cold wallets?

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Idiot_defense

Quote
The term was popularized as a result of a number of high-profile corporate accounting scandal defendants claiming that all wrongdoing was performed by others, without the defendant's knowledge or consent. Attorneys for these defendants claimed that their skill was in valuation and deal-making, and that they lacked the training to recognize fraudulent accounting practices they claimed that they would have needed. However, in many cases the defendants' subordinates testified that the defendants ordered them to falsify the accounts.

 Roll Eyes

Not the first exchange to have this "happen".

You can only sell your gold and your silver to very few people because nobody is able to determine if it's real silver or gold.

Gold is very liquid in Thailand. There are gold shops everywhere that will easily buy and sell jewelry.

you just go to a bank and show your documents in person. they're not gonna scan or copy anything this way.

2. Can a bank keep copies of documents provided to verify a customer’s identity, in
addition to the description required under 31 C.F.R. § 103.121(b)(3)(i)(B), even if it is
not required to do so?

Yes, a bank may keep copies of identifying documents that it uses to verify a customer’s
identity.

I think it's safe to assume that some banks do keep scans. It's been ages since I opened an account, but I'm pretty sure they made photocopies of my ID.

Even most banks don't require scans of passports and driving licences. It's a pity decentralised exchanges don't have high volume markets.

W0rd, my banks don't have scans of my personal documents.

How? Banks don't allow anonymous accounts. How do they AML/KYC without your docs?

Once we free ourselves from being "victims" of circumstances then the sky is truly the limit.

Or you can be born into privilege and not have to "free" yourself of anything.

wow, this is a great site for spammers to collect active email addresses.  Grin

edit: most likely this site is trustworthy, it's just my paranoia

I'm not so sure. Looks like it's just run by one guy. Not a lot of assurances for me at least, whether intentional or not, it could have problems.

Remember, for Bitcoin to succeed, only fiat needs to fail. Little by little, drip drip drip....

Infinite inflation makes that inevitable.

However, I'm pretty certain he was always aware of the possibility of signing something with one of satoshi's strongly conjecturable keys to be pretty damned solid evidence for the claim.

Block 0 key, that's the only thing that would work. You can't do that, you ain't him.

Sometimes I forget I'm not logged in, and I'm like "FFS why am I see this shit from that fkn idiot troll again?" Lol

Most other people on my ignore list fade away. It's hard to believe he's still here.
